   Sotto Luna is a very good "neighborhood" Italian restaurant. All the basic dishes you'd expect plus some interesting specials. Pastas are prepared al dente but if having a pasta cheese (a manicotti, parmigiana, etc.) tend to be tooo cheesy. Very good Caesar Salads large enough for two but ask for light on the dressing. Desserts are ordinary. GOOD TO GO ON TUESDAY-THURSDAY When they have 3 course (actually 2 course since dessert is pedestrian biscotti) special dinners.

   Had a 730 reservation, did not sit down till 8 o’clock. It took almost 1 hour by the time we gave the waiter our order until the food came out.

   The food was the best Italian food I've eaten in years. One person had the penne a la vodka, one had chicken francese, which wasn't on the menu but they cooked. Another person had the pumpkin ravioli, as a special, and I had the halibut special. We started with salads, two people shared the large Caesar salad that they raved about, I had the salad with walnuts, oranges and goat chess. My husband had the eggplant melanzane which he said was delicious. We shared the tartufo and apple pies with vanilla ice cream. Again it was yummy with large portions and the apple pie was home made. We had an 8;30 reservation on NYE and we weren't rushed like many other restaurants who try to turn over tables quickly. We left at 10:45 and were the second to last table to leave.

   Went out to dinner on the spur of the moment on New Year's Eve. The hostess/manager couldn't have been nicer. A festive but low-key dinner is just what we wanted. There were enough vegetarian options for us, the fresh pasta, and salmon were cooked perfectly, and the house wine was very good. Even the warm crispy bread and roasted garlic that comes with the meal was satisfying on a rainy night. We haven't been to this local venue in a while, but we will be back!

    Dinner was perfect and we asked for a nice corner table and they were very accommodating. Waiter was extremely hospitable and attentive. Suggested a great appetizer and entree and food was terrific. Second time there no disappointments.

    Took my family to Christmas Eve dinner at Sotto Luna. They were not prepared for our reservation at 7:00pm. After waiting for 20 minutes in the doorway. The owner finally decided to set the empty table that was waiting prior to us walking in for our reservation. The dining room was packed and very noisy. When we sat we had to wait for menus and there were only 2 place settings for 4 people. The glasses were dirty and we had to ask them to clean them before they served us water. Eventually the waiter came over to take our drink order and midway through he stepped away from the table to talk to someone. Eventually our drinks came and my wine glass was filthy with food stuck to the stem and food fingerprints on the side of the glass. When we ordered appetizers they ran out of the Burrata and Prosciutto choice. Very strange to run out on Christmas Eve when they were only opened since 4:00pm. The baked clams were pedestrian with little flavor but the Calamari was crispy and not greasy. Service was extremely slow to the point where my party spent the whole meal flagging someone down for either water, bread or a clean utensil. It seemed like they were rationing the bread out because they were unprepared for customers. When asking the waiter where our food was he responded that the chef seems to have fallen asleep and everything was backed up. As we were about to ask for the check the food finally came out. The presentation of the Veal de Limone was atrocious. They served a few pieces on a small plate and then vegetables and 2 small potato cubes on another small plate. When we asked the server for more potatoes he said absolutely I will bring them now. Guess what he never returned to the table or even in our area of the small dining room. To that point, the owner circulated the room talking to tables but never once did she come to our table to check how things were. Horrible owner that doesn’t believe in good customer service for the overpriced food. Horrible place!

    We r frequent guests at restaurant. We came with our grandsons and asked for table off to the-side. We were told it wax not an option although they were half empty at the time. We assured host we would be quick as we had young children with us. The host declined to make any change even though table not reserved. Disappointed that as frequent diners we were not accommodated.

    Had dinner on Saturday night. Had to wait a long time before the waiter came over to take a drink order. After we git our menus we had to wait an extremely long period of time for the waiter to cone back and take our dinner order. Then ii took an extremely long time for our dinner to come out. No one came by to say it would take a long time for the food to come out. After the food came out no one came by during dinner to check on us. The waiter was MIA during dinner. No one cane by to see if we wanted another round of drinks - which we would have done. We didn’t order after dinner drinks or dessert because we were afraid it would never come out. So because of the bad service the restaurant lost the money we would have spent on more drinks, dessert and after dinner drinks. This was our second time here and the service was no better than our first visit. Even though the food was good both times we won’t be back due to the poor service.

    Another visit to Sotto Luna for dinner. Always interesting specials and a fine menu. Service is top notch, a small, quality neighborhood find, generally very quiet (this was a Saturday and a little busier) so conversation is easy.

    Our waiter was inept. We asked to be moved after a large and noisy party was seated right after us at the next table. Manager came over an thought we were complaining about the temperature being to cold. Having ordered a cola to be served when entrées were served; it arrived half way through. Ordered an espresso with dessert that did not arrive. Waiter blamed the bus person and scolded her in the middle of the room. He brought me a hot cup of coffee along with our bill. I told he I did not want it. ( He should have bought an espresso gratis and apologized). We were there at 5:30 on a Friday and when we left at 7:00 they were only one third full. Another turn-off was the butcher paper on top of the table cloth. The food was great but won’t be back because of everything else.

    Came here about 6 months ago and decided to have dinner here again this past weekend. So glad we did! Loved our appetizer salad of mozz, beets and portobello mushrooms along with the delish crusty bread. My veal scallopini and my hubby's eggplant parm were both hot and tasty. Nice selection of grilled veggies accompanying my dish. Apple tart was a great choice. Will gladly return!

    The restaurant is very consistent in its food, service and efforts to please the customer. We have been going to this restaurant for ten years and you can always count on a quality dining experience. The pork chops, sea food and veal dishes are carefully prepared and are highly recommended, especially the grilled pork chop with potatoes, onions and mushrooms are as good as it gets. All meals begin with a tasty bread plate accompanied by baked garlic glove as a spread with the bread. From that point on it only gets better. Enjoy!
