At Sotto, Executive Chef Steve Samson and Chef de Cuisine Craig Towe deliver an honest, market-driven menu of regionally-inspired Southern Italian dishes, including fresh housemade pastas and Neapolitan pizza cooked in an artisan wood burning oven. This wood burning oven was built onsite by Neapolitan craftsmen with traditional techniques that have been passed on from generation to generation and is the first of its kind in the Los Angeles area.



Our food is complemented by a fresh, seasonally relevant cocktail program with a strong background in the classics and the utilization of lesser known Italian liqueurs. We also offer an eclectic list of boutique wines from Southern Italy.

Went to celebrate a big birthday for mom after having been for our anniversary. It was another delicious meal but do wish they had a larger selection of more reasonably priced wines. Service was excellent and tailored to our needs. Ambience is lovely (dark, cozy, and almost sultry but not pretentious). We love the place and expect to be long time patrons.

Risotto undercooked, fish slightly over cooked, bathroom dirty, glassware was dirty, it was a prix fix menu but we were given a bill for one of the items that was not clear it was extra. Overall food good but disappointed with the level of care.

We had a great early Valentine's day dinner. Great place for a meal and great experience. Only down side is noise level was very loud. Not best place for romantic dinner when they are busy.

both the paccheri with spicy pork ragu, rapini, and fennel and blistered snap peas with mint and ricotta were unusual and exceptional. the margherita pizza with burrata was terrific, the crust was unexpected (kind of spongy) yet quite tasty. the bistecca aged ribeye was also very, very good. even the homemade bread with anchovy butter was we excellent. got the buttermilk zeppole (like beignets) for dessert and they were also great.

Meal was delicious, our waiter was very attentive and timely. Its kinda small but that made it really cozy and romantic. Its a hidden gem and I’ll definitely be back!

The room was packed, but the hosts kept patrons moving along. We were seated w/in a few minutes of our reservation time. The waiter was pleasant and helpful in our menu selections. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We look forward to dining at Sotto again.

It was okay - I was excited to go but wasn't thrilled with the experience to be honest. The food was so so. The service was good but for the overall cost there are much better options around town.

wonderful pre-event dinner. Theo was super helpful and informative when it came to the wine list. Food was delicious, everything we ordered. We wanted to skip our event and stay longer for more wine and leisurely drinking at Sotto. Finally got their pizza and it deserves all the praise and hype ever delivered on it.

Fun time. Great Food. Disorganized service 3 people asked for our drink order. Once we got drinks, no o e came for our food order until we flagged someone down. Food was delicious. Need to be chill about the service.

Visited for DineLA which is always a great chance to try out a restaurant and was not disappointed! First off the service and staff is so attentive with having been kindly greeted from everyone from the waiters, bus boys, and the manager who even dropped in to ask how everything was. Waitress was great about making suggestions and asking how we wanted to pace out our meal. So 5 stars for service. As for the food we were impressed by what the DineLA menu had to offer and the portion and flavors were perfect. The branzino and pork shoulder were so perfectly cooked, tender, and tasty. The standouts where the home made bread with anchovy butter, the short rib, and pork shoulder. I will definitely be returning to try the pizza and more of their wines. I loved the ambiance as well, it was cozy and a place I could see myself coming back to. Thanks for a great evening!

One of my favorite restaurants. My girl and I eat here all the time. My friends join us often. Sent many people here and always get thank you’s. The staff is always friends and the pasta and pizza are spectacular.

I took my son and his girlfriend to celebrate his 30th birthday, and it was a magical evening. The ambience was lovely; contemporary but homey at the same time. Everything from the cocktails, wine list, food, dessert and service were first class. We started with the burrata
cheese and bread. OMGosh, it was amazing!! My son had the braised short rib which was the special of the night. HIs girlfriend had pizza and I had linguine with clams; all fabulous.
For dessert, we had gelato and an order of Zeppole (Italian donuts). We cannot wait to
return to Sotto. It was a wonderful dining experience!

I’ve been to Sotto before and really enjoyed the experience. I think the issue was that the dinela menu just wasn’t very good and the wait staff were just overrun.

4 of us had a 5:45pm reservation. At 8pm we were asked to switch tables to accommodate a large party. So we switched. To a high table in the noisy bar. After 45 min we were asked to leave because "people are waiting". In all my years of dining- I have never been asked to move TWICE!!!!!!! No thanks, Sotto. You just lost a long time customer. Hope the people waiting were worth it.

This is our second time to Sotta - last year and this year for DineLA- it is remarkable, divine and we loved our waitress. The menu for DineLA was excellent from appetizers to desert!! from carrots, smoked trout on toast to entrée all awesome to the parsnip cake- OMG !! Good selection for cocktails and they we were well executed. A find through the dineLA process- that was our lucky day - those who live in the area are fortunate to have this gem near them !! thank you for such a great experience

I had this place logged as a possible future visit as it appears to be one of the most decent Naples style pizzerias in the LA area. Appetizers were well done, especially the octopus is a must have! Pizzas were ok, would have wanted to have them slightly less cooked since the surface was a bit over burnt which makes the pizza look worse and corrupts the taste. Pasta was ok. The overall atmosphere was nice.
