Was able to get a table at the last minute during the 14th annual capitola car show. Staff were attentive, the food was phenomenal. Delicious drinks and yummy food. Certainly a repeat destination for me. I appreciate when all comes together well in all areas. Comfortable, great view of the ocean in capitola village.

Fabulous place to eat in Capitola...great spot, great views, food is quite good.
Only complaint is, once summertime hits the village, parking can be tough.

The food is great here, probably the best on the Esplanade. I like the addition of the Aperol cocktails. I wish they would bring back the barbacoa grilled cheese. It was the best!

This was our third time at Sotola. It was Saturday night and the restaurant was very busy. The location and view are nice and the food was very good. The service was poor. We had a reservation and waited 40 minutes for a table. We specifically requested to not be seated outside, but that is where we ended up. We waited in the bar and it took 20 minutes for our drink to be served. We were observing the young lady bartender who was doing an amazing job, but there should have been at least 2 bartenders. She even had to stop and take some food orders at tables in the bar. On the other hand, once we were seated, the dinner service improved tremendously. We will probably go back, but will only go mid week in the winter when it is not so busy.
