We really wanted to like this place but service was just too slow and inattentive. We had a party of 6 at 7pm on a Saturday night. Kitchen couldn’t produce food and took too long for drinks. Wine list is great and would be back for happy hour
First visit. Good Happy Hour . Fairly crowded due to Galentine’s Day. But seated right away and service was solid and attentive. Parking can be a challenge but we got lucky. Would go back. Menu was ok and big wine selection if you have specific needs.
Great atmosphere. Perfect got late night light snack or an entire meal. Bar service was excellent.
We chose this restaurant based on the fact we were looking for a low key place for a dinner meeting. My colleague and I arrived early so we sat at the bar waiting for the rest our party. Actual conversation with the bartender:
“This is our first time here - do you specialize or feature any particular types of wine?”
“Yes, we specialize in old world wines”
“Great - what Bordeaux do you have?”
“What wines do you have from France?”
“Oh, we don’t have any French wines”
“Ok, do you have a Chianti you would recommend?”
“I think we may have one from California on tap “
It went down hill from there. We sat down at our table and 10 minutes in, the music stopped and the televisions started to blare. I asked the waiter what was happening and he proceeded to tell me it was “The Bachelor “ night. Two hours hearing a television show blaring during dinner. The food was mediocre at best and service so so.
Met up with family. Overall good but my flatbread wasn’t served correct- I ordered tomato sauce and it came with tomatoes. Also food came out slow and not at the same time.
I loved the wine and the atmosphere!
We are here on vacation and decided to bring our kids here because we have been to this restaurant several times and liked it. We were having a great time until our server disappeared. Finally someone tracked him down and he said the dishwasher had left so he was having to wash dishes. Strange experience.
My sisters and I met at Sorso to plan a birthday celebration for our Mom. We had the best waiter, I think his name was JT (?). He was wonderful in his recommendations and service. We will be back!
The staff at Sorso is friendly & helpful, especially TJ - great bartender. The food is mediocre for the most part, but there are certainly some good menu staples! They have a hefty wine selection & offer fun events throughout the week such as Monday Bachelor Nights & Wednesday Trivia (super fun and all are involved if desired!)
Bad night at Sorso. Waited over an hour for a salad decided to leave
Fantastic visit! Great concept. Eclectic and viable menu. Above average wine selection... and a full bar.
Will go again and recommend to friends.
Outstanding with the team "more than satisfying" their customers that they treat like a loving family.
I’m not sure why they call themselves a wine room when they have a ridiculously small wine list. Food leaves a lot to be desired too
Great atmosphere and great service. Easy parking!
The happy hour specials at Sorso cannot be beat! However, this time it took our food (only one appetizer which was on the happy hour menu) over a half hour to come out; to the point that we were done with our bottle of wine and ready to leave by the time it was served. Hopefully the appetizers can come out a little sooner in the future.
Love this small wine bar! Great place to meet friends for happy hour. Good selection of wines at reasonable prices, especially during happy hour. Great food, too!
OUTSTANDING does not do this restaurant justice since the service, food, ambiance, and most of all happy team "more than satisfies" each and every guest. You actually feel like you are at home with the family and have an extremely fun filled experience. The flat bread - as far as I am concerned, it is the best anywhere. If you enjoy a thin crust crisp Pizza - you should try their flatbread. We have never had a dish we did not "more than enjoy".
I absolutely love thin crust pizza and search for the right crust wherever I travel. Then, to my surprise, I discovered (actually my precious wife told me about) SORSO (look it up to see what it means). SORSO satisfied my desire for thin crust when we order their FLATBREAD. Recently we have ordered their Bruschetta and it has become our second choice. The team makes you feel like "family" and "more than satisfies" you as their guest. THANK YOU SORSO and looking forward to many endless returns.
If you love FLATBREAD and/or crisp thin crust pizza - I highly suggest this fabulous customer friendly establishment. You're made to feel like part of the family almost the moment you step in the door. We frequent this restaurant and they amaze us by "more than satisfying" their guests each and every time. We recently tried their bruschetta and it was outstanding. (no surprise - their salads were also!)
The worst service the waiter brought the food and disappear for the rest of the evening
Our first visit was pleasant enough but not overly warm and fuzzy vibes. Cramped space: small tables with metal, uncomfortable chairs. The bruschetta was tasty. The flatbread was so-so. the Brussels were a table hit, especially with the hunk of delicious blue cheese. House wine average. Great to see this corner wine bar full but the footprint is becoming too small. We will return to give it another go.
My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary and glad we checked this place out. We happened to come in during happy hour so we got to try a few different wines and they all were great. We also tried four of their bruschetta and they were out of this world: the mascarpone and berries, goat cheese and olive tapenade, mozzarella and tomato, and salami. We will go back again to try out the charcuterie and more wines!
The staff is friendly and helpful. The wine selection is great. Nice place to hang out and catch up with friends.
Wonderful as always!!
As always, Joey is the best! He always makes our evening so much fun. And who can beat all day happy hour during Trivia Night.
Food was excellent. Great wine selection. Our server was nice, but she was pulling double duty as a bartender as well. Waited awhile to get refills on drinks. Overall was a great time and experience.
Menu is great. Lots of small plate options and everything we had was delicious. I’m not a wine drinker (my friends loved that aspect) but they had a good selection of scotch too. We’ll be back.
The happy hour wines were great and The Dip was delicious! Terrific place to get together with friends!
We went for the first time with another couple on Saturday night at happy hour. We ordered five different dishes and each was terrific. The service was very good as well. The only criticism I have is that I think the drinks were watered down during happy hour. Of course, what can you expect when a mixed drink is just $4-$7 dollars!
I’m a wine collector and have an above average knowledge of the marketplace. I found the markup on bottles to be excessive - more than double retail! At the same time, I doubt many folks are ordering bottles of wine. The debit card for self servicing wines by the glass is cool. Go and have a good time - and great food.
An incredible high energy and happy team that "more than satisfies" their customers. Personally I feel they have the best Flat Bread.
Adam was super helpful and accommodating with menu options and related challenges around food allergies
My second time here and another win. Made a reservation for four as a night out with friends and there was a small mix up as to the high top tables having a divider that made the option a challenge. The staff made adjustments and swapped us to another table by the time our friends arrived. As always the food and drinks where excellent and the service was prompt and friendly.
I don’t normally write reviews.
Our service was excellent. Food was excellent. It wasn’t too loud nor too quiet. Just right. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be going back again and again.
When making reservations on Open Table, I redeemed points for a $10 gift card to this specific restaurant. When we went to pay our bill, they refused to accept the $10 gift card saying that it wasn’t in their system. When we checked in for our reservation, we were in their system, so this is BS! I even had a hard copy of the gift card, as well as the confirmation email which I showed them. The guy didn’t even look at it, and told me they were new to Open Table (a lie) and they couldn’t redeem it.
We will never come back here, not just because if this incident, but the food is mediocre and the service is absolutely terrible. It took us over a half hour to check out. At the grossly overpriced wine they have, they can more than afford the $10 they took from me.
Great happy hour! Excellent food.
Having a reservation we felt rushed out after 2 1/2 hrs. With appetizers and 3 drinks it does takes some time to enjoy. Will never return back when waitress says we have 15 mins left at our table because our table is needed for the next person.
The menu has gotten stale and needs to be reworked. Too many restaurants have bruschetta, flatbreads, and Brussels sprouts. Frankly, it was boring. The wine deal at Happy Hour is great.
I am a lover of thin crust. This restaurant has the greatest thin crust flatbread (perhaps because I always ask for it to be crisp and thin). The manager, Mathew, is there to share a friendly hello which influences all of his team to "over-satisfy" their guests. You leave with a "WOW!" that was awesome and appreciate the great service followed up with a sincere check that all was okay.
I don't understand how such a cute wine bar can have such TERRIBLE service. The last 3 experiences there were so horrible. I only have gone back because my friend wanted to watch the bachelorette there. The staff is rude and unintelligent.
I had a girl two times ago I asked about one of the wines and she said "I don't know I'm 19." ummm.. OK I understand you can't drink BUT at a nice wine bar the managers should train their staff on how to describe wine - especially wine that is insanely over priced compared to any other restaurant.
This time I had to stare down a guy to get someone to greet our table. No he was not busy he was standing in the corner near the bar with another server on their phones.
It makes me sad because this place has great potential but the servers are embarrassing and bring the restaurant down to about 1 star.
