Food was very good. It was EXTREMELY loud. Service only "OK" but they were very busy. Biggest issue was I signed up for the upstairs Chef's Table but we were seated downstairs without explanation.
The hostesses are very friendly and recognized us from our reservation. There seemed to be a good vibe walking in, and the setting felt fun and energetic. The decor has a nice mix of class and hip. We had dinner rather early because it was a travel day.
The server was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. We ordered a bruschetta to start. I had a few questions about the main courses on the menu that he was unable to answer. Specifically, I wanted to know how the side dishes were prepared. He verified which vegetables were in the mix and that they were sautéed and not steamed. The other side was roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Based on this information, I ordered the chicken piccata. My wife ordered the eggplant sorrento with penne.
The bruschetta came out in a timely fashion and was tasty. The tomatoes were out of season so I wasn’t expecting farm fresh. There was enough crostini, and over all the portion was perfect for the two of us.
The timing for the main courses was spot on, however this is where everything went down hill. My wife’s three-cheese and prosciutto stuffed eggplant came with a huge quantity pasta and a very bland sauce. It looked a little thrown together and lacked flavor. The eggplant was overwhelmed with the ricotta. Sadly, the prosciutto was mostly big chunks of fat and tendon rather than thin slivers one would expect. The marinara sauce was almost devoid of herbs and flavor.
The chicken piccata was another disappointment. The chicken was tender, and the white wine lemon sauce was nicely seasoned. It needed to be in order to baldness everything else in the plate. The mashed potatoes were a little thin and boring, especially with the thin wine sauce. The veggies disappointed. They had the appearance of steamed veggies, but had a lot of crunch. They tasted more blanched than anything else. If they were sautéed, they probably hadn’t hit the pan for more than 30 seconds. No caramelization. No seasoning. Pretty bland.
$70 just food 🙃
Really excellent food, great service and a nice atmosphere made for a very good evening out with the family. Highly recommend.
Server wAs excellent
Excellent!!! Large portions & oohhh so many appetizers.. maybe that’s why we had left overs... Great Italian food, if you are in town, give them a try.
We tried the pizza this time and was not disappointed! The Burrata appetizer was great even though tomatoes are now in season locally!
I’ve eaten here a million times. Just never know what you are going to get. Food is good more often than not. Never bad,,,just better at times. Service is hit and miss.
We have been here for supper but this was the first time we went for lunch. It was every bit as good. Portion sizes are substantial and the service is quick and efficient. One of our favorite places. Highly recommend.
Great dinner and great service!
Everything we have had has been amazing...Hands
down the best Italian, pizza and Brunch in the area!
Enjoyed our meal, service and ambience. Will return!
Excelente!
Tortellini Sorrento is amazing. We got 4 main dishes and everyone said that this dish was the best.
I would recommend bringing cash because they do charge a surcharge to pay with your credit card.
Brunch was awesome!! We loved the food and the service and atmosphere were great! We didn’t get to try any brunch cocktails because we were about to head out of town and back home, but we will definitely be back and hopefully get to try the bloody Mary’s and mimosas! We will definitely come back!
My husband and I had dinner here. I loved my Chicken Marsala and my hubby enjoyed his Chicken Parm. We had Burrata for an appetizer, it was soo good!
This review is for Sorrento's. We had great time and the owner made sure everything was to our liking. Was impressed with how many times she touched our table. Definitely recommend Sorrento's. We also ate at Chef's Table the next night. It was ok. Wasn't that impressed with the Bartender....long wait times to get a drink. They also under cooked our daughter's Filet.
Amazing weekend brunch with awesome outdoor seating options....Highly recommend!
Always a great experience dining at sorrentos, service is always great food is perfect, menu has plenty of options. Unique art on the walls and the flambé dessert is a great added experience by the table.
Reagan is a great waitress, attentive and helpful and a joy!
We love Sorrento's for our Saturday night dates! Great food, easy atmosphere!
Delicious. Very loud.
Service was less than exceptional. You could tell the server was either new or just inattentive.
The food was pretty good but it could’ve used a little more seasoning. Across-the-board from the lasagna to the bruschetta, it was a little under seasoned.
The ambience was amazing.
I loved my experience at Sorrento's. The food and service are excellent.
The worst service ever, we were ignored the whole night like an after thought...no drink refills, no bread to table, plates weren’t removed. Waitress’s didn’t care about our table whatsoever. Food was cold. Bland tasting. Weren’t even allowed to order desert, we were just given a check without even being asked and pushed out. I expect a call back and refund.
Over all experience is perfect. Worth a long ride just to have taste of the famous sorentos
Great service, food is generally good. We liked the appetizers though we've had better crab cakes and the Salmon special entree was good. Unfortunately I had a seafood pasta dish that was undercooked. One of the mussels was not even open. They took it off the bill. We'll go again. Prices are too high.
They sat us next to the bathrooms requesting a new table when we saw 6 tables open.
The Burrata salad had thick hard tomatoes.
The fettuccini was gummy and hard to chew and swallow. The cup of plain black coffee was $5.00
Huge portions. Don’t need apps or salads
Amazing food and nice waiters WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Delicious!!!!!!!
Service was good. Food was nothing special. Sauce tasted like Ragu. Pricey for what you get.
The food was great. We ate at both the Chef’s Table and downstairs in Sorrento's. Chefs Table was absolutely amazing and a great way to celebrate our honeymoon. The downstairs was very nice and much more casual, just wish we hadn’t been sat by an extremely loud and annoying large group.
Very good restaurant. Good food, good service. Main dining room has high ceilings and hard surfaces and thus was quite loud. Other rooms may be quieter
Best Francaise ever. Salon salad always good. Carolina was delightful.
The food was great! We came during lunch hours and they were only serving pizza and wings but then gave us the whole menu to choose from which was a great thing. All dishes we ordered were tasty
We had a lovely meal! The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful. We will be back!
We stopped here on our vacation and the food was fabulous. We had very good service and they had very nice ambience. We will be back
We unfortunately had a poor experience at Sorrento's, after having visited ~10 times in my life. My parents and I stopped by for a Monday night dinner, only to be left with a very poor taste in our mouths. The service was awful, it was impossible to get a refill for our waters, the martini was served in a champagne glass, and they were out of wine glasses to serve us our bottle of Cabernet. The caesar salad was excellent, to say the least. My mother received linguini with clams that had a disproportionate amount of red pepper on it, making it inedible. We told the server who proceeded to apologize, but then brought us the bill and still included it on the bill. That is a terrible practice, to charge patrons for a completely uneaten dish. I will say we were very disappointed having been local to the area for many years. I will not be returning.
Great place to have dinner. Awesome service.
My wife & I stumbled upon this amazing restaurant on accident when we were told of. Long wait time elsewhere. What LUCK. We live 2 1/2 hrs away and it has became our favorite spot to to dine now. We’ve been back 4 times in 5 weeks! AMAZING Brunch & the Man in the Blue Jacket is the best! Highly recommend! Food is great, atmosphere & service is better! Don’t miss out on the brunch!!
Food was fabulous, staff was friendly. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely table outside, and brought our little dog. Their patio is covered and has heaters, so if you're looking for an outdoor spot, this is a nice one! Chicken Marsala was fabulous, and my husband had a seafood dish, also delicious.
