Great place for date night or a special occasion. Food is mouth watering. We had the oysters, gnocchi with lobster, filet mignon, truffle fries, and chocolate cake dessert! We were impressed with it ALL! Service was also very prompt and helpful. We will definitely be going back.
Before seeing "Breath and Imagination" at the Lyric (which was wonderful) we had an early dinner and were more than pleased. To start, there were many choices for both of us who have different tastes. Then there was a varied cocktail and wine list. The service was heartwarming. We asked him to make choices for us and he got them right. The food was delightful. We have been before and enjoyed ourselves. It has now taken its place in our most favored Boston restauraants. OK, here is our list. Island Creek, Dueax Ave, Eastern Standard, Mistral, Oceanaires, Acquitaine. Our standarrds - I would go any night for any reason to eat well and be treated like I was welcome.
Solid meal - i have had the veal Milanese before, and it was still good. The proportions were right. Not too big, but left feeling i had a full meal. Nice ambiance. Good wine list.
Christmas Get together
Amazing! Out of all the restaurants we visited this time around in Boston, the best was Sorellina by far! The foie was amazing! Octopus great! Tuna tartare one of the best I’ve had. Burrata was great and fir main course, the veal medallion and veal chops to die for. Truffle fries and polenta exquisite! Was too full for dessert, but the bombilinis were amazing! Highly recommend thus restaurant
It was a wonderful evening; great food and service.
We will be back!
We come back time and again with friends and are always pleased.
Great place with wonderful service and food!!!
Prices are high but good for a special meal!
I love this restaurant so much, I dined there twice in ten days. There is a quiet elegance about the restaurant, so I really enjoy being seated in that space. The menu offerings are great. The gem salad (with the current problems surrounding romaine, they are using gem lettuce and the Romaine salad does not suffer) is generously sized and delicious. The veal dish is comprised of 3 medallions with mashed potatoes in a delicious, richly-flavored sauce. For a treat, definitely try the truffle fries. Unfortunately, there was no room for dessert. The wait staff is warm, knowledgeable about wine pairing and food selection, and very helpful.
Birthday for a friend. Seven of us altogether and food and service were outstanding
We had the pleasure of dining at Sorellina on a cold and breezy night this autumn. What a fabulous experience. The staff are friendly and personable. The food was presented like it was a magazine photo shoot and very delicious. Wine offerings and advice was perfect. The restaurant is lively but they have somehow made it still quite quiet for a Boston restaurant. Cannot wait to go back.
We went for our 14 year Anniversary. The place was beautiful, the food was incredible and the staff were the best I've seen. We asked for dessert and the plate had "Happy Anniversary" written on it which was a great touch and made our night more special. Thank you Sorellina!
Absolutely amazing experience. I was in town for a very short trip from the West Coast and has to find some Italian food. Sorellina exceeded expectations on all levels - incredible service, inventive & high quality food, and great selection. Incredible!
Warm and friendly welcome. Hostess gave us the option of waiting at the bar or going straight to our table; we went to the bar. When we decided to eat, our server was knowledgeable, helpful and could not do enough to make the dining experience a good one.
We love Sorellina. It is ideal for celebrations or for a small romantic or business dinner because the food is terrific and special, the service is friendly helpful, they know how to help and how to stay out of the way.
Sorellina deserves every star it gets and more!!! Always a fabulous dining experience no matter the occasion. I had the most fantastic, moist halibut served with crispy oyster mushrooms, generous pieces of lobster and gnocchi. Sorellina has always been my second favorite dinner restaurants in Boston, but this past weekend it jumped to number one!

Our experiences at Sorellina are nothing short of spectacular. The ambiance is warm and inviting. We're greeted in a friendly way, taken to our table, and know that something very special awaits us. The staff is remarkable and attentive. The food is beautifully prepared and absolutely scrumptious. In this crazy and frenetic world, it's wonderful to walk in to a place and for a few hours to be taken care of in such an incredible manner. Leaving Sorellina, the four of us remarked how much we love coming and dining with you. It has become one of our all time favorites for dining with friends and/or celebrating milestones. It never ever disappoints!
Lovely dinner , everything was outstanding
Incredibly over-priced. $40 for a small bowl of pasta. We live around the corner and are used to “city dinning” but this place is an absolute price gouge. Plenty of other places that are equally as good at a fraction of the price.
Amazing food and great ambiance, the quality of our meals was amazing and the service impressive.
The whole experience was great, the food perfect and the service remarkable. I would definitely return.
Pricey, but great place for a date.
The place was amazing and the food was really exotic. Enjoyed every dish..perfect for a birthday or a date night
Great restaurant for special occasion. From the moment we walked in, you could feel the sophistication of this Italian restaurant. Everything is done with quality (food and service) and is sure to impress for any occasion. I would highly recommend the Maccheroncelli - meat balls and pasta in a Montepulciano wine sauce reduction. I've never come across anything quite like it and it was fantastic!
Food tasted great initially but was very time sensitive. Both Salmon and pasta tasted poor after only a few minutes of being served. The temperature control could have been better, as the food became cold much too quickly. Possibly consider heating up the plates. Both my girlfriend and I had upset stomachs after we left Sorellina. It is worth trying for a special occasion, but I think 1 time is enough for us.
Excellent quality, fresh ingredients. Great service.
Deliciously prepared food. Couldn’t say more.
The food was salty the waiters did not authorize the truffle special because it was just me and my son and they don’t think will eat it.
Always good, reliably delicious food. Professional service.
Great for business conversation around 6 pm. Got busy and louder around 7 pm so plan accordingly. Excellent food and service.
The entire experience at Sorellina was great. Good atmosphere, quiet, fantastic service and delicious food. A bit expensive, but worth it. I would definitely go back again when I am in Boston.
Way too expensive for portions given. Food was good but not worth the price
Never fails to impress. My go to when I want a guaranteed great food experience
The food was fabulous. The servers were wonderful and very nice. Unfortunately, the hostesses were snotty so not a great first impression of the restaurant at all.
Excellent food, but preposterous prices. Wait staff promotes truffled dishes without so much as a wink or a grin. Upscale decor, and if you want a break from restaurants where even big spenders don't bother to change out of their denim and sweatshirts, you won't feel uncomfortable wearing business casual or better.
Elegant dining! Beautiful bar and restaurant.
Food is delectable with great service.
I had salmon which I thought was on the salty side . Everything else was delicious.
