We live in NY and are big foodies. This was our second of many more visits to Sorellina.
We absolutely loved the food and the service was great. The dessert got lost in the kitchen somehow but we eventually received it and enjoyed.
They also arranged for complimentary car service to take us to a venue after.
Loved it and will highly recommend.
Slower service than I would have liked, especially for the cost; layout of the restaurant creates more undesirable tables than there should be in a restaurant of that caliber (5 or 6 tables are right near the kitchen door). Otherwise great.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Great lication in downtown Boston.
Chose to eat here because it was highly rated and just a short walk from our hotel. Surprised to find it was everything we expected and a lot more. Cuisine was quite original and preparations were tasty. Drinks were perfect. Service was exceptional without the feeling of someone hovering over you all the time. An experience not often found but long remembered once it happens. I would return in a flash. Tarso can wait on us whenever we're back.
They help split the plates. Very considerate!
Excellent service, very friendly staff. We were there for an anniversary -- I had not indicated anything when we arrived other than having indicated it on the open table reservation. They wrote "happy anniversary" in chocolate on our desserts, which was a very nice surprise.
Both appetizers and main courses were delicious, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully served (we shared two appetizers, and were each divided up and served separately). The wine lost was excellent, and selections, although they weren't cheap, were not overpriced. The service was understated, professional, helpful, and unpretentious. My wife had a conference in Boston, and this was our special "night on the town." Sorellina was perfect for such an occasion!
Birthday and ore- marathon
Every thing was wonderful except the food was served too fast.
Highly recommend. Service, ambience, food, wine list—all superb.
No one has even asked what that special occasion was.
Went for a birthday dinner. The restaurant is beautiful, very clean and very classy. The waiter was very kind and good at explaining and not making us feel rushed. It was very quiet which was nice . The only drawback was the portions were small for how costly they were. But overall had a good time!
Very carefully prepared food. Need to not care about price as things are expensive. Service and ambience are consistent with high diniing
Always amazing! The meatballs are the best you will ever eat.
Sorellina is quickly becoming one of our favorite places for a fine meal. It feels like a hidden gem, with attentive service and creatively excellent cuisine (some of the best oysters we've found). We haven't had a misfire yet, though sometimes the plating can obscure the intended balance of a dish. The service deserves special mention - just what you'd hope for in a white-tablecloth restaurant, with a personable, friendly approach that never feels stiff. To date, we've been under time pressure whenever we've gone, which they've handled very well, so we look forward to having a properly leisurely experience someday soon.
Very nice, sophisticated atmosphere, attentive service
The food is the best Italian you will ever taste.
Excellent restaurant with excellent staff. Our waiter, Kirk, was fantastic as was the manager who’s name escapes me. The food was well cooked with excellent flavors. A variety of good options on the menu, to meet a diverse palette. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time as it gets busy. Or go early.
Consistently excellent . Food and service are over the top . One of the BEST dining in Boston. Staff is amazing and they always remember us. Wish I could rate this more than outstanding !
Thank you!
Beautiful restaurant with wonderful ambiance and consistently excellent food. Although expensive, it is worth the price for a special evening out. The wait-staff and sommelier are great.
We can’t rave about this place enough. We were late for our reservation and worried we would lose our table, but were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and patient with us. The wine list and other drink selections are so amazing! From the bread and butter to our actual entrees and dessert, we couldn’t have been more impressed by Sorellina. You really do get your moneys worth, and our server deserved a generous tip and recognition!
Excellent food! This is my second time dining in this lovely restaurant and chef Marga Rafucci is outstanding. The setting and service is excellent too. Will return.
I couldn't believe how many 5-star reviews this place got - until I ate there myself. It is probably the best restaurant in Boston.
Disappointing. Food was lacklustre, restaurant was very cold and dark. The servers served over you and we shoved in a table blocked by a massive pillar. Would not recommend.
Everything was fantastic and top notch!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Sorellina. The wine list was very inviting, even though there were many wines which would not fit into our own budget, we found a really good bottle of Italian red, which fit well in with the dishes we had.
The cocktails are something to write home about, while the desserts were great. We had a hard time deciding which primi and secondi plater we wanted to take, because almost all the options were something we wanted to try.
The service at this place is superb.
We enjoyed it very much- excellent meal, service and ambience. We will return!
Food was absolutely excellent, service too! Reservation was true to time, no wait to be seated.
Sat at the bar. Great staff. Amazing food!!
always a pleasure to dine here. excellent food, service, and ambiance. quiet enough for great conversation with the perfect background music that perfectly matches the mood
Love the restaurant for all occasions!
Sorellina is my favorite restaurant in Boston and I come every year for my birthday. I loved everything I ordered with the exception of the scallops. They were a little difficult to eat as they were over cooked and the parsnip purée was kind of off-putting in combination with the scallops but no complaints otherwise! Will definitely continue the birthday tradition.
Great wait staff and excellent food. Dark and quiet. Great for a date or couple outing.
Authentic and upscale Italian cuisine with impeccable service in a modern, clean atmosphere. Great wine list!
Server was friendly and knowledgeable, giving advice when asked. Prompt service, as one of our party had a flight to catch. Tasty food in beautiful venue.
this restaurant is always first rate at etery occasion I have been there. Excellent, friendly service from staff with longevity. It is expensive -- my bill with one cocktail, one glass of wine, and three courses was $115 exclusive of tip. Subdued lighting makes menu reading difficult.
The food and service at Sorellina were amazing, spot on from arrival and drinks at the bar through to the dessert. We ate three courses and every single dish was spot on.
Excellent meal. Third time I’ve eaten here and it has been great on each occasion. Really good Caesar salad. Good foie gras. Amazing lobster gnocchi. Will make it a point to eat here every time I visit Boston.
we were in Boston looking at colleges for our daughter and wanted an Italian restaurant. I am originally from Italy and travel there often so am a food snob regarding Italian food. We loved Sorellinas. The food was presented beautifully. We had a wonderful Boston waiter, so friendly, great Boston accent! I wish I could remember his name. Wine and cocktails were great and the ambience is lovely.
Would highly recommend.
But please note, very expensive. Bill for 3 around 300$ plus. And we are not big drinkers.
Highly recommend.
Great service, Great food, and great ambiance!
