The pizza is amazing...probably the most authentic Italian pizza in NYC.
The service was not at the same level. It does not differ much from the service in a classic pizzeria in Italy, but considering the level of attention in most of the restaurants in NY, it was a little underwhelming, especially because when we visited, it was a very quiet night.
If you're looking for a real Italian pizza place do yourself a favour and eat here, will be back for sure.
I am Neapolitan and found the food fantastic, amazing 'pizza fritta' (very light) and great 'frittura di calamari'. I will definitively go back!
By far the best pizza in town, even by Italian standards. The fresh tomato sauce and buffalo mozzarella they use are to die for.

Pizza was undercooked, raw in the middle, I even asked to make sure it’s on the crispy side, which they seem surprised by the request. Staff wasn’t very friendly, didn’t welcome you nor say goodnight.
Delicious pizza, sweet service..get the 'scarole!
Finally found a proper Italian pizzeria. Lovely thin crust with a crunchy crust using simple but high quality fresh ingredients. The super friendly manager / owner is from Naples and has been in the restaurant/hotel business his entire life - will be back to try the rest of the menu

Appetizers were good, pizza not nearly as good as when I tried it here the first time. I wonder what happened, as I was so thrilled to dine here again

This was our first visit to Sorbillo, but it will not be our last. We live fairly close and I can’t believe we’ve never eaten there before.
We began with two starters: the ricotta-stuffed zucchini flowers and the escarole. Both were generous servings and delicious. We especially enjoyed the escarole because we had never had it prepared with the olives, capers, and anchovies before.
We then had the Naduja pizza and the squid ink linguine with seafood. The pizza was perfect: a very soft crust and wonderfully spicy toppings. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the seafood was delicious.
We will definitely be back!
Our server, Anastasia, was so lovely! The food was excellent. Highly recommend the escarole and the pizza Liguria with pesto.

Authentic. Excellent. Delicious. We had a great time, the staff is very attentive and great suggestions on wine. We loved our pizzas. And we’re still talking about the dinner the day after.

La mia amica aveva chiesto una pizza con friarielli, olive, capperi e acciughe. Peccato mancassero gli ultimi tre ingredienti. Il proprietario ha voluto fare il furbo con noi pensando che volessimo fare i furbi con lui. Non voleva nemmeno fare lo sconto. Bastava un “ci dispiace”, invece il nulla e il fastidio. Questo l’atteggiamento di chi tanto i tavoli li riempie lo stesso. Ci siamo impuntate per principio e lui per questi ha perso la faccia. Sarebbe bastato davvero un sorriso e poche cose. Invece...

One of our favorite pizza places in the city. The dough is light and fluffy. Never greasy. Service is always super nice. Wish I they had a cider option but other than that it’s great.

I’m gluten free so I was a bit disappointed at the fact they don’t serve gluten free pizza only pasta. I had an amazing pizza in Naples Italy and assumed the NY location will have it as well. Other than that the food and service was great!

My boyfriend and I love margherita pizza and this place blew us away! They were very accommodating as well when we asked for more basil. The staff will also seat you bases on the occasion which I think was great!
In NYC to romp around and decided to give this GEM on Bowery st a go. Food was amazing. Tried the fried pizza special along with the the carbonara pasta dish. Prefect. Price was right too!!! Staff was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Definitely a go to place.

Food is excellent -- probably the one of the best pizza places I've had in the city. The service on the other hand is quite poor. We had to ask for water twice, service was remarkably slow and we had to flag down our waiter for anything (ordering, dessert, check, water, water). The restaurant was not even packed enough to warrant the lack of appropriate service (Monday night, half the restaurant full). The dessert was also excellent though.
Best pizza in NYC. My friend and I ordered 2 pies, the prosciutto pie and the margherita con bufala mozzarella pie. Both were unbelievable. Great service.
