The conveyor-belt sushi is worse then 7-Eleven sushi...
Dining experience started off poor. I made a reservation over two weeks in advance for the conveyer belt sushi. When I showed up I was told it would be an hour wait to be seated at the conveyer belt. If I wanted to be seated on time my only option was to sit at the sushi bar. I took this options as it was the only one offered. After we were seated people at the bar, other people were seated at the conveyer belt and private dining room within 10 minutes of us sitting down. On top of this, there were seats open for the entirety of our visit at the restaurant. There was no apology for not honoring my reservation. On top of all of this the server only touched us twice for one drink order and our food order. Overall not worth the money!!!
Great view. Very attentive service. We opted for the rotating sushi menu. They serve 2-4 pieces of sushi that you can pick off a conveyor system. They did not change the variety very much through our dinner and they did not serve anything of interest. There was a lot of the egg sushi, albacore, shrimp and thin salmon. It all had too much rice and not enough fish. The menu was $45 a person and they were obviously watching their costs. It could be a really nice and fun place. You are on the 69th floor of the Intercontinental and the space and service are great. However the food was lacking in variety and flavor.
Great food. Customer service was 100%.
The teapot is broken, I was ask for napkins, the serv just tell me they only provide serviette
Amazing place in LA, especially the all you can eat options
Great service and sushi ordered from menu not sushi “belt”. Server was exceptional.
The experience was great when you go ask for the all you can eat sushi it is a conveyor belt that brings sushi to your side of the table.
We booked the reservation at 8:30pm with AYCE, but the conveyor belt sushi has very little choices, mostly were desserts and appetizers. We waited at least half an hour to have one or two dishes of sushi… It was very frustrating with us and with other people who sitting around us. So we talked to the manager and she said basically there were only one chef to serve all of us and the conveyor belt stopped serving at 9pm. What? But the restaurant closes at 10pm and so why are you accepting reservation after 8pm? There were a couple came in at 9pm and had nothing to eat! So the chef heard about our complaints and gave us 2 sushi dishes to compensate. But still, very disappointed and that’s not the way to do business.
Although the view is amazing. And food is decent. They tried to rush us through dinner which didn’t feel attentive.
Great place for a romantic if you take a table by the window. Food is good, but no “wow” for me.
Great service and good food. The all you can eat was a great value plus you can't beat the views 👍👍👍
The food is good, but the view is better 👍🏻
View is insane !!
Not worth it. Too expensive for the quality and variety of food you get.
Simply I love the place, if you want to get in love someone is the indicated place ;)
Waiter, younger Caucasian male, was not as friendly and very forgetful on multiple occasions. When reminded of a request for the second time, he was transparently frustrated and had one liners like, “I was just going to do that” instead of apologizing and admitting that he often forgot our orders.
Food was OK at best, but the ambiance makes up for it. Great view, but so are all the other restaurants on this floor. Overall, the experience was not that great for fine dining. Would not recommend.
Unbeatable view up in the restaurant, sushi plates on the belt were decorated beautifully, not too many choices, very few sashimi nigiri offered. Service was good.
Good was a bit pricey for what u get but it was good overall.
I went there many times to have AYCE lunch on Monday. It really depends on where you are sit. If you sit closer to where the food comes, you get more choices. It also depends on what the chefs put out. Most of the time they put out a lot of rolls and sometimes they put out sushi. The view is magnificent. But I go there for food, lol
They went above and beyond to accommodate our service dog. Super friendly staff
Very nice hotel and amazing views! Very friendly staff. Food was average, I wish they had more sashimi choices.
Had a wonderful experience, we dined with 1 vegan and they went above and beyond to accommodate. The food was delicious and the view was incredible, highly recommend.
Very poor service for a New Year's Eve dinner. Not recommended for a major holiday.
The sushi was good and the view is amazing. Disappointed that we expected at our 9pm seating we would be able to be served for the entire 2 hours we were there. There was a 2 hour time limit.
For the price, you can't go wrong with Sora!
Even though the sushi wasn't the best, you can't complain with the incredible view, ambience, and nice staffs. Highly recommended.
Food was great
For a lot of empty tables we were seated in a poor location
Server never returned credit card as we were ushered out! Food great, location great, service in restaurant was sub-par
Considered it as paying for the view but the view wasn’t that great either on our window booth.
From the moment we walked in we felt special. The sweeping views were awe inspiring. The service (James) was beyond excellent. The sushi was creative and never ending. The value was beyond what could be expected given the ambience and quality. $30 each with no add ons. Fun extras include $1 for sliced cucumber. Reasonable prices on beer and saki. Everything was tasty and delightful. We ate until we were both uncomfortable. The conveyor belt includes myriad sushi offerings as well as edamame and multiple desserts. We will be back very soon.
As an aside, I’ve held business lunches here in the private booths. The views again are extraordinary and the bento boxes are $30 - $35 and very satisfying. They include miso soup and dessert. My guests have been thrilled with the venue choice.
The food was not that good. Sushi selection is very limited. There is not enough sushi plates on the convention belt. Rather go to ACYE sushi.
Improving quality, but hope they have more menu options.
Sorry I was not impressed with the sushi it was mediocre for the price all you can eat
Food is average.... my stars are for the view and service. They should close the door of the event room. They make lotsa noise. As in a lot. I wouldn't take someone here for a fine dinner. They will surely get disappointed with the food.
Our server James was the highlight of our night!! Will definitely be back!!
I had endless sushi but majority of the plates was Californian rolls not sushi.
Significantly improved food and service. Only issue continues to be the ridiculously expensive parking charge...
We tried the conveyor. The sushi seemed to have been prepared the previous day, too dry . Not much selection served; the shrimp tempura was cold .
The ambience is second to none. For the amount we paid vs the experience, I think it’s worth it though.
We will probably try the sit down table and order from the menu if we will ever go back.
If you not come for the view, this is not a good place. Bad service, slow.
Definitely a must go to show and visit once in awhile but value is debatable. You do pay to get good food but definitely would go to show off the views.
