We ate at the high top seats with the conveyor belt sushi. All you can eat for $45. The sushi was average nothing amazing. Not a ton of options. The view was the best part. Our waitress was very nice and they did give us a lovely dessert tray for our anniversary (on the house)
The view from the 69th Floor was as exciting as the sushi.
Perfect place to overlook the beautiful Los Angeles City, foods were great!
Waiter had an attitude like we were bothering him. Food was so, so way too expensive.
Sushi is too dry and fish is too thin
Also not much sushi
When we got to the restaurant, the receptionist said that they do not have my reservation.
The view is great and the sushi is great and definitely well worth the all you can eat price. The cost of the soda is outrageous at 6 dollars with no refills but hey you get hot tea with the AYCE so it's all good.
Had their $30 lunch. All you can eat on a conveyer belt system. Fun! Very bite size portions. Rating from average to good. Nothing exceptional, but it is all you can eat. Fair value. What you go for, is to experience the Views! Wow! They offered only one sweet, raspberry crumble. Not traditional, but good. Repetitious after a while, but couple next to me, made it a cool experience! I’d I’d say a place you’d take your out of town guest.
You can have better quality sushi around there with better price
I surprised with quality -Specially
It is dry sushi not much flesh
The service is ok not bad
The quality of sushi with price is not much at all
I have sushi every other day
Amazingly fresh food, the food was presented in the most beautiful way. Largest and best miso soup ever! Great cocktails, and the rolls were outstanding. The best view and a hot hand towel afterwards!
We had a great time at Sora, the food, service and ambiance was top quality. I can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend this great restaurant and experience.
Le we had a small toddler in our group and Le & the chefs made sure she was accommodated as well as the rest. My little one was so happy she hugged every staff member she could on our way out. The food was good but more options would set this place at the top of every other sushi place that offers all you can eat.
Great view but the food was underwhelming. I cannot recommend this restaurant nor will I go again.
The host and server where Great. Wonderful view and great service.
Beatiful setting. The high booths give you some privacy with amazing views. Food was outstanding.
Great view and friendly service, but the food was just a little above average, plus the kitchen did not seem coordinated with the room.
Our server was cheery and pleasant. However, the food was a dissapointment for what they were charging. The sushi belt didn't have much variety so we opted to order a la carte. Nothing special. You pay for the incredible view and ambiance; not the food.
I had put in a special request to prepare a separate birthday pastry via open table. Not sure if the maitre d' relayed the request to the server. Also, we ordered Plan A and Plan B. It states it includes matcha ice cream. We never got ice cream either.
The best view someone can ask for in Los Angeles. The restaurant was not crowded and we got sorted right away. We choose to order from menu vs sushi bar and the selection was great. My friend got the bento box which I think was the best value. I got a roll for $18 and it was average. Great service and attention from the waiters. If I go back I will get the bento box. We visited during lunch hours .
the restaurant needs to work in describing the all you can eat sushi by saying what is and what is not included in the all you can eat sushi.
Weird how they don't have large tables, so they'll seat your group at a corner.
Not the best sushi but amazing views
The special all u can eat sushi is not worth a dime since the selection is very limited to a point where you can’t get anything. You only paid for the view. It’s not all u can eat at all since there’s nothing u can get. Their upper management made such a dump marketing decision. I rather expect to pay more to get better sushi and view at the same time. I am walking into a high end hotel and expected high end food and service. If the management afraid to lose money, then don’t offer such deal. If u willing to offer such deals, I better provide the same high end services and food as the brand of ‘intercontinental’!!
We made a reservation for 4 people at 6:00 expecting to be sat for the endless sushi in the main dining room, but instead were seated in some random space away from the main dining room and told that there was no space available in the main room for endless sushi. Hostess was no help telling us we should’ve specifically asked for endless sushi when we made our reservation but nowhere did it ask that. WTF did I make a reservation for? We were finally seated at 6:50 and no apologies were made. Food was scarce on the belt- you’re paying to eat rice with a view.
* Not enough sushi selections but too many appetizers instead.
* Portion of rice was bigger than usual dinner sushis at other places.
* Fantastic scenic view.
* Dining chairs were not comfortable.
* Slow but courteous staffs.
Rushed service, rude server. Had better sushi for half the price nearby in Little Tokyo.
excellent service and food.
You are pretty much paying for the view, the food selection was kinda limited, there's no hot food, tea was $15 each person.
The all you can eat sushi belt was a major let down. Definitely not worth the price. The view is great, but there are plenty of other downtown restaurants with great views.
My wife and I sat at a table for two next to the window and ordered from the menu. The floorplan of that side of the restaurant is a narrow hallway with tables along the window side, so there are no other tables next to you, and it feels very private and quiet. Service was excellent, with recommendations on dishes. The bill was reasonable ($99) for three plates of sushi, a dessert, and two glasses of very good wine. The star of the show at Sora is the view of LA from the 69th floor windows. I would highly recommend.
it was absolutely amazing visit we
came we saw we ate more endless
sushi than any 10 people should all
while enjoining the most beautiful
aerial views of the Downtown Los Angeles Skyline possible during
sunset 69 floors up at the Wilshire
Grand Center (InterContinental Hotel)
Terrible quality food and selection, especially for the price. I do not recommend.
after visiting this restaurant, I started having stomach problems, but my wife doesn’t. I don’t know why :) But I like sushi!!!!!))))
Amazing place, I can't wait for come here again...
The all you can eat sushi experience had some variety but not what I was expecting. There seemed to be a rotation of about 10+ different items.
The All you can eat sushi was good. I just wish they would have ask us if we have any request on the kind of sushi that we want more that's included in the All u can eat. It seems like they hardly put the Tuna sashimi and the other kind of fish that they make. We went on lunch time so it wasn't that busy so I believe the chef should've communicated with us like other chefs that we encounter at other sushi places. The Avocados were fresh and the also the Salmon and Tuna. Desserts are just ok there was only 2 kinds. The view was amazing!
Arrived at 2pm with reservations on a Monday afternoon.
The intercontinental is absolutely stunning with magnificent views of Los Angeles. Took my breathe away!
Sora is a beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious. However, our server was a little off. She couldn’t remember as well and continued to make silly mistakes. Given the atmosphere I would think they’d have better service. In addition, she kept sharing that mostly everything on the menu was out. The food that was presented was again, absolutely delicious!
We had two types of sushi, a poke bowl and three types of special rolls. In addition, three types of cocktails to see how it complemented the food.
All in all it was just a good experience!
Very expensive but food and service was great so made it easier to pay the price.
Depending on where you sit you may be out of luck on getting the dishes you want or any variety.
Excellent sushi. The view is outstanding.
