This East Village establishment is the vision of close friends who grew up in different regions of Thailand, hoping to share their experiences and recipes with the rest of the world. Raised in distinctive regional cities, each individual brings their own unique relationship with Thai cuisine, with a specific focus on the generational family recipes that have shaped their childhood and time growing up in Thailand. With a specialty in family noodle recipes from throughout Thailand, Soothr offers a culinary experience that is geared towards the comfort and warmth of dining at home. This place is hot and humid, AC doesn’t work properly. They said seating time was 1.5hour, they start give you 15 min warning at the 1 hour mark. Food is nice, but overall experience was poor.

Great food! Dinner felt very rushed, with courses coming out very quickly. Definitely felt like they wanted to turn the table over. Great if you have somewhere to be!

Loved the vibes and the food was most definitely one the most authentic Thai food I have had in New York. I have travelled extensively in Thailand over two trips and had the privilege of tasting all sorts of amazing food. This amazing restaurant reminded me of the scrumptious food I had back in Thailand. Each dish was bursting with flavours, the fresh herbs, the balance of spicy, sweet and tartness was perfect! The service was quick and efficient. The drinks were popping and had very unique flavours. The cost for the meal was reasonable and it was a total value for money especially with the amazing quality of food they serve. I would highly recommend this and I myself would love to visit it more to try the other dishes too!

I used to love Soothr and I was so excited to bring my friends from Oregon here. The food was tasteless, there was hair in one dish and they still charged us for it, the service was horrible and one dish didn’t come out until the rest of us finished eating. I was so disappointed and will not be coming again.

Outstanding all around. Food was incredibly tasty, ingredients of high quality and optimal portion size. Service is efficient and responsive. We ordered the duck noodles, shrimp egg curry and beef pad si-iw. Highly recommend any of these - you won’t go wrong.
