Nick has created an eclectic, hyper-seasonal menu that highlights global flavors and peak-season ingredients. The evolving menu will feature shareable items such as Bacon-Kimchi Deviled Eggs with Green Onion and Black Sesame Seed and Poached Chicken and Crispy Skin with Coconut Rice and Fermented Soybean Salsa. Larger plates include Five Spice Braised Lamb Shank with Goat Cheese Polenta, Dino Kale, Fried Bread-Shiso Gremolata; and Pan Roasted Black Cod with Celery Root, Delicata Squash, Dino Kale, and Kimchi Romesco. Brunch service will follow opening, featuring cocktails with housemade kombucha, in addition to fresh, seasonal brunch fare.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since they opened. So sorry I haven’t been sooner! It was fantastic. Portions are on the smaller side on the shared plates, but the cost is reflected in quality ingredients.

Really enjoyed our brunch at Son's Addition before heading to see Phantom of the Opera at the Orpheum last weekend. The small bites were really good as was my burger and my GF's Benedict...perfectly poached eggs and the burger had an amazing fried onion and bacon marmalade that I could just use to top everything I love to eat.

this was my second time here and we enjoyed it. The food was very good, the service was very attentive.
We started with the poached chicken and panetella. Both were very good. The poached chicken was pretty spicy, but tasty. We then had the pork and burger. My partner said the burger was one of the best he's had. The pork was very tasty, a very big serving. I had enough to bring home. The service was very attentive and friendly. All in all a very good experience.

Son's Addition has an menu that supersedes expectations by delivering surprising and delicious food. I was looking forward to coming back before I even left the place. I can't wait to try everything they make.

Waitstaff was friendly.
Restaurant was very loud, so it might be better for groups versus 1 on 1.
Food was tasty but way too salty and was served to us cold.

It was a good meal, and location is nice, it was even nice enough to sit outside. the only bit about the food was that the tomato was very cold and offset the other parts of the sandwich. Room temperature would have been perfect

I know that there are a lot of great restaurants in San Francisco but we keep finding ourselves back here. The food is fabulous, great flavors and always tastes so fresh and clean. The food is creative and beautifully prepared. All the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable, it makes you feel totally at home. Whenever we go we get multiple things and share them, so far I haven't found anything I didn't like. The dinner menu is really creative and the eggs Benedict for breakfast were great.

I had a nice date night dinner with my wife last night at Son's Addition, and we both loved it. The tapas-style fusion menu was exactly what we were craving -- small bites of adventurous tastes to explore. We opted for an all small-plate dinner instead of going for one of the mains. The chicken liver mousse toasts with onion marmalade served as an excellent start. The marmalade complemented the mousse well. Our two favorites were the hamachi collar and a chicken dish that used Hainan chicken as the base with a vinegary salsa that filled the palate with layered tastes. We topped off the meal with cherry and peach pie tarts. Service throughout the meal was excellent, but the food was the star. Fresh ingredients with complementary cross-cultural tastes - we loved it!

I have mixed feelings here. It was our first time. Although we had a reservation, the restaurant was really badly backed up, so we had to leave because we were on a tight schedule. The staff did a good job communicating their challenges so I give them high marks for that. The menu looked good with some interesting and reasonably priced choices, so we were disappointed in settling for something less given we had to switch to plan B. It was pretty loud inside with a a full house, even with doors open, although there were a couple of large parties. Parking can be tight in the Mission, so allow extra time for that. Unfortunately, open table's survey questions don't allow for appropriate answers to some of the questions (how can I rate the food? or recommend this restaurant).

Easily the poorest service I've had in years. Our table was right by the kitchen so we had a front row seat to watching the orders pile up. For some reason the staff felt you can only serve a table when all the orders are ready, but with only two people cooking that was impossible. We watched the kitchen get backlogged due to a large table, and then we watched for 5-10 min our food sit on the counter and cool. By the time I got my hash it was so cold it had to be sent back. A poached egg and cooked meat should never be close to room temperature. What food our table got warm was unimpressive. Given the poor service and mediocre food, I would not come back even for a free meal.

Cute little place, however when we arrived for brunch the kitchen was backed up so they were very slow in getting us our food. Once it arrived it was pretty good though.

Delicious food made with high quality ingredients. Loved the coffee which is important in a brunch spot. Reasonably priced. Very attentive, friendly staff. Will be back to check out their dinner!

We've been here four or five times and it's always been excellent. The food is amazing: creative, but not weirdly creative, well-thought out, beautifully prepared. You get a lot of it and it's rich, so be hungry. The service is excellent, attentive but not smarmy. This has become a go-to place for dinner with friends.

Everything we ordered was great. Yellowtail collar, Bone marrow and Poached chicken with crispy skin were our faves. Will be back to check out the rest of the menu!

Delicious food in sleek, simple setting.
We had bone marrow appetizer, heirloom tomato panzella salad, cheeseburger, hanger steak, and halibut—-all were fabulous.
Too full to order the simple cookies for dessert but think we missed out there!

Inventive food! Fun to sample all the dishes so I’d go with 4 people. Pretty casual spot but not in terms of what comes out of the kitchen.

Great wine list too. Some really nice bottles at very reasonable rates.

Surprised at how good the food was - I am a 'foodie' aka very specific towards what I consider 'good' food and this place was great! Highlights include Heirloom Panzanella Salad, Bone Marrow and Roasted Chicken. Will def go back, when/if menu is updated!

Panzanella salad was great. Halibut was a generous proportion but way over cooked. Same for the pork chop. The mushroom starter was flavorless.

Phenomenal meal, quality locally sourced fresh ingredients and beers. Beautiful restaurant, spacious yet inviting. Service was excellent, prompt and always one step ahead. Would recommend to anyone the menu has something for everyone.

Finally got the opportunity to visit a restaurant that I walk by almost daily. What a wonderful place. Outstanding in all respects. Started with an order of charred peppers. So yummy. I had the halibut that I could not stop eating while my friend had a huge pork chop that he could barely finished. Tried on of the small pies which was fantastic. Will definitely visit here as often as I can. Outstanding service and choice fo wines and beer are very reasonable. You will not be disappointed.
