We tried half the items on the menu and everything was excellent. One of the best restaurants in San Francisco especially when you consider that it's reasonably priced for what you get. The staff was also very friendly and provided great service. Highly recommend!
We had bone marrow, it was delicious.
Friendly attentive service, generous portions. Come hungry,
My partner and I have been eating here since it opened. The food is excellent and the concept is will executed. A very welcome addition to the choices in this part of town!!
We were there for Saturday brunch. The dinner menu looked intriguing.
l really loved the beef tartare, the fish collar, and the deviled eggs. The menu is perfect for grazing - trying lots of different things. The place is casual but nice. Service is terrific.
Wonderful service, great ambiance, and delicious eggs benedict!
Surprisingly for me, I found the flavors at Son's Addition to be too intense. The salads and vegetables had too much dressing on them. The broth for the seafood stew was too salty. On a positive note, our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and quick. My friend and I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.
Brought two friends, one visiting from New York. They were blown away by the creativity of dishes like Uni Tostada and the sheer deliciousness of the Hamachi Collar. We had a trio of unfiltered white wine pairings the wait staff picked out for us. Followed by fresh chocolate chip cookies with a bit of sea salt, yum. Exceptional, precise, and delicious food!
Good experience overall a little loud, nice atmosphere and good food.
Went her on a recommendation for a work team dinner. Great, friendly and attentive service. We ended up sharing appetizers and mains. There were just too many good choices that this was the best way to try almost everything. Highly recommend.
The service was perfect. Friendly but not over bearing.
Food was fantastic. Every was fresh with unique combinations of flavors. The fish stew was outstanding as was the grilled octopus.
Can’t wait to go back.
Chef Nick really knows what he is doing and puts together flavors and textures in a most beautiful way.
The service is warm, inviting and efficient. This is my favorite kind of restaurant, where the owners toil away putting in real investment in making a great experience for you - because it's theirs.
Met a friend there early and for a while it was easy to talk. My burger was delicious. Wine a little pricey for the amount served. But a pleasant place on 24th which can be a bit grungy
Hands-down one of the best and most creative restaurants in San Francisco
Birthday dinner for my husband. The menu was creative and well executed. The service was very good and the flow of courses was perfect.
I've walked past this place a bunch of times and finally made a reservation. The service was excellent, and the food was creative. A great spot in the Mission, and easy walking distance from Brava Theatre for a before or after theatre bite.
Cute and casual bistro in the Mission, with a simple but creative menu. The fried chicken sandwich was outstanding. The space is bright and sunny. Would recommend for brunch if you’re in the neighborhood.
Funky modern twist. What chefs themselves would eat! So typical of Mission District.
Overall, we enjoyed it but the Hen of the Woods mushrooms and Wagyu Bone Marrow dishes were lacking proper seasoning.
I'd try it again (if I lived in SF) with a change of the menu.
I love this restaurant! The food is out of this world and unique without being precious. So delicious. And the service is impeccable! You won’t be disappointed!!
Perfect spot for our 15th yr anniversary, many thanks to co-owner Ana, she took great care of us & we can’t wait to go back!
Beautiful lighting, great space, warm service, fantastic food, all set in the heart of 24th street. I recommend getting the malted waffles with the chicken burger or the biscuits and gravy. Really any other item will do as long as your getting those waffles. Definitely coming again.
Great food and good service. Ambiance was strange with very dim lights but not too bad. The Octopus, Pork chop and tostadas were all delicious
Will visit again!
We had a wonderful dinner recently at Son's Addition. We ordered a series of small plates and we loved every single one! There was seriously not a loser amongst them. I wish it were in my neighborhood - I'd eat there every week.
I've been several times. Food, service and casual vibe are all very diner friendly. Every time I go with friends whose first time dining here, they all say they want to come back again.
Solidly good food. Huge portions. Service was attentive and knowledge.
I’ve been wanting to try this place since they opened. So sorry I haven’t been sooner! It was fantastic. Portions are on the smaller side on the shared plates, but the cost is reflected in quality ingredients.
Really enjoyed our brunch at Son's Addition before heading to see Phantom of the Opera at the Orpheum last weekend. The small bites were really good as was my burger and my GF's Benedict...perfectly poached eggs and the burger had an amazing fried onion and bacon marmalade that I could just use to top everything I love to eat.
this was my second time here and we enjoyed it. The food was very good, the service was very attentive.
We started with the poached chicken and panetella. Both were very good. The poached chicken was pretty spicy, but tasty. We then had the pork and burger. My partner said the burger was one of the best he's had. The pork was very tasty, a very big serving. I had enough to bring home. The service was very attentive and friendly. All in all a very good experience.
Son's Addition has an menu that supersedes expectations by delivering surprising and delicious food. I was looking forward to coming back before I even left the place. I can't wait to try everything they make.
Waitstaff was friendly.
Restaurant was very loud, so it might be better for groups versus 1 on 1.
Food was tasty but way too salty and was served to us cold.
Great service. The burger was delish & the atmosphere super cute!
The best pork chop in town with very attentive service!
It was a good meal, and location is nice, it was even nice enough to sit outside. the only bit about the food was that the tomato was very cold and offset the other parts of the sandwich. Room temperature would have been perfect
Perfect dining experience for our party of discerning multi-gen diners. We can’t thank Nick and Anna enough and look forward to returning soon!
Fantastic food and service!
Great addition to the Mission. Food was sophisticated and service excellent.
Very accommodating. Good food. Nice wines. Will go back
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend for a nice night out
Service for brunch was great, especially for a group of 6 adults and 3 kids (age range from 6mos to 3yrs). Food was excellent and so accommodating to kids diets.
