The food was delicious! Perfectly cooked octopus, poached chicken, best bone marrow I’ve tasted (most places over-salt it; at Son’s Addition it was perfectly seasoned), great chicken liver mousse. Apparently they make their own authentic kimchi and pickles - absolute delight. The bartender / waitress, Anne makes great wine-based cocktails and was flexible to accommodate “less sweet” (vermouth + champagne + tiny bit of ginger syrup is now my favorite combo!)
One of my favorite restaurants in SF. Healthy and delicious. The service was outstanding!
Food and drinks were all good but not amazing. The burger was a little too salty and the fries did not taste fresh. We ordered some small plates as well - I would recommend the beet panzanella salad - they are a good choice if you don't want to eat just one flavour. They have wine and beer, fairly limited menu, but you can definitely find something you'll like. Service was okay and overall I wasn't disappointed but I think there are better places to eat in the Mission.
Delicious brunch and outstanding service. We had been there for dinner before and also loved it, but the brunch was a real treat.
Everything was delicious! Definitely coming back!!!
We showed late for our reservsation late and had limited time to eat as we were going to a show. They were very accomodating and pleasant with an expedited service. They did everything to make sure we still hada a great time. The food was excellent. Full of unusual and different flavors very tastefully done. The atmosphere was energetic and fun but not too loud. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Second time there and the food is always great.
This place is my new favorite. Great food and friendly staff with a casual atmosphere but these tastes are more what you would expect in fine dining. The soups are divine.
Always consistently good. Always feel welcome. One of my favorite 10 restaurants in SF
The hash was pretty good. The seasonal scramble was very tasty. Great for after peak hours at the weekend. On sunday go after 1pm, avoid crowds
From beginning to end it was FAN-TAS-TIC!! Great EVERYTHING!!!
We first ordered green tea and a latte. The latte was cold and sent it back. We then ordered the BBLT (eggs benedict with bacon) and the burger. The BBLT came out cold. The bacon was dry and overcooked. Wife had the burger and liked it.
Wonderful, delicious and creative food . What a gem!
Food is always amazing and consistent!
Service is exceptional as well!
It was fantastic. Went two Sunday’s in a row and am going to take three more people next Sunday!!
Son’s Addition is always good. We have dined there probably 10+ times and have never had a bad meal! The menu changed recently and there were a lot of delicious adds to the menu!
Brilliant creation and genuine effort
It was fantastic!!!
We bring a lot of our out of town here to enjoy one of the best burgers in San Francisco. Everything else on their menu is also delicious. Such a friendly place, too.
Lots of fresh healthy ingredients but also some decadent dishes, as well. Spicy corned beef hash was amazing. The seasonal omlet - herbs, zucchini, corn, queso fresca - was super delishous. Service started off great but ended up waiting for the check for like 20 minutes because they got slammed. Will definitely return.
Menu had a great variety, service was friendly, suggestive and super helpful in making food selections and wine pairings for a first time guest. Will definitely be back!
High prices for a mediocre food. Server was efficient but impatient. The menu was limited and not very exciting. We dinned there when they first opened and had a good experience, but the place had changed and indeed was half empty this time. Will not recommend.
The burgers are fantastic, juicy, perfect medium rare with an onion jam that is delicious. The octopus was so tender I wanted tips for making it at home. Brussel sprouts were lemony and solid, not amazing though. My favorite wine corkage policy - buy a bottle off menu and they waive one corkage. Just such a sensible and fair way to do that. Their wine list is reasonable from a pricing perspective but just OK from a quality point of view, I think there is room to improve there. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.
The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. The staff were very accommodating and was able to whip up a low sodium entree and appetizer option. Definitely recommend for any occasion.
Very good, prompt service and delicious food. The Brussels sprouts were by far the favorite dish for every person at the table. They even won over a sed-professes Brussels Hater. I would go back just to eat an entire plate of those sprouts by myself.
The bone marrow plate was out of this world— served with crostini and super soft roasted garlic that melted onto the bread.
I will definitely return and bring out of town friends.
Excellent, fresh creative food. Menu changes seasonally. Favorite neighborhood spot
Pork was salty
Halibut was bland
Collar and tostadas were great
Lovely place with delicious food
The waitress was not friendly from the very beginning and didn’t seem very apologetic when she spilled a drink on us.
WOW WOW WOW! What a treat!
Birthday brunch with family
Great food that just kept delivering on excellent. Appreciated the staff accommodating one more to our party last minute. Great drinks, awesome service, and all the food the 6 of us had was terrific. Can't wait to return!
Delicious food and amazing staff! Always a treat to come here for dinner.
Great food and service in a beautiful and comfortable space. Will be back soon! The kimch deviled eggs were fab!
Very pleasantly surprised by my first visit to this 24th Street restaurant. Eclectic wine list, with many wineries and varietals that I was not familiar with. The waiter's bottle recommendation was spot on for the array of dishes that we ordered.
Started with a deviled egg; the kimchi added a spicy yet not hot tone.
I'm a bone marrow fan, and loved this rendition, though there wasn't as much marrow in each bone (3) as I sometimes receive elsewhere; it's a rich dish, so that isn't a negative. The roasted cloves of garlic, ample serving of sliced toast, and diced celery topping were pleasing accompaniments.
My guest and I both loved the arugula and shaved squash salad, which was quite large even for two. We were going to order two different salads and asked the waiter if he thought it would be too much with everything else that we were ordering; appreciated his candid opinion, and lack of upcharging, when he said that it probably would be.
We shared the pork tenderloin entree, which had a yummy smokey quality and was served with al dente cranberry beans and grilled peaches.
A comp chocolate chip cookie with birthday candle wrapped it up.
Food was great, service was attentive and friendly, and the pricing was reasonable. Definitely going back to try more items. I've heard that the burger is divine!
Great food.
So much fun and food and service was amazing!
We are frequent diners at Son’s Addition. The staff is friendly and attentive; the food creative! When we’re joined by friends, they love it too. It’s our favorite restaurant.
Absolutely check out Son's Addition for brunch or dinner! I've been for both meals and they were both fantastic. Amazing staff and atmosphere.
The food was innovative, fresh and well prepared. Very nice experience. I will be back.
