Excellent service. Kevin our service was extremely helpful. Friendly service without jeopardizing quality. Very attentive at all times. Friendly and humorous in dealing with is. . Made our dining evening a gorgeous experience.
Positive experience. Service (Kevin was our waiter) was very good. Nice ambience. We had a quiet table. Food was good, nice presentation of our food. Proper portion size. Would definitely go back.
The appetizers were so good we only had them, the butternut squash tacos, guacamole and the empanadas sooo good. The cocktails were fabulous I had a spicy ginger margarita. I might be back just to try another cocktail there was a martini with guava... the service was exemplary.
A lovely dinner. We went on a rainy week day and the restaurant was quiet. The food was tasty, the service attentive and the setting attractive and calm.
Had a women's get-together here and it was excellent. There was something on the menu for everyone. Dishes have just enough fusion novelty to work. Proper margaritas--no crappy college frozen margaritas here. And they make cipirinhas! Tableside guacamole is perfection. Even the tortilla chips exceeded expectations.
Great food, staff was excellent and the owner was super nice and approachable. Definitely coming back and make this our go to tapas place in Westchester!
Sonora continues to have excellent service and food, on a regular basis. We enjoy the drinks, the guacamole, and many of the main dishes. I recommend this restaurant highly.
We love the food, reminiscent of Barca and we come at least once a month. 2 kids outside deserve a shout out because they are a great welcome every time we return.
One of our favorite places to eat. We are regulars! Just like home Cozy and friendly staff! Owner always comes out to chat. tapas and sangria our fav food to get. Summer outdoor dining charming
Sonora is always a lovely experience. I've been there several times - with my husband and with a friend. The food is delicious with some unusual flavor combinations. The service is always attentive and friendly. I also enjoy that Sonora looks very humble (read: not hip or super trendy) on the outside, so those who are most interested in a trendy place and a noisy bar scene (as opposed to a chill ambiance) won't frequent it. Proud to live in Port Chester and call Sonora a hometown favorite!
Sonora was wonderful, as always! Service and food presentation was impeccable. The food was a lingering delight. We love the white sangria!
Too noisy poor service
Came here with my mom and we had an amazing time!! My mom is vegan and it was great for her to have such great options. She had the vegan tacos and the vegan paella. I tried both and they were delicious. I had the goat cheese croquettes and the Palomino paella and it was SO GOOD. We also split a pitcher of sangria which was perfect (not too sweet). Thank you for a great time!
Great food!
Friday night Jazz was great!
We have been dining at Sonora for 14 years and the food and service are consistently excellent. There are always new changes to the menu and each one is delicious. Dining at Sonora is always a very enjoyable experience and we look forward to the warmer weather to dine outside.
Had a fantastic meal here this past Easter Sunday. Food was creative and delicious. Service was great. Still one of my favorite restaurants.
My husband and I have been dining at Sonora for years have never been disappointed. Tonight’s dinner was stellar as we have come to expect. Specials are innovative and ingredients are impeccably fresh. Service is always welcoming, attentive and friendly.
Food was exceptional - very flavorful and unique! The mango sangria was amazing!
Came here for dinner on a Tuesday and it was fantastic. Service was great. We shared a ton of tapas including Veggie tacos (can be made vegan which was great for my friend!), calamari salad, croquette (so fresh and creative), the lobster quesadilla (so worth the price). We also had a few mojitos and I would have to say they were the best ones I have had. Everything was outstanding. I can tell why everyone raves about it. We will be back!
We were completely underwhelmed by the food. The octopus was tough, the fois gras dumplings were greasy and tasteless, the croquettes were average and the steak tacos were awful; tough and completely uninteresting. We couldn’t figure out why the restaurant was so crowded. We got a terrible table facing the front door. We won’t go back.
Food was good. Some of the entrees seem to have been eliminated. Had to wait for the reserved table for 10-15 minutes with just the warning it would be just a few minutes. Would have preferred that we were told the table was occupied and they were waiting for the guests to leave.
The service was insanely slow! they came and told me the appetizer wasn't available after like 20 minutes of placing the order and then took another 20 minutes to just get the appetizer out! The the mains took forever again, and then the dessert.
Terrible service. Slow. Hostess and manager were completely incompetent.
Food was horrendous.
The service was not good. I felt bad for the waiter because he was friendly and trying very hard. But overall we waited a long time for everything. The food was pretty good.
This was my first visit to Sonora and I will definitely be back. The food was delicious and quite flavorful and the staff and service were wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Fabulous food! Great local neighborhood restaurant!
I came across this establishment on HVRW. I was welcomed and seated immediately. The decor and staff quite amazing. I ordered guacamole, Mango Sangria, and the skirt steak with Latin fried rice. Extremely tasteful very happy with my choices. The staff was very attentive can't wait till I revisit the restaurant.
Super friendly staff and server. Felt very welcomed. Server explained all menu items clearly and served them like it was his own home!
Overall great experience. Food was spot on! Service was good but could have been a little more attentive and/or efficient.
Had brunch here and it was excellent. There were a good array of choices and very reasonable.
We have been many times before and have always liked the menu but the last few dinners were disappointing. My food came out cold, especially the Gambas Al Ajillo, which if you order them anywhere in Spain (or the US for that matter) always come out hot and sizzling. Service was slow and very inattentive. Waiter bumped into me pretty hard while serving another table, which is no big deal, but a quick apology would have been nice. Long wait to receive a menu, we finally flagged the hostess down to get one. Our drinks were forgotten, coffee was forgotten and came out long after the dessert was finished. Overall ok, if you are in the mood for that kind of food but I would not go there for a special occasion or if you like good (or even decent) service. There is however a very good waiter there (a bit older with a mustache). If you sit in his section, you will be well taken care of.
Tried 10 tapas, 2 were decent. The rest were just ok. Special yellowfin tuna ceviche, no so special. Sat upstairs - zero ambiance but quieter than downstairs. Staff was nice and bought desert for our anniversary.
Great Spanish Food. Love the new tapas selection added to the menu. Good creative drinks.
Our visit was a friday night, we enjoyed the Live Jazz for sure! However, food was really expensive for what it was and tasted like. Not worthy. Service was really delayed and sometimes non- responsive. Very crowed and jammed sitting. Everyone was on top of each other and hard for waiters to reach our spot! Very inconvenient specially if your paying as we did almost $150 for two. It used to be a wonderful example of great cuisine, paella was not good! It has a nice environment but not worth the money
Had brunch here last Sunday with my friends and had such a lovely time. They have live jazz music which really added to the atmosphere. We split the mimi's french toast as a table and it was so freaking good. I had the vegan burger which was so delicious. My boyfriend has the cuban sandwich and he LOVED it. Thank you for everything. We will be back.
Absolutely wonderful service and great food as always.
We went here to celebrate my newphew's birthday and we absoultey loved it. The staff was friendly without hovering and the food and drinks were creative and delicious. We will defintely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Went here on a date and we had a wonderful time. I had a mango mojito which was great, I love that they put a piece of sugar cane as a garnish it's so authentic and rare to see. We then followed that up with some table side guacamole and magi tacos, delicious! For entree I had the lomo saltado and it was absolutely Incredible! Our server Antonio was extremely friendly and attentive. This restaurant is the best!
Food here is always creatively multinational and well-prepared. Always a pleasure to dine at Sonora.
