This restaurant has a great atmosphere! Food was amazing and very reasonably priced and their specialty cocktails were extremely refreshing!
Antonio (our server) was the nicest, most respectful, and attentitive waiter. He truly took care of us and wanted us to leave satisfied. Definitely coming back for the food and most importantly for servers like him.
The DJ forgot his cable so there was no DJ on Memorial Day. We chose that spot for that reason
Sunday brunch is a great way to jumpstart any Sunday FUNDAY! The bottomless mimosas are the cherry on this awesome “Sunday”! Tim, the manager, is so personable and always checking on tables and helping his staff! The DJ had me dancing in my seat the entire time! We will definitely be back!!
Our cocktails (Old Fashioneds) were very good, but our server was clearly not enjoying her job and our food was mediocre. The squid ink pasta with shrimp and calamari was the best thing we ordered, though it had exactly two shrimp in it. The chicken was served over a weird mix of rice and chickpeas that just didn't work and we didn't eat much of it. We ordered the olives and bread for an appetizer - the bread was really nice, and some of the olives were good, but some were mushy and inedible. It was just a miss overall - and an expensive one at that.
I chose this location specifically for the ocean view but upon arrival we were told that specific area was for larger parties only so I wish they would get rid of that rule. However, the Staff was great , food was delicious, and the drinks were VERY good. It is a great spot for Brunch & I Will definitely go back when I don’t mind the 40 minute drive.
Nice location in Santa Monica, but that's about it. Food went from good to average as we progressed through the meal. We ordered appetizers (best part) and then ordered a pizza. The wait for the pizza was ridiculously long, over 35 minutes and then it was soggy. We sent it back. During the wait the server disappeared , never once apologizing for the wait, the restaurant was not overly busy. One person in our party ordered an entree, that too took over a half an hour. It seems they know you are there for the location and they really don't give a crap about anything else. The manager did come by to apologize for the wait, but it was a completely phony apology. I would not go back here.
We have been to Sonoma Wine Garden several times but usually order appetizers and salads, etc. This time we each had main courses. We ordered butternut squash ravioli, squid ink pasta, grilled branzino and split the Beets and grilled halloume - all were delicious and we vowed to order mains in the future. We will return soon. On top of that, our waitress was delightful and efficient.
Took forever to even get water. We were there close to 20 mins before anyone attended to us
We went here for drinks and appetizers. It did not disappoint. We ended up having the rose white sangria, a must try!
We had the most amazing server, I think his name was Sean. Great service and good!
Well our waiter was definitely drunk so that was strange. Loved the pizza and wine but the waiter was forgetful and that was not great service.
My mom, sister and I were looking forward to a nice Easter brunch. The kitchen ran out of whole eggs and salmon. After changing our order a few times due to these updates, two orders of chicken were undercooked in the chicken and waffles order. The only other options weren’t very appealing- I ended up ordering French toast, but there was chocolate drizzled on them which was too sweet for my liking, and tasted more like dessert. Overall, the limited menu options and food we did actually get was disappointing.
It was also a bit chilly and we requested that the heater above us be turned on. We asked two different waiters a total three times... not sure if it ever got turned on.
The manager gave us a discount, but we left pretty hungry, unfortunately.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. My husband’s old fashioneds all had half the ice already melted and it took 20 minutes if not more for every dish. Our server was HORRIBLE. Not coming back.
Always a pretty solid brunch. The food is good, the patio is lovely. The mimosas are a little oj-heavy for my taste and they are VERY strict about the 2-hour time limit for the reservation. Our table waited to start mimosas until the last of our party could arrive but unfortunately we still had to leave the table two hours from when we were seated, not from when we were served. They’re very busy on weekends so we understood, it was just a bummer, especially since there were free tables around us when we were told we had to go. I would still recommend if you’re looking for somewhere in Santa Monica. I’ll definitely go back sooner or later.
Went for the bottomless mimosa brunch with a friend, was rather disappointed to learn that they've changed their "choose your own juice" for the mimosas, but the food was still delicious and we had a lovely time.
Came for a birthday brunch! Great food, great staff & great views. The bottomless mimosas didn’t hurt either 😎😎
Food, service & ambience were FANTASTIC! Loved the charcuterie tray, Burger & DELICIOUS truffle fries!!
The service was slow. The heater wasn’t working properly either so it was cold.
Restaurant is on the upper deck of a mall in Santa Monica. Very nice ambience, good food.
The food was below average and a server spilled ketchup on me, then did not take responsibility for it.
I have eaten at your restaurant several times and always am happy with the service and the great food and drinks. This time around my friends and I were not happy with the service. It felt like our waiter was ignoring us and rarely checked up on us. He didn’t offer anything else before we were done with happy hour which I thought was unfair as we didn’t take advantage of the happy hour since he never came back to our table. I will come back, however I think the service could have been better that day
Everything was great except the hostess was pretty rude about us having a reservation and was very difficult
The food, the wine, the ambiance and our server Miguel were wonderful, but the hostesses were extremely unfriendly. I had made a reservation for our first time there and was really looking forward to it. Having rude employees as your first impression when you walk in is a little unnerving. They need new jobs or better training.
Sooooo excited to come here! The ambiance is very nice and I had high expectations...the food was meh...the cheese fondue app was amazing...but my entree was not good...hate to say it...I had the halibut...which was poached in parchment paper...had very little to no taste...and the “veggies” on the side were onions....which yes by definition is a veggie...but come on...so I feel like the value was low....
We just love this place !
We always go to have a good glass of wine next to the outside fire place, it's quiet during the afternoon and looks more like a lonnge.
You can share plates, very tasty cheese and wines...
This place is like 3 in 1 ;-)
You can be at the bar for a more friendly purpose.
Or be outside at the restaurant with an amazing vue on the sea !
The service is also always good...
It was a dark and windy night. The inside dining room was closed (not a private party, just closed).
Outside seating was in a chilly wind tunnel.
I left without ordering. It would not have been pleasant.
I've been coming here for years and this last time I'll never go back. The food quality has diminished, the prices have gone up and it's just not as good as it used to be. Only go if you want to drink bottomless mimosas. The brunch menu is very limited and beyond expensive for what you get (or lack thereof). If you like to drink the mimosas are worth it, but you'll be hungry after.
Decent food and wine selection, but way overpriced.
We were there to celebrate our Twin daughters 21st birthday.
Our waitress was good. It did take some time to get our glasses of wine we ordered and one of the glasses was the wrong wine but she corrected it quickly. She also seemed to have the whole area herself which seemed large for one person and her food runner had no idea what dish was going to what table. Overall I think she was great for what she was given.
The thing that disappointed both my bf and myself was the time it took to get our food. We ordered fairly quickly and it took almost 30 minutes to get our cheese plate out. Our main dishes came out maybe 10 mins later which definitely was not enough time for us to finish it. Our waitress did offer to hold it in the back but we didn’t want it sitting under a heat lamp so we decided to keep our entrees and eat everything at the same time. Against my better judgement we ordered dessert thinking that it would be quick (I work in pastry and have years of experience working the dinner service). This again took at least 20 minutes. We could understand if they were very busy or short staff but it didn’t seem that way.
If it wasn’t for the timing we would have loved dinning here. We have came to dine here many times before moving to Florida 3 years ago and were excited to dine here now that we are back. The food tasted delicious so we were happy with how everything tasted and looked. The timing issue was just too much that it overshadowed everything. Our dinner shouldn’t have been over 2 hours because we were waiting on food.
I recently attended Sonoma Wine Garden for a birthday brunch. I called 2+ hours before my reservation to increase the headcount from 8 to 10 to which they responded they don’t allow same day changes. It was a bit of an inconvenience, especially considering this was a preplanned special celebration.
Once we showed up, our server was wonderful & the food was delicious! A bit pricey though.
Outstanding server. Cute location.
Really nice atmosphere, great wine list and friendly service. Not good bang for the buck when it comes to the food.
Great Space in the middle of caótico Santa Monica, very quiet and well organized, great wine and cocktails
The ambiance is great but the food was terrible. We were very disappointed and surprised it was as bad as it was. Our service was also terrible!! It's definitely a great spot to drink, but I would never go back to eat.
We enjoyed our dinner on the rooftop city terrace at Sonoma Wine Garden. Our server, Jen J was very warm and welcoming and introduced us the the sommelier, Sean, who provided some thoughtful suggestions and wine pairings, as well as local wineries to visit. The halibut en papillote was delicately fragrant and the truffle pizza with mascarpone and kale was decadent. We finished the night with a butterscotch pudding with a lovely Louis Latour French white, a wonderful pairing to end our evening.
This is a beautiful restaurant with a great open air space. The staff is super friendly and the food is great. Brunch menu is small but delicious.
We go every year on Black Friday. Last year wasn’t so great, but we opted not to break the tradition. Shawn (not sure how to spell) was a fantastic server—very friendly and had good recommendations. We had the salmon and the branzino. Both were really good. Will definitely return.
