Sonoma Kitchen has set out to be the neighborhood restaurant and bar for residents and visitors alike in Orlando, Florida. It certainly appears to have succeeded given the range of traditional and unique menu items available. The salads alone provide a filling meal. Among these is the Asian steak salad. This is a Sonoma Kitchen specialty and includes sesame wasabi dressing, mixed greens, Mandarin oranges and wonton strips.
If you are looking for a great place to gather with friends for a few drinks, do note that Sonoma Kitchen has a full bar menu of drinks and appetizers. The wings are tasty and come in multiple varieties. The beers are always cold and there are plenty on tap, along with a full line of spirits, wines and cocktails.
The time I booked a reservation for the restaurant was not open. Opentable shouldn't allow you to book a reservation for a day the restaurant is closed. I drove all the way there to discover this.
We were surprised when we sat down and were handed a menu with the name "Stubborn Mule" instead of "Sonoma Kitchen". I had wanted to try Sonoma Kitchen after reading the menu online. This menu was very different and limited....we had unknowingly dined on the night of the "Stubborn Mule's" (the name changed, but their sign hadn't changed yet) soft opening. Since I don't eat beef, fried food, and am allergic to nuts, there was only 1 entree option for me, the chicken breast. My friend ordered the "Mule Burger", and we had some potstickers as an appetizer. We are glad we stayed because the food was VERY good. I'm looking forward to going back again after they have their expanded regular menu! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
Servers and staff were very friendly and accommodating! Food was good but too salty for every meal ordered. Appetizers were very good; I.e. Cheese plate and dumplings.
We went to Sonoma Kitchen for Sunday Brunch to celebrate my son's birthday and it was a great choice! The service was super. Our waitress, Victoria, was delightful and helpful. All of the staff were friendly and we had a super time! Thank you
The waitress that we had was amazing! Very attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. We did not like the fruit cup that she brought out and she was sure to remove that from the bill with out an issue because it was not what she had originally told us would be in it. Loved the food! Will definitely be back.
This place is cool to grab a drink before a date or before a night out with friends, the location isn't the best simply because of parking if you aren't familiar with the DT area. I went here on a date and it just was really quiet and the food menu is a little bleak, service okay at best and the inside is really small. Would suggest this place for a Sunday out door day.
A Little on the noisy side for a romantic meal. Food was very good. Outdoor seating would be great but is weather dependent
Service was very slow, took almost an hour to get our food
Too loud both outside and inside- disappointing food and drink menu
Sonoma Kitchen was a wonderful find. We were looking for something in downtown Orlando and this hit it perfectly. Easy to get to off of I-4. It was a lovely evening so we chose to eat outside and hit it early (5:30). Just as we were leaving (8:30) the evening was just starting to pick up with live music at the outdoor patio, the bar area was bustling, the street event was taking off.....great atmosphere, wonderful food (took advantage of the 'happy hour' specials) and I had a great margarita!
Went to Sonoma for Mother's Day. Had great food and loved the outdoor seating. Great drink selections. Will definitely go back for happy hour.
