Sonny Williams' Steak Room
Sonny Williams' Steak Room has some fantastic appetizers for you to enjoy. These include items like the fried calamari, jumbo lump crab cakes and the French Onion Soup. Of course, you can choose from many different cuts of steak when you visit Sonny Williams' Steak Room. Try the Double Bone Smoked Pork Chop, Herb Roasted Chicken, and Alaskan King Crab legs as well. For dessert, consider the warm Bread Pudding w/ Whiskey Sauce, or a Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream.
I asked our waiter where their steaks were from, if they were grass fed, corn fed or grain fed. He had no idea.
They stuck us in a side room which was fine, until they sat a large group of loud, boisterous men in the same room. We were not the only dining party annoyed. Our waiter was oblivious, in fact in joined into their loud banter. The only saving grace was the quality of their steaks. Also he failed to notify us of the up charge for Asparagus a couple of us ordered with our meal.
Reservation stated this was a 60th bday special occasion but no acknowledgement by the restaurant - not even a birthday wish - at all! Not sure why info was solicited if it was not going to be used. An opportunity was missed to wow us; were very disappointed instead.
Apps & food were outstanding. Service was the highlight.
The filet mignon was prepared to perfection and one of the best I have ever had. The service was excellent too. We were on a time schedule since we had plans afterwards, and our waitress was very helpful with that.
It was everything I hoped and more! The steak and sides were perfect and the charcuterie board was definitely something special.
Overall an excellent meal. Would recommend for business meetings.
Food and service is first class. Location is excellent and within walking distance of most downtown hotels
All 4 of us had different items (fish, steak) and all were excellent.
Food, music and wait staff were very good. However, we had to wait 45 minutes for our food and Price’s are too high. We were informed there was a large wedding party. They should have been prepared for that and Friday evening business. If they had been busy it would have been more understandable. However, there were limited tables besides us and the wedding party.
We had a very early reservation, and were the only people in the restaurant until close to 6. Disappointed in the steaks for a steak house, but the sides and salads were excellent. Nice cocktail list. Wine is expensive. The server acted like he'd rather be doing anything else and was annoyed to be waiting on our table. Unfortunately, would not come back if we visited LR again.
We came here for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The steaks were perfect and the service was great. Highly recommended!
Favorite restaurant in Arkansas. Absolutely great each time. Never stop
An outstanding steak, which is what we (my date and I) went for! The waitress was very helpful in pairing a wine, and the manager even came over to help us make our steak selection! The piano player came over to ask if we had requests, and we had a very nice, quiet, delicious dinner. Everything was perfect!
Sonny's is a consistent high performer in our market and I'll be back, but my last visit was not up to the high standards I expect of it. Our waiter was congenial and I believe he was trying, but was well below expectations. He didn't appear to have the proper training and/or experience and didn't have any apparent supervision or help. The steak was outstanding as always, but the asparagus served with it was so small and of such low quality that the kitchen should have just said they were out. Everyone has a bad night, so I'll come back for sure.
We had an excellent experience. Food was great, ambiance was outstanding, service was A+. We enjoyed the piano playing while we were eating.
I went to sonny Williams for prom. When I arrived the place looked very nice and we were automatically greeted by the nice hostess. She took us to our seat and told my date that she looked beautiful. Very nice of her! The music and atmosphere was exquisite as well as the food. My only complaint was I asked for a 10 oz sirloin and received a 6 oz. The waitress was very nice and apologized for her mistake and only charged me for the 6 oz.
There were 4 of us arriving 15 mins apart so Zoe was very accommodating. Drinks were excellent. We shared calamari, with each ordering different salads. All 4 of us are steak eaters- filet and porterhouse were perfect which comes with green beans and a potato choice plus extra sides to order. Each of us had different deserts. Staff was great, piano player was good, played all night. Quite atmosphere with ambiance. We were there from 7:30-10:30. We are all from NYC area and agree it is hard to find a good restaurant down here. Would highly recommend them.
Steaks were excellent. Waitress helped us pick out a wine even though we don’t like wine!
We celebrated our 45 wedding anniversary there & it was delightful.
Excellent food, service, atmosphere with great piano bar area too!
Took my wife for our 27th anniversary. We had a great time. Food, staff were very pleasant. While on the expensive side..it was worth it. I will be back
I ordered the New York Strip steak. The 1st bite was the best bite. From them on the flavor lacked . The stark was rough all the way through. Lots of fat and gristle, at least 25 % . Pore cut of meat.
Three out of four steaks were perfect. One was undercooked. They had no trouble taking it back. Great atmosphere and staff. Piano player was a great touch and was friendly.
crab cakes were cornmeal with crab juice poured on them..Lobster was limp and slimy
We shared the porterhouse for two, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our sides were good and portion appropriate. The pomegranate martini was amazing. We were way too full for desert, but there was a good selection. Last, but not least, our waiter, Shaun, was fantastic. He was super attentive without hovering and crazy personable. Overall, our meals were excellent and we will most certainly be back.
Our waiter Shaun was superb, attentive, but not hovering.
We sat at the bar and had dinner. The bartender was amazing. She was so attentive and unbelievably fun and sweet! Food was delicious. We split the ribeye. So much food!!!!
The porter house medium well and the lamb cooked the same and a bottle of moscato chilled in a bucket of ice was perfect
Because of an accident on the highway, we arrived at the restaurant a bit cramped for time. Our waiter completely understood and got us drinks and our meals in a timely fashion.
We made it to our engagement on time and our evening at Sonny Williams could only have been better had we had more time.
Zoey made our experience with Sonny's so enjoyable. Wonderful service with a smile, will definitely return.
Great! Food was amazing!
Ordered the ribeye steak very disappointed because it was tough with too much griselda. The appetizers were delicious, green beans were subpar.
We were taken care of so well during our celebration. Every detail that we asked needed taken care of was. Excellent customer service!!! Thank you for making sure my son was happy!!
The steak that my husband had was AMAZING. I had the steak tips with pasta - don’t waste your money on this.
Good food. Good service. Didn’t like sitting in front of the entrance. Cold wind blew in every time the doors opened.
Service was great. What was disappointing was the sauce/marinade all over the steak. There was a big pool of it that the steak was sitting in. It was like a thinner version of steak sauce. Completely overpowered the flavor.
Excellent food and wait staff. I would recommend this to anyone. It was well worth it.
Although a bit more expensive than we usually do, it makes for a great anniversary dinner.
We have eaten at Sonny Williams' many times, but the quality has been gradually declining over the last couple of years. This most recent visit was the worst yet. I ordered the special, Alaskan halibut, but with the sauce on the side. Apparently the sauce was the only thing intended to carry the dish because without it the fish was like shoe leather, flavorless and rubbery. The green beans were over - salted and an odd mixture of limp and crunchy, as if 2 batches were mixed together. Granted, the manager didn't charge me for my food, but the meal was still over $100 per person. Additionally, my son - in - law's steak was undercooked, the salads were drowned in dressing, and the special dessert tasted like a frozen and reheated Sara Lee cake. We won't be going back for quite some time.
