It took a while for us to be served and the waiting staff weren't as attentive as over would like. But once the food started to arrive that could be forgiven. The food was excellent.
We were at outside and with it being on a residential street the noise level was fine for conversation.

Champion Catabrian anchovies, balsamic acid bomb tropea onions, runaway barbeque lamb, a silky puddle of burratta and the most charming service this side of the river. Cannot wait for the sequel.

Lovely food and restaurant with a intimate atmosphere. A small range of italian dishes all explained to us made the experience extra special. We will be back again soon to sample the pizzas which looked great!
Takeaway during lockdown:
Excellent pizzas, beautifully combined (unusual) top notch Italian ingredients, gourmet pizza for sure. Chocolate mousse and Tiramisu for dessert were lovely and all prepared by a very personable chef.
Before lockdown we’ve had lunch and coffee and cake in the cafe, very pleasing indeed. You wouldn’t find this fare on North Street!

Service sadly was poor, lack of knowledge about the food, very slow and not remotely attentive. Such a shame we had high hopes

Pizza's are good, salad and anchovies excellent went back for lunch next day which was truly outstanding. If you liked the original Birch and Sam's relaxed cooking you will enjoy this.

Lovely food and friendly staff. We went for Saturday lunch. The menu was quite short, but had lots of nice options. I went for stuffed pumpkin pasta, which was excellent, though I would have liked a slightly larger portion. They gave us free sourdough bread on the side though, so I didn't go hungry.
Relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic food, excellent value. Highly recommended.
