I decided at the last minute to book this restaurant to take my mother out on Valentine's Day. I made the reservation at about 1:30 pm for 8:15 pm, when we arrived they said because we made the reservation the same day then they could not really honor it because they were overbooked. Many places were booked, that is why they said they had no availability. If you do not have availability then do not open reservation slots. Nonetheless, we were seated and the service was HORRIBLE!!!! The absolute worst service I have ever had in my life and I eat out on a weekly basis!!! But the food was AMAZING!!!! It is a catch 22, the food was so good, I consider returning, but the service was so atrocious, I can't imagine returning! Every time we needed a server, I had to literally get up and get one, they would make eye contact and still ignore me. It took about an hour to get our seafood dishes, while others around us who came after us, go their food first. No one ever apologized or checked to see how we were doing. Other customers were getting up and leaving. Customers were asking each other for menus, because the servers could never be found. The manager heard everything and could have cared less. If customer service was better this place could be #1!
So first up, I had a reservation and I showed up on time but still we had to wait for 15 mins to get a place as they did not have a table. When we got the table the servers clearly looked in too much of a hurry and didnt take the order properly. The reason I say that is because I specifically told the I do not want fish sauce in my food as I am vegetarian. We also told that my wife has shellfish allergy. The food that we got had a strange taste so we verified and they told us that they add fish and oyster sauce in the food. When they finally brought the check they billed us wrongly for food we did not even order. So for me, this place is a no-no in future.

This was my first time at Songkran Thai Grill and I had heard so much about it that I really wanted to try it for myself. The customer service was very great, the employees were willing to help you with the menu and any changes in the order. Their Thai tea is also one of the best Thai teas I have ever had. The food was obviously exceptional. Overall, I loved this Place and will definitely recommend it to my friends and family
We made reservations based on a Facebook link for their New Year's Eve menu. Disappointed when we got there to find out there was NO special menu.

This is a relatively new place in Sugar Land but I’m glad it’s here. We’ve been several times and really enjoyed the food which is Thai with an eclectic touch. Everything we’ve had has been great. The service can be a little slow, but it’s not bad and heure friendly. It’s become one of my favorite restaurants in the area!
went for mom's birthday. food was good but I asked if i could get a dish that was not spicy, to add spice to it. while the waiter suggested that it would not be as good with the added spice, that it would be brought on the side. never get the spice, and whatever liquid was added to the skillet evaporated before i could enjoy it. I will go back to try their other items as I have been to the Uptown location and had an amazing meal!

Made reservation to eat prior to a concert at the Smart Center. Enjoyed the dining and preparation of the food. Fast service and friendly staff. The free parking next door to the restaurant was ample. Also enjoyed that it is not very far from the venue so you can take your time and enjoy your meal.
Food is pretty good. But they haven't much idea how to serve or price wine. The white wine needed to be chilled more. A bottle of Nobillo Sav Blanc is priced as 4 $11 glasses. $44 dollars for a tepid bottle of low end white wine which should be about $35 max is a bit over the top.
Food took over an hour after we ordered so mostly everyone's food was cold. Staff was friendly but appeared to be overwhelmed. I would go back but my family says they would not.

This was our third meal at, and second review for, Songkran Thai Grill. It gets better every time! Perhaps it's the lychee martinis. We just love this spot. Don't miss the Heavenly Beef.
We love the ambiance of this place. Great decor and comfortable feel even though the dining area is small. The food is always good, and there's a nice selection of drinks. Most of the dishes are very traditional, and you can get it spicy or not depending on your preference.
What a Gem! The Food was out of this world! Chef Jett was so gracious - after we had lunch he gave us the grand tour - including their new restaurant/bar space - Sugar Refinery - scheduled to open any day now. The kitchen was spotless. Service was so accommodating and pleasant - our waitress was a delight!. The restaurant is lovely - very warm and inviting - beautiful large art dominates and intrigues the dining room. And Sugar Refinery décor is neat and warm and inviting as well - but with a different feel. Can't wait to go back!

Wife and I enjoyed our first meal here this weekend. Everything was tasty, service and ambiance were pleasant. Thee spicy tofu was outstanding. Will definitively come again.
The food was tasty. Some of the items listed in the vegetarian menu are NOT vegetarian. For ex, the pad thai has fish sauce pre-mixed. Our server was very helpful in checking with the kitchen to see what was actually vegetarian. It is definitely a convenient option for those living in or visiting Sugar Land.
Our reservation was for 7:30pm and found out when we got there that they closed at 8pm. So we felt a little rushed at first but after we ordered we weren't rushed at all. It was a nice dinner.
they have real authentic thai food, initially we ordered two appetizer and two entrees between my wife and I but however qauntity was so less that we had to order extra fried rice.
Inshort i would say they have best qaulified chefs in the kitchen but they need to work on qauntity as they are operating Texas 'everything is big here, if you know what i mean ;) '
I read the reviews and saw the ratings on Songkran Thai Grill and decided to try for myself. The reviews didn't disappoint. It was an excellent spot to meet with friends and have delicious dinner. Its a must go in the Town Center area, especially if you like Thai cuisine.
I wanted to like this place but I wasn't impressed.
Pleasantly pleased with both food and atmosphere. I will definitely come back again!
Slow service but the inside looks very nice
The food was great and the service was exceptional. It was my first time to the restaurant and my wife and I really enjoyed our meal. We have date night once a week and tend to try a different restaurant each time..
I must state that while we were very pleased overall, the huge mural on the wall of a lady laying down was a little creepy and in our view.. a bit of a turn off. While I love the authenticity of the décor, I will strongly recommend doing something about that huge mural...I think it might be costing you potential customers. We both agreed that the smaller mural is fine but the huge one was a turn-off.
Back to the food--I give this place 5 stars and so does my wife..
Food is very tasty but they need to adjust the temperature of their wine fridge, our white wine was not chilled enough.
Had high expectations with all the great online reviews. Sadly the experience fell short. Can find better Thai food elsewhere. Got the Pad-Thai and it was not the best I ever had.
Personal favorite was the green curry. Thai Chili Basil was also pretty good. Drunken Noodles were pretty average compared to typical Thai restaurants.
The food here is very good except at lot of dishes tend to be sweeter than they need to be. I guess that this because the restaurant of the Sugar Land suburb where people's tastes prefer this. The soft shell crab appetizer is very good and the eggplant side dish. Everything we had was enjoyable. This is my second visit. It isn't truly authentic because of the sweetness, but there are plenty of different dishes that are not at every Thai restaurant. They have some interesting cocktails, some wine and very limited beers.

I made a reservation for 7 pm. We showed up about 5 minutes early, and were seated immediately, with our choice of inside or outside. We chose outside, as it was a beautiful cool evening. The server took our order for drinks, appetizer and main course promptly, and drinks showed up quickly. We had the Satay Gai (chicken satay) appetizer with peanut sauce dip. It was tasty, but I thought the portion was small (3 small chicken skewers) for the price. My wife had Pad Thai for the main course, which she said was tasty but a little bland. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) with shrimp, which is advertised on the menu as Wok spicy noodle w/ tomato, basil, ground chili. I asked the server to make it extra spicy. She said I could choose from 1 to 4 for the spiciness. I asked for 4 - she asked if I knew that it was already spicy. I confirmed, and said that I like very spicy food. The dish, as delivered, was tasty, but not very spicy at all. When I was about half done, the server came back and asked if it was spicy enough. When I said it wasn't, she brought a carrier with three containers of different spices to make it hotter. A few spoonfuls of a red sauce took it closer to the level I was looking for, though still not close to really spicy Thai food as I have had it before. Not getting the spicy Thai food I hoped for was my only real complaint. Otherwise, it was a good meal at a reasonable price.
Birthday for my wife and some close friends; food was awesome especially the short ribs and pad Thai. I don't typically eat Thai but this place changed my mind. The only drawback is that Sugarland is still smoking permitted, and though we were outside on an amazing rare cool evening, the bar next door had smokers outside and seem to blow their smoke right at us, couldn't move but otherwise I strongly recommend
