                                                                                                           I am a pizza connoisseur and tried just about every brick oven pizza restaurant in New York City and I have to say I think this is one of the best in fact it’s almost as good as the pizza in Napoli. Strong recommendation to go.

                                                                                                          It can be a little noisy on busy days but I’ve been coming to this place since they opened in their initial location (now they have 3 or 4) and it’s amazing to see how well they’re doing - every single piece of food is delicious, the service is amazing and friendly and some of them are the original people from the first place and they recognize you and are very sweet. You don’t see the owner as much here anymore but he’s a super jolly friendly guy.

                                                                                                          We heard about this place from family visiting from overseas which is kind of ironic given that we actually live in Manhattan. Checked out the reviews and it seemed worth trying. So we walked to their newer location and even picked a not so busy time for dinner. We really liked the way the restaurant is decorated. We ordered the calamari, margherita pizza and spaghetti pomodoro. Also had a bottle of Peroni beer which I would say for $11, I can almost by a 6 pack of Peroni. I would say the calamari was ok but not any better than others we have tried. The pizza was comparable to the competition. I would say that the spaghetti was outstanding- noodles were fresh and cooked al dente and mixed nicely with the sauce. Loved that it was easy to twirl! All in all a satisfactory experience but nothing extraordinary and value for money wasn’t really there. Maybe we had set our expectations too high and there are just so many good Italian restaurants around.
