As a resort, the DreamMore is wonderful. But this restaurant is pricey. Having to pay the adult price for 11 and 12 year olds is too much.
Great ambience! For some reason they had issues keeping the buffet stocked even though it was 6:00 pm and they were less than half full. Also, several of the items were barely even warm. All of the items that were available and at the correct temperature were very good. This is a little pricey and a very poor value if they don’t keep the food stocked and at the correct temperature.
We stayed at the resort from Sat-Tues and booked the restaurant for a Monday night (my wife's birthday). That evening, both the resort and restaurant were slow and, since the meal is buffet, a lot of the food wasn't turning over (meaning sitting in pans for a longer period of time). The service was terrific and our waitress was wonderful, but the meal was nothing special. The fish was so so and the veggies were definitely suffering from being in their trays for too long. Being able to create a fancy donut for dessert was fun, but even the donut was nothing special. Finally, I was hoping for a birthday wish for my wife, but it never happened (though I had mentioned it in the reservation). Overall, the meal was fair, service terrific, and value ok.
Not the best time we visited. Service was poor and good quality has been better. We will give it another shot when we visit again next year. Our sixth visit to the resort, and we’ve always been pleased other times. Hoping it was a fluke.
Dinner at Song & Hearth was a great ending to a great day! The food was delicious!
Quality of the food was excellent. Server was very pleasant.
This is not the first time at the DW buffet, but it is by far our worst experience. The prime rib was delicious, but outside of that we were very disappointed with this visit. Food displays and utensils were not kept clean and bordered on disgusting. Tried several different side dishes - sweet potatoes, corn pudding, collards, and others, but the only ones edible were the salad and baked potato. I am a southerner and love southern foods, so that is not what turned me off of the sides, they just tasted bad. The desserts were few and far between, picked over, and not replenished. The apple pie looked like someone dumped it in the pan and gave it a big stir, didn't even resemble a pie. If you are paying $25+pp to eat dinner at a buffet you would certainly expect better quality of food and cleanliness.
Our server would disappear for long periods of time leaving us waiting for drinks, the bill, etc.
Atmosphere and the prime rib are the only things that made this visit 2 stars overall.
We always plan one evening meal to go to the buffet. The menus are online so you know what will be served. The best mashed potatoes every time!! The prime rib was great. All the veggies & meat dishes were delicious! The service was friendly and very accommodating. Plus the resort is gorgeous- just like Dolly.
We’ve eaten at Song and Hearth several times. We did not enjoy our meal this visit. Most of the food was salty. Our Son in law’s BBQ whiskey beef tips were dry and salty. The roast beef and Mac and cheese were great. So was the service. Just wasn’t worth the price.
Decent food, bit pricey.
Not a fan of small children in restaurant like this. Wonder if the parents would get the hint if asked to leave...
Our server, Tammy was fantastic and very attentive! We simply love this restaurant for any meals throughout the day!
Food was delicious, however the waitress neglected to take away used dishes between courses. Also when reminded that we had requested a birthday cupcake when making our reservation, she knew nothing about it. We went to the hostess who said they did not do that anymore. But then she said we have some in the freezer I guess we can get one out. She brought out a beautiful platter with Happy Birthday on it written in chocolate and a cupcake with no candle.
The perfect dining experience. Took guests from out of state and could not have been more proud to share this experience with them.
Food was wonderful, waitress was very good. Enjoyed the buffet. The fried chicken was great and we loved all the desserts that you could choose from.
Our server was excellent. We were treated so well. The food was not what we expected. The brisket was dry and some of the side dishes were either bland or over spiced. I believe that the green beans were ghost pepper flavored. The fresh salad was the best part of the meal. It was delicious. The desserts were plentiful but somewhat flavorless. I've had the breakfast buffet at Song and Hearth and it was five star all the way. I will end with this. We dined at 5:00 p.m. when the restaurant opened and food at its freshest. This made no difference.
It was our 40th anniversary we were treated like royalty by the waitress named Tammy. Food was great too.
The experience was very nice. The salad bar and potato bar were really nice. Main dishes were delicious. Fried Chicken was the best I have ever had. Loved the Salmon, ham, cranberries, collards and sweet potato's the best. They were my favorite.
The desserts we tried were okay but not fantastic.
Would definitely recommend.
I was so excited for this buffet. I was disappointed by the limited selection, and that most of the food looked better than it tasted. The mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were great. The prime rib was so rare it was hardly even cooked and not edible. I really liked the atmosphere, but would have enjoyed it even more of the food was a bit better. There was a pretty large dessert selection, the dessert was the best part.
Was just a great meal.
Amazing buffet! Looked beautiful and tasted great!
Delicious! And lots of options for our family! The fried chicken is a must!!
Best dinner we had on our Trip to the Smokies! We went on Beale Street night and the Brisket melted in our mouths! Excellent service. Quiet atmosphere. A gem!!
We had a reservations for 2 and when we arrived they only had a table for six I took my wife for dinner for her birthday It was awkward sitting at a table for six plus it was very noisy Kids were running all over the place
Food was prepared properly and very delicious. Staff was very friendly.
The atmosphere is quaint and beautiful as the rest of the hotel. The quality of the Saturday evening buffet was not up to par with the rest of the hotel experience. The salad bar was picked over and not replenished, the food selection was limited, and many of the recipes were bland. The food in general at the Dollywood DreamMore resort fell well below my expectations and is not worth the resort level price.
Siblings got together for the weekend at DreamMore Resort to celebrate one brother’s 50th birthday. Our first night there, we ate the prime rib buffet at the Song & Hearth restaurant. Food was wonderful - lots of variety, seasoned perfectly, and just delicious. The 8 adults were completely satisfied and complimentary of the food and atmosphere. The only complaint that I have is the pricing - children over the age of 10 are considered adults and have to pay full adult cost. In addition to each of the 8 adults, we paid $22.95 + tax for a 12-year old who ate a small portion of mashed potatoes and about 4 chicken nuggets.
Everything was great! Will definitely be going back!
It was my mother's birthday. Being a fan of Dolly, my mom wanted to come to the resort to dine at the restaurant. We were surprised to learn that the restaurant was buffet styled. Now... with that said, we did enjoy our food and who doesn't love a buffet, but (after-tax) it came to a total of about $25 a person. We weren't necessarily surprised by the price, but personally, I'm not sure if it was worth that.
The chicken etouffee was great. The collard greens, too. A wide variety of desserts lined an entire wall, and the blueberry cobbler was amazing. The other options lacked luster. The steak was tough.
The service was great. The hostess was very kind, and our server was very attentive and sweet. The atmosphere felt very comfortable and I enjoyed the ambiance.
My biggest complaint was as we were leaving. Walking out past the host stand did we see a couple looking at the menu in the bar area. That's when I learned that they had a full dinner menu available in the "lounge" area. I wish the hostess would have mentioned the option, as we would have preferred this. Only looking at the reviews now do I see any mention of the buffet on the OpenTable page.
We planned a meal here to celebrate our anniversary while staying at the hotel. Staff was very nice and gave us a special dessert. But, I was really disappointed in the quality of the food. It wasn’t very good , and baked potatoes were cold. The soup wasn’t well done either. Overall not a good quality for the price.
The food and service was excellent. Loved the environment, didn’t feel crowded like buffets can be. Will be back
The dining room conveys a very homey, comfortable environment. The food is superb and the selection great. The dessert selection is especially large. Our server was wonderful and made us feel special.
Just as good as it was the first time I tried this place!!!!
This was an unexpected treat. While on vacation we were looking for a steak restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Although we found many highly rated the prices were higher than we wanted to expend for a party of 8. This choice provided truly top quality prime rib, succulent salmon and many other choices for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend it.
Very great buffet dining experience. Would heartily recommend this place to anyone. Everything at this buffet that I tried was cooked to perfection. Am definitely returning in the near future!! And it is not very expensive either.
The food and atmosphere was AWESOME and the price was great too. If you go, ask for Allan too. He was a GREAT waiter and his service was exceptional. We HIGHLY recommend going, rather you are visiting here or live here.
The buffet had a lot of great options and the taste was good! The staff was very friendly. The only negative in the experience was I didn’t know that I could’ve used my Dollywood Goldpass to receive a 20% discount. I found that out the next day. But next time I will know :)
One of the better buffets still around. The problem with buffets is keeping the food fresh and hot. The vegetables were outstanding, the meats were only so so. The desserts were nothing special, though they were plentiful, they were just ordinary sweets. Over all with the nice atmosphere it was a good experience but nothing that I would crave to do again anytime soon.
Overall price was high ($110 for two adults and two kids) for a buffet, but food was very good. Prime rib was good, but cut really thin. Not sure why we had a reservation because it was definitely not busy.
The restaurant was amazing food was very good. Really enjoyed dinner there with my family.
