   Went for an early dinner after a show at PPAC. (4p Sunday) Mike was the server/bartender & was very knowledgeable & friendly. Everything he recommended was spot on!! Very different types of rolls offered, along w many different appetizers such as eggplant tempura, burrata w pears, dumplings that were top-notch. Cute room w nice big tables, full, beautiful bar. Perfect for a date or a family… Chef Nino introduced himself & was a generous & warm host w a very diverse background!!! I would highly recommend Somo! We will be back!

   great location in providence. restaurant ambiance and drinks were very good, great place for a group for sure. the food and sushi was good definitely not the best I've ever had but it was good. definitely on the pricer side but overall a great place for a group to hang for drinks and a lighter fare dinner.

   We went for Valentine’s Day dinner. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. Food was delicious and we were able to talk with the chef!

   Showed up to a dirty table cloth and everyone crammed on top of each other in one area. Food was good but on the expensive side for size of rolls. Great service (kept the drinks coming & was very friendly). Overall, a little overrated but not bad.

   Delicious food. The presentation was amazing. Drinks were a little expensive, but tasted amazing so I can live with the price. I definitely recommend!!!

   How is this place rated at 4 stars plus? Maybe people have low standards in this city? The atmosphere and vibe are a huge question mark. The service is poor slow and unfriendly. Our waitress left the restaurant mid meal for 20 mins. I had to order ketchup from the sushi chef lol. The food was tasteless and bland kinda like gas station sushi. All rice no flavor. And after all of that the bill comes and it's not cheap. Bottom line: you don't get what you pay for ! Better spend your money elsewhere.

   I knew things were a bit off when the hostess asked if we had a reservation but then never asked for a name. The next red flag was when we ordered the blistered shishito peppers as an appetizer and our bartender inquired if green bell peppers were an acceptable substitute for us. (sorry no, we're not interested in paying $10 for bell peppers) Then before we'd ordered our mains the hostess came over and asked if she could have our menus because they'd "run out". It was getting comical at this point. Luckily the sushi was ok and the bartender was friendly. Certainly no need to venture back to Somo with so many other sushi restaurants in the state.

   Made the reservation for 7:30 through Open table. Arrived on time was told they took too many and it would be an hour wait. No place to go so we waited. They sat us in 20 minutes. But no menus for awhile as they had a shortage. Drinks took 27 minutes to get from the time we ordered. Food was good and on time and dessert was awesome. Waitress was very nice. If you don’t have the staff, don’t overbook. Made it tough to want to go back
