Somerville was exactly what I expected and more then I expected. The restaurant is beautiful from the outside to the inside. The drink menu is complete with something for everyone’s palate. They also have a fully stocked bar. The menu was also very thorough, and being a vegetarian I was really pleased with the huge selection. We had the chicken sliders with caviar- 10/10 no need to add extra caviar. The Mac n cheese 8.5/10. And this is only a personal preference on the type of cheese used-it was giving grilled cheese. The broccolini-10/10 very flavorful and enough for both of us to share. And finally the collard greens lasagna 10/10. So flavorful and filling. Definitely try it and then go again.

My review is not a direct reflection of the restaurant itself. We happened to attend after a power outrage, were seated, ordered drinks, and then learned we could not eat bc kitchen was closed. We had 915 reservation so arrived hungry and needed to quickly determine another place to dine. I will return and revise my review considering different circumstances.

Food was fantastic and live jazz was a treat. The place has great energy and is decorated very well. Table service could have been much better.

Unfortunately, my recent experience was mediocre—a far cry from my first visit. The first time I dined here, everything was exceptional. The service was excellent, the ambiance was beautiful, and the food was exquisite. The filet mignon for two was cooked to perfection, the oysters were outstanding, and the drinks were both strong and flavorful. This time, I brought my mom to celebrate her 62nd birthday, and sadly, the experience fell short. Despite our reservation, other parties were seated before us, and we were left standing awkwardly near other diners’ tables while they ate. The drinks we ordered were strong but unpleasant in taste, and the food was undercooked—not once, but twice. While the manager did remake my steak, the sides came back cold. We were offered an appetizer as a courtesy, but unfortunately, it didn’t improve the experience. It was disappointing, especially considering how memorable my first visit had been.

After about 2.5 hours of dining and minutes after paying the bill, the maitre d leaned over and whispered in my ear that people have been waiting for over 20 minutes to be seated and we had to leave. The busser was at our table far too often asking if he could clear items when it was obvious there was plenty of food still there and we had just been served a course. On the upside, the food and ambiance was amazing. Our waiter Joseph did an excellent job. The service towards the end however all but ensures we will not return.

this was our first time going to Somerville on my birthday. The ambience took my breath away when they open the doors not what I expected so pretty, love the way they have it set up. The band is a nice touch. It was just a very energetic feeling and energetic vibe. The service was good. Our waiter could have been a little more attentive. We did have to flag him down a couple of times but outside of that it was good. They didn't do anything special for my birthday, which was surprising cause most restaurants do. The food was really good bursting with flavor and nice presentation. The overall experience was excellent . I would rate it a 9.5. We already have reservations to go back for next month. Issa Ray really did her thing with this one. It's really nice to have a lovely dining experience in our neighborhood.

The food was very mediocre. The mac & cheese tasted like Velveeta. Brussel sprouts were good not great. Spent $80 and didn’t LOVE anything. Fried chicken sliders were alright but Chick Fil A tastes a bit better for $8 vs $27. Service was poor and won’t be back but we had to see for ourselves.

I had been waiting so long to get a reservation and I wax finally able to and I was so excited to see it and experience it for myself- and I going to say that I LOVE the aesthetics of the restaurant/speak easy - it gives me that old time but modernized speak easy feel. Anyway the SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE and Carla I believe that's what her name was - was unconcerned, inattentive and neglectful- it was a horrible dining experience- she either ignored our table on purpose or the few tables she did have overwhelmed her - but I talked to the couple behind me and the manager and they experienced the same bad service I did - I enjoyed the food - I know next time if I return to order everything at once from the starters, salads, entree, desert and drinks order in multiples because you won't see your waitress again until it's time to pay the bill - no water refills - nothing - don't come hungry because it's going to be along time before you eat ANYTHING
