Excellent. Loved it. Went for a birthday brunch. For they occasion, they brought each a glass of Prosecco which was appreciated. I will be back.
Amazing. Get the crab app… delicious! Great staff and amazing food and drinks.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. . . We loved the salmon and burger entree. . Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Food was exceptional. Drinks were just okay. Food came out so fast. We didn’t linger long.
Great service, super food and a great experience.
The menu was nothing like the menu on open table. The food that I previously enjoyed was not good. Everything we ordered was saturated with lemon to the point that flavors were indistinguishable. My risotto had the same flavor as my wife’s chicken and they both tasted identical to the corn. The corn was barely warm. The server was pleasant.
Food was terrible—new menu and newer chef needs to be fixed
Waiter staff was kind and accommodating
Go for the ambiance for a cocktail
My husband and I had a date night here and we felt like we were given a real treat by dining here. The staff was so kind and attentive. The food was refreshingly unique and absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this place!
The tuna appetizer was very tasty, but small (thus a poor value) compared to others in the area. The salmon was terrific ... and cooked to request. And they allowed a vegetable replacement.
Great food indoors or out
Just a perfect date night, thank you so much for making it memorable
Not friendly towards other races. Very disappointed in the service.
Pre-pandemic, Somerset was my favorite dining spot! Loved it for Brunch, lunch and a special dinner. Last night we were seated at a lovely outdoor table. Cocktails were perfection. Our waiter was new to the restaurant, so unfamiliar with its previous offerings and last nights menu was much abbreviated and disappointing for this vegetarian. Many yummy looking options for folks not plant-based though.
It’s a special restaurant and def worth a visit.
Terrible slow unapologetic service. The worst. Such a disappointment. Killed my brunch vibe.
The waitress was extremely inattentive. She had to be flagged down numerous times. The food was fine... not bad, but nothing special.
WOW. I am very much in support of restaurants business but after our dining experience at Somerset we will have to be more selective. Let’s starts with circuses. I attached the picture of our table setting and flower arrangement. I think it was part of SNL skit to see if we notice.
Food was just OK and nothing to brag about it. Except for the unforgettable flower arrangement very forgettable dining experience.
Patio is awesome.
So sad they change the owner, the place is nor the same. The food was terrible.
Impressed! Food was a good price for the value. Great ambiance. Would definitely go back.
Food has become great. Service could use some work. We are used to his food from SKY. Where they also had terrific service. Hoping they up the service a bit. Great for the neighborhood if the service w improves.
Superb food and nice ambiance!
Great place for a date or anniversary. Highlight of my night!
We have been coming since the place opened. The food is always fabulous, but the martinis are very small compared to the other good places in the area (Gibsons).
I think they are extremely over-priced. I will think twice before returning next time.
I made this reservation for brunch for my birthday. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the service me and my party received and also the food was mediocre. Some of our food came out burnt and cold. And when we complained their level of understanding and making it right was ummm less than stellar. I will NEVER eat here again.
Food was mediocre. Food was lacking in presentation. Service was poor.
Waited forever for a waiter and they kept switching… not impressed … outside closed when it wasn’t even raining…. Ur portions for appetizers are insanely small not even enough for one person
Somerset is a great Rush St dining experience. The restaurant offer a great vibe, tasty cocktails and awesome food. We have been there many times and it never disappoints. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area, but Somerset tops them all.
There must be a new chef/menu. The food has changed a lot and it is very unfortunate. This used to be one of my favorite places in the city.
Food was only fair. Not worth it at all. I had the steak and it was overdone. Others in the group weren’t thrilled either. Go across the street to Tavern on Rush.
Loved the interior with the blue and gold tones and neat chandeliers. Overall the food was good however, the appetizers were better than the actual entrees. Absolutely loved the cheesecake brûlée for dessert. Service was excellent!
Dinner at Somerset was amazing. They were very accommodating of the dietary restrictions at the table and offered solutions for how to make their dishes vegan. We will definitely be returning!
Found Somerset on OpenTable while waiting in a traffic backup. The menu looked fantastic. We booked and were not disappointed! The Cickpea Panisse, Parmesan encrusted chicken & Halibut were simply amazing. Dessert was Cheesecake Brûlée-outstanding- not to sweet, just perfect. Our waiter David was excellent. He was very direct with his answers and helpful with the wine pairing. He knew the menu very well, his descriptions were spot on!
Definitely will be back when we return to Chicago.
Food was great; atmosphere outside was quaint, minus occasional street noise (motorists) which can’t be helped
The four of us were pleasantly surprised with the food. Almost everything was delicious. The only imperfections were the underbaked cookies on the cookie plate. We loved the spicy (not too) crab on rice, the pork chop on terrific vegetables and the pasta. Our friends went mad for the warm mushroom salad and the flatbread. The spritzes were just right. Will be back.
Food wasn’t good, steak over cooked. So disappointed.
The fish came out uncooked. The server asked the kitchen for a new piece of fish which came out. But this interrupted the flow of the meal. Service by the wait staff and atmosphere were excellent
I want to keep loving Somerset but the latest brunch experience was leaving me wanting for more, food wise. Their menu looks good but the execution fell short. Maybe I'll just lower my expectations or just stick to dinner service from now on.
loved all the brunch options and a solid value. i like how you keep changing the menu up
Really nice ambience but horrible food. Very disapointed.
Love this chef. Some nice creative additions to the menu. Service was very attentive yet, relaxed & unobtrusive.
