   Excellent and helpful staff made this experience wonderful. I would definitely return when I’m in Wilmington again. Having signage outside of the Holiday Inn would help guests navigate better. Having signage near the entry elevator would also be helpful as there are two elevators at the entry.

   The Easter brunch was delicious. The restaurant is very clean and well appointed. The views are spectacular!!

   We were not staying in the hotel, but made Easter brunch reservations at Solstice. We were a bit disappointed to find it was only a typical hotel breakfast buffet: eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc and an eggs to order station. The line was very long and we had to wait for almost everything to be replenished. Additionally, our reservation said we needed a highchair and a booster seat (I understand that’s annoying, but I tried to let them know ahead of time) and the booth they had reserved for us would not accommodate either so we had to wait for another table to be cleaned (which is precisely why I included those details in the reservation notes). Our waitress was very kind and the restaurant is very nice and well appointed, with great views of Wrightsville Beach, but I don’t know that I would recommend it for brunch.

   She crab soup and cornbread were greasy and heavy. Scallops were not seasoned at all and on line of being undercooked. Service was inattentive. For a meal over $130 with base line tip was severely disappointing! The ocean view was the best part. So much for a wonderful birthday dinner.

   I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was an amazing dining experience. I had dinner at the bar and breakfast the next morning. All the food was great, service was great, the waitress was very attentive. The view of the sunrise while you ate was breathtaking. I am looking forward to my next visit.

    Our party of 6 (reservation) was seated just next to the buffet and the line to the buffet. We were not told initially that there was no menu, only buffet so we sat there wondering. Light eaters had to pay a buffet price. I never would have made the reservation, which was a birthday gathering.
