Our breakfast was delicious. We added a biscuit with honey maple syrup which was divine! In addition, our waitress, Kate, suggested bacon on the breakfast bowl — that was a winner! All in all, great service and great food. We will be returning! Loved having a another brunch choice in Baton Rouge!

Wow! Upon arrival I was blown away by the crowd waiting for seating. However, the hostess was polite and the staff very professional as they bussed tables and within 12 minutes the entire crowd was seated. A our sever ,Victoria took our drink and appetizer orders. We of course started with the pork rinds. They were warm, crisp and flavorful. Our appetizer,the Shrimp Corndogs, arrived cold. Both Victoria and the manager assured us that it would be corrected. Within minutes the manager returned with the corndogs. They were fabulous! Though fried the shrimp were tender and juicy. The cornbread batter was slightly sweet but balanced out by the spicy mustard served with them. I enjoyed a Top Shelf Long Island Tea and my son had a Rum Punch both were good with a little kick. There were several large parties that day but both Victoria and the manager assured us that our food was coming. My chicken and waffles were extraordinary. My sons Sweet Potato Pancakes were light fluffy and palate pleasing. They even gave me a free dessert birthday cake and some cotton candy. I would recommend SoLou to anyone. I even noticed that there were some children present it what I thought was a family friendly environment,

The lobster night had me intrigued, and I’m kicking myself for not trying this restaurant sooner. All three courses were absolutely delicious and I am already planning a return trip to try out some other items on the menu.

I ordered the Creole Egg Bowl. It was good, a little watery, I guess from the eggs. It would be nice if there was a more sausage and cheese. It is an egg bowl, but it was a lot off egg.

I’m not sure if there was a new chef in the kitchen but my shrimp corn dogs were undercooked. The French toast did not have fresh fruit and it was too much marscapone in the middle. My husbands egg bowl we had to drain some of the liquid off. Our server was sweet but overall the food was not good this visit.

Went for a lobster— service was quick and server was friendly. But the lobster had a bitter aftertaste. Not sure if it was the lobster or a seasoning. If the food was good I would rate higher

SoLou was amazing as always! The food and drinks were fantastic. I sat at the bar. The bartender was excellent. He made one of the best Lemon Drop martinis ever! The crabmeat cheesecake has been one of Peter’s mainstays from way back in the Dinardos days. I order it every time I go to one of his restaurants. Absolutely delicious! The Team at SoLou always makes the experience great. You’ll always be very happy with your experience there or at any of the Making Raving Fans Hospitality Group restaurants.

It was awesome!! The food was fabulous. Our server, Kate, was the best. I will definitely come back. I'm already planning my next visit. It was one of the best meals I have had in a Baton Rouge restaurant.

Jennifer saved this from being a 2 star rating. We sat down and waited 20 minutes and no one came to our table but visited both tables next to us. People who sat after us received their cracklings, waters, drinks, and food before we did. The front of the house was in total disarray. After waiting another 30 minutes for our food which we placed orders as soon as we got Jennifer’s attention was still served after people who arrived after us. And my daughters order was completely wrong! Jennifer-who was not our waitress but vowed to make “it” right was wonderful. The food was also very tasty. Dropping my son off at LSU for the next 4 years. Jury is out on if we will return.

My friend and I drove from MS to enjoy the 3 course Lobster meal. I had the Lobster cheesecake and it was amazing. I want more! Everything was just delicious. I will definitely make the drive again just for that cheesecake!
