We were a party of 4 people and all wanted to try everything. We shared the meatball, veggie pizza, margherita pizza and brick chicken. They were all excellent. The pizza is a small crispy crust pizza (like in Italy). The chicken was so tender and tasty. The service was also excellent.
Delicious food - chicken breast with fig preserves is fantastic. Will definitely return.
So I know this place has been changing, and from our dinner last week, it has made some wonderful improvements on it's food. Everyone at the table enjoyed it. It was a really slow night, so service was great b/c of that, but the server was well versed in the menu and took care of all of our needs (especially as we started getting drunker and rowdier).
Horrible service. Out of many menu items including daily specials. Never going here again.
We brought special friends for dinner and as soon as we walked in their was a musty stale odor. The food was delicious, a bit pricey as were the drinks. I believe the restaurant becomes a nightclub in the evenings and this might account for the (early bar room smell). Again the food was very good but the ambience was really poor, I doubt we would return for future dinners.
We had great service starting from the moment we walked in the door. We had a few people run a little late. They still sat us and didn't rush us at all. The ravioli, calamari, and cheese board are delicious!
What a pleasant surprise. The food was outstanding. The brussel sprout and thebison appetizer are definate repeats
I'm from Philly so I love food. This is by far the best Italian I have found in Delray. We had the meatball which was excellent and my gnocchi was great also. I will be getting the pasta and meatball as a main next time. Looking forward to trying out more items on the menu.
This review is based solely on our night we decided to dine here while they had some sort of fashion show/bachelorette/bachelor party. They should NOT have also decided to "TRY" to serve regular customers. And they definitely should not have charged full price for us regulars. They were EXTREMELY short handed for the amount of people who were there. And seriously crazy to be only waiting on people having one drink as opposed to those of us who were spending decent money on drinks, appetizers and dinners. All of our entrees arrived to the table cool... nothing was right out of the oven hot. One of my friends had his drink forgotten completely... and once again his Italian Margarita was listed with Vodka instead of tequila. This is actually the 3rd time that has happened so wondered if the write up is wrong in the menu or what the deal is there? At any rate, I feel like we should have gotten some kind of "locals" discount on dinner that night because it was a VERY substandard experience as we normally would get for the same food/price. We were essentially forgotten about for the entire experience. I had to go back in for our waitress at one point to see if we were ever going to receive our drinks I ordered in the beginning. I'm usually a very patient person, but 20 minutes after ordering cocktails was a little much!
This was our first visit and we will be back. The best pizza we have found in the area. Split a salad and each got a pizza (we wanted leftovers). Scott was our waiter and gave us great service on the patio. Not busy for a Saturday night, the location is a bit off of Atlantic but well worth the find.
1st time there. Calamari was excellent. Pasta was also dented. Service from Liana was impeccable. You have a new customer.
Not like it used to be. Service was not up to par.Food was OK we have eaten here several times this was not a good visit.
The food is creative and very tasty. Service was quite good and the price very reasonable for the quality of the food. I have dined there at least 6 times this year. The restaurant is in a convenience location and right in the heart of downtown.
Been there about 4 times. All meals were enjoyed every time
We were a group of 7 and everyone loved what they ordered. We ate in the room on the right inside due to rain outside. Our server, Miller, was excellent - very responsive - we thank you! We went on a Sunday and the restaurant was very quiet. Not sure if this is the same on a busy evening.
We highly recommend this restaurant!
The choices at this restaurant are good & being gluten free it's so important when the items are pre-marked on the menu. We got there early & were able to sit outside which was quiet & comfortable. Only issue was were hoping to try the wings as an appetizer & they were out of them. That was a disappointment. Our waiter was very helpful & guided us well on or meal choices. Over all a good dining experience.
Food is excellent always !! Since the 2 restaurants came together the menu is great and reasonable . Recommend it and if u go on the early side ( before 8) it's not noisy !!
Food was good, server was very pleasant and knowledgable, but service was slow thoughts. Slow taking drink order, food was very slow coming out.
all the salads lloked good, the kale caeser was excellent, generous protions
Great food, OK service, can always get a reservation. Don't understand why this restaurant is not more popular.
GOOD AND BAD Place FOR A GROUP, THE MENU HAS THE STANDARD ITALIAN FARE AT REASONABLE PRICES (FOR dEL rEY). THE PROBLEM I HAVE HOWEVER IS THE VARIANCE IN FOOD PRICES MAKE IT HARD FOR A GROUP TO SELF POLICE SO EACH PERSON GETS A MEAL FOR ABOUT THE SAME COST AS EACH OTHER. I WOULD GET RID OF THE 40 DOLLAR SPECIALS AND KEEP THE PRICE IN THE HIGH TEENS TO MID 20'S
A little loud but no complaints about the food . Server was ok, would return.
It was ok there was there was about 11 of us in one room.. Talked about packed. I got there waited the guy told me about 25 mins and never came back. After I saw him setting others I had to ask what was going on to get seated. From there it was ok. They don't service dessert.. But it was good experience but wouldn't do it again at least not there.. Won't say it's worth it.. Based on the experience... Wasn't the best experience.... Expected a lot more.
We had eaten here a few years ago and were pleased with the white tablecloth atmosphere, service, food and value. Since the transition to a "Pizzeria Motif" the atmosphere and ambiance have lost luster; the waitress, though pleasant, was unfamiliar with the menu and had difficulty answering general questions; and, while the food was acceptable, the price for cocktails and entrees was much too high, e.g., veal parm @ $34 which did not come with any pasta or other sides. We will not be returning.
Have been here many times and as usual our meal was wonderful. Miller is the best server ever and we look forward to seeing him each time we go. The restaurant is lucky to have such a special employee.
cool little place-- interesting dishes and venue-- great friendly staff
Compared to the other restaurants in the area, I would not try again as we had basically the same experience last year. Although the service was excellent, the food was just OK and lacks ambient interest.
Service was fair. Had to wait for wine and ask for bread. Asked us to sit at the bar when only 3 tables were occupied. (We had a reservation). Shrimp and calamari old and fishy. Sauce was thick and tasteless. Lobster ravioli fishy and sauce was so thick you could stand a fork up in it. The stacked chicken and eggplant park was old and the sauce was inedible. Needs a new chef and mgr.
We requested an outside table and were prepared to wait the 15 minutes that was predicted. After 30 minutes we had to point out two tables that could be pushed together to accommodate us. Orders were taken and 20 minutes later when 1 of our three appetizers were delivered, we were informed that 2 of the main dishes ordered were no longer available. One hour and 10 minutes later, our food was brought to us after several complaints about how long it was taking. Manager was very defensive and unapologetic. Coffee and desert were offered as an apology by the waiter but obviously we were not interested in sitting any longer. Small accommodation on the bill but we will not be returning or recommending even though the food was decent.
Kitchen is really slow , but waiter was attentive . Food was ok. Atmosphere was really nice. Not noisy and easy to have conversations. We dined .
Appetizers were excellent food delicious
such good food - wish the restaurant was more popular - always worried they won't make it - can't go wrong with the white truffle oil pizza and the eggplant stack
enjoyed the eggplant stack and my husband enjoyed his fish.
Our party of 7 made reservation online through open table, many other places were booked. I called to confirm and everything was in order. Upon arrival we were given choice of sitting in the back dinning room which was very elegant and perfect for a large group or sitting out on the patio. We choose the back room and were seating right away, tables had nice linens, the decor was modern chic and a quite atmosphere (until we arrived). Everyone enjoyed their meals and we left feeling very satisfied. Prices were reasonable and food was excellent. I would return and recommend to others.
Value was not there for their New Year's Eve price fixe menu. Very expensive per person which would have been fine if their was more for the money. We chose this restaurant for New Years based on the menu and what we got were some basic Italian dishes. In no way shape or form is chicken Parmesan worth $68!!! Past that my grandmother had her entree spilled on her. Accidents happen so I don't so much blame that as much as the way it happened. A server should never hand someone a plate for dinner. It should always be placed in front of them. If you can't reach them from where you are, walk around the table and place the food in front of them. Anyways I wouldn't rule this place out for a normal night out but it was a flop for New Year's Eve!
One the nicest patios is Delray. Quiet, cozy and serene. Food was delicious. Will be back.
Very nice that it's convienent to Atlantic Ave, but not on it. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had both small plate items and full entree. Everything was very good. Next time we go to the Arts Garage, across the street, we will take some of the small plate items with us for dinner. We sat in the courtyard with our small dog this time and we all enjoyed it!
Imagine a bar on a Saturday night with no Johnnie Walker Black and no Captain Morgan rum. Not a great way to start a dining experience.
THINK TRAIN TRACKS WITH THE TRAIN HORNS A BLOW'IN IN THE WIND, MY FRIENDS.
EXTREMELY DARK INSIDE AND DARK AND DEAD OUTSIDE, EXCEPT FOR THE DRUMS POUNDING
FROM SOMEWHERE. NEVER COULD EAT ( THE FOOD MIGHT BE GREAT, DON'T KNOW) WITH ALL THAT GOING ON.
FIRST TIME THERE AND THAT WILL BE A BIRTHDAY TO REMEMBER
Reservations were made via Open Table. A courtesy call was made by the establishment. Confirmation was made. When we arrived, the host said there was no reservation but sat us anyway inasmuch as there were plenty open spots. The host was perfunctory and unconcerned when I told him that the reservation was made through Open Table.
