Appetizers were excellent food delicious
such good food - wish the restaurant was more popular - always worried they won't make it - can't go wrong with the white truffle oil pizza and the eggplant stack
enjoyed the eggplant stack and my husband enjoyed his fish.
Our party of 7 made reservation online through open table, many other places were booked. I called to confirm and everything was in order. Upon arrival we were given choice of sitting in the back dinning room which was very elegant and perfect for a large group or sitting out on the patio. We choose the back room and were seating right away, tables had nice linens, the decor was modern chic and a quite atmosphere (until we arrived). Everyone enjoyed their meals and we left feeling very satisfied. Prices were reasonable and food was excellent. I would return and recommend to others.
Value was not there for their New Year's Eve price fixe menu. Very expensive per person which would have been fine if their was more for the money. We chose this restaurant for New Years based on the menu and what we got were some basic Italian dishes. In no way shape or form is chicken Parmesan worth $68!!! Past that my grandmother had her entree spilled on her. Accidents happen so I don't so much blame that as much as the way it happened. A server should never hand someone a plate for dinner. It should always be placed in front of them. If you can't reach them from where you are, walk around the table and place the food in front of them. Anyways I wouldn't rule this place out for a normal night out but it was a flop for New Year's Eve!
One the nicest patios is Delray. Quiet, cozy and serene. Food was delicious. Will be back.
Very nice that it's convienent to Atlantic Ave, but not on it. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had both small plate items and full entree. Everything was very good. Next time we go to the Arts Garage, across the street, we will take some of the small plate items with us for dinner. We sat in the courtyard with our small dog this time and we all enjoyed it!
Imagine a bar on a Saturday night with no Johnnie Walker Black and no Captain Morgan rum. Not a great way to start a dining experience.
THINK TRAIN TRACKS WITH THE TRAIN HORNS A BLOW'IN IN THE WIND, MY FRIENDS.
EXTREMELY DARK INSIDE AND DARK AND DEAD OUTSIDE, EXCEPT FOR THE DRUMS POUNDING
FROM SOMEWHERE. NEVER COULD EAT ( THE FOOD MIGHT BE GREAT, DON'T KNOW) WITH ALL THAT GOING ON.
FIRST TIME THERE AND THAT WILL BE A BIRTHDAY TO REMEMBER
Reservations were made via Open Table. A courtesy call was made by the establishment. Confirmation was made. When we arrived, the host said there was no reservation but sat us anyway inasmuch as there were plenty open spots. The host was perfunctory and unconcerned when I told him that the reservation was made through Open Table.
Shrimp Calamari excellent. The best deboned half chicken ever. Great atmosphere in the bar area. Will try the pizza next time. Bar cocktails were ok for $12, nothing special. Expected more for that drink price. Service was good.
This was our second time at this place in two months. Our first experience was excellent we thought we would return. The food was wonderful but our waiter was the worst. At first he was in a rush to get us to order and when we asked for a few minutes, he went away never to return. We had to ask the owner to get him back. Then he seem upset that his boss had to come get him. We would have probably spent more money on drinks but we couldn't place any orders. A savings for us, a loss for the owner and the waiter's tip.
Under staffed, service extremely slow. Food quality just okay. Had to send back chicken as it was dry, potatoes cold and tasteless. Would not recommend
We visited this restaurant (5 of us) for a birthday celebration. Everyone agreed that the service was great (Mark was our waiter) and the food , absolutely delicious. We ate in the small room which was charming. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and have actually already done so. We all loved it.
I thought this was the "old" Solita! I can't imagine this place lasting too much longer. Especially with all the other options in the area. Used to be one of my faves! Don't waste your time! I won't be back!
Stop in for an late lunch/early dinner after walking the Avenue. Got there just as they opened at 5PM. Had a wonderful time. An hour later we would have been waiting on line.
What an awesome night at Solita! We came in as a group of 8 for a meeting, and we had the best time. All of the women were impressed by the space, our server was attentive and wonderful, and the food was to die for! I had a Mr. Red, and it reminded me of a spritz at happy hour in Florence. We could not have been happier. Definitely go to solita for your next gathering or dinner.
We dined at Solita 2 times in 1 week! Our waiter was extremely attentive and knowledgable and the food was delicious. We shared most of our plates so had the opportunity to taste everything. Nothing disappointed. The eggplant stack was great. Definitely recommend and will return. Great hospitality. The staff made us feel appreciated and welcomed.
Not very attentive service. Servers didn't spend much time serving. They were also slow.
The food was tasty and the "eggplant stack" is a really good dish.
We loved the beautifully decorated quiet dining room! The service was wonderful. The waiter was extremely attentive to our needs. I had some dietary restrictions which they accommodated well, The waiter recommended some wonderful wine that was not on the menu. He came back and checked on us to ensure that we enjoyed our wine and our meal. Ambience was beautiful ,A dark romantic room with five unique chandeliers and black velvet drapery
The food was amazing. And they prepared a little room for me and my 9 girlfriends. It was a perfect spot! Service was also really good! I'm definetely coming back.
The Fine Dining section was empty so we were invited to sit in the bar area. There was some bar business which dispersed fairly quickly. We were offered both menus. The Veal Milanese appeared to be made from ground veal(?) with the breading overly fried. Not very appetizing.
We have been to this restaurant several times. Each time it seems to be fading more. The food has been much better in the past. Don't expect to return there.
Food was great, the service even better. I will surely return…
The eggplant stack, calamari, and veal chops (Milanese or Parmesan) are excellent dishes.
We ordered a second eggplant stack (2 as appetizers).
Even our waiter was outstanding. In my reservation request I said we had tickets at Arts Garage at 7:30 and needed to be out on time. The waiter was aware of that and kept things moving right on time. All six of us would definitely go back there.
Great pizza, meatballs and Octopus salad. We sat on the casual side of SoLita, it has two. Kids and adults both enjoyed. We will not hesitate to return the next time we are in Delray.
We went for dinner on Friday night. They had happy hour in the bar area and it was very crowded and very noisy. We were offered another area that appeared luxurious but we chose to eat outside. It was very comfortable and the waiters were very attentive. The food was good.
Food was amazing, Damien our server was the best, definitely recommend to everyone to go and try.
The food was amazing. I came for my seventeenth birthday, and checked out the menu prior to coming to make sure there was food for all my friends to enjoy. I was planning on ordering the frute di mare, but my waiter miller said that on the website the wrong menu was posted. :( he said he could ask the chefs to whip it up for me as a birthday meal, and so they did. To my demise, I did not know until the check came that this special meal was going to be THIRTY SIX DOLLARS!!!!! I should've been informed it would be that insane price! I also asked for a cute birthday dessert but was told it wasn't allowed:(. Also, I ate in the private dining room and the live music was so loud I found myself yelling to my friends so they could hear me. Other than that my meal was fantastic!
Busy the night we were there. The waiter was great, but the manager seemed preoccupied with the other activities and nobody greeted us for a while when we first arrived. Not a big deal, but could have been a better experience with a little better customer service. Food was fantastic and the small plates on the Mastino side are great for sharing.
