    An outstanding evening at Sole. My wife and so celebrated our 30th anniversary and we had a fantastic time. Our server Rebecca did a superb job and the food was incredible.

    We were looking forward to the meal after reading the reviews. Just a few little bits let it down- bread was offered at the beginning but there were no butter knives on the side plates so we had to use starter knife; no additional bread was offered during the starter despite one of the dishes being chowder; skin on the seabass wasn’t crisp. Apart from that everything was nice rather than delicious. Very generous amounts of fish and the early bird menu was good value.

    Our experience in Sole restaurant was exceptional from start to finish. The level of attention to detail is out of this world we couldn't recommend Sole enough. Highly recommended and a truly memorable experience. Sublime

    Food was good but the service was quite lacking. Took a while after we were seated for a water to come by with menus. That was the first of many times when we had to wait too long for service.

    Staff were very nice and friendly and helpful. Food was average to good. Wine over priced. Table was good but only after we asked to change as originally we were seated at high chairs as in a bar stool type area.

    Nice atmosphere but the food is pretty expensive for what actually ends up on the plate….kind of bland and one of us was sick a few hours after having the catch of the day (hake). Service was ok but quite slow between courses. Friendly staff though. Just meh.

    Fabulous service from Jesus! I am gluten free and they went through exactly what they could adapt for me which is all I ever want. The ingredients list was clear and easy to understand. Good choice of wines as well. Ate here last time in Dublin as well and will definitely choose to eat here the next time we are visiting The Emerald Isle.

    I was disappointed with the food, as I had heard great reviews about Sole. I ordered a prawn cocktail for starters, which consisted of 5 prawns on a bed of ice and a bland marie rose sauce. The main was monkfish, which again was bland and nothing to be excited about. Side order of fries was disappointing too. My friend ordered the fish and chips - the batter was too heavy and greasy and the dish was not very tasty. Very mediocre food experience. Disappointing for the price.

    We came to Sole for a special occasion and it was an excellent choice. The interior is gorgeous and matches the high standard of everything else. The service was absolutely top notch, our sever was Jesus, but we were also served by Cris and other staff members, everyone was professional and friendly. My only small criticism was that the lobster could use even a small side of veg, because the chips were a bit underwhelming. Overall Sole was an amazing experience!

    The restaurant was indeed bustling however the service , whilst appearing to be well staffed was disappointing in general. One main meal appearing before the other one with a time lag for its arrival. Second main meal whilst served on a hot dish, was luke warm. Had to be reheated as waiting for the offer of a freshly cooked replacement would have meant first diner would have been finished etc Prawn cocktail - really strange presentation.... basically king prawns balancing precariously in a small dish filled with ice. Marie rose sauce in a small class jar. Not what I consider to be a prawn cocktail - a deconstructed version for sure! This version needs to be advised upon in the menu description. Overall, a disappointing visit in comparison to previous dining experiences in Sole, however will chalk this one up as a one off experience on this occasion.

    The food was definitely overrated. Service was very slow - it was a very busy night. I felt they should have had more staff. My wife had monkfish which was very over cooked. We have had much better seafood in Galway and other restaurants around Ireland.

    We visited SOLE on our last day in Dublin, Ireland. We quickly regretted not finding this restaurant when we first arrived. It was very pricey but worth it. From starters to desserts it was delicious. Definitely a must visit for great seafood!

    The food was amazing but VERY overpriced. My wife ordered a whole sole filleted table side and received a very small portion of sole already filleted (in the kitchen) for 59.00 Euro. I ordered a filet steak which was also very well cooked and delicious. Again, tasty but overpriced.

    The food was amazing, so incredibly fresh and flavourful! Our entire experience was brilliant, from having Kasia (our server) who was so enthusiastic and engaging, to every aspect of our meal where each bite simply melted and we got to experience an explosion of flavours with each dish. Highly recommend!

    Really enjoyed our meal n Sole restaurant..: from the moment we arrived the staff were so attentive…. They changed our table to a window seat which was so nice….. it was comfortable and the ambience was lively. It was very busy with a mix of clients. Our waiter Wally was very helpful. The food was fresh and really tasty… I had scallops for starters and sea bass for mains… delicious. My friend had Howth smoked salmon and steak which tasted terrific and melted in the mouth. We went for an early bird but did supplements. Overall worth the visit and a great experience.
