Great service and food
We had a terrible experience Christmas day. Terrible service, no beer om tap, and limited bottle beer. Water yelling at the bartender our order. Bread was old. We paid for our drinks and left at 40 minutes of waiting.
The food was delicious. The service was good. Very pricey though. The draw back was the table placement. When we walked in we noticed that it was very very cold. People were sitting at their tables with coats on! Our table was placed close to the door and every time it opened a big gust of wind came in. Very very uncomfortable! We should have requested another table as it wasn't busy at all and there were other tables available away from the door. We couldn't enjoy our dinner. We couldn't wait to leave. Won't be going back.
We went here for Christmas Day, it was the brunch
Seems it could be really good but the set up seemed disorganised, service was slow. Not very attentive to cleaning utensils used to get the food and the food was not very hot.
All said and done we will not be doing it again
Dined there for Christmas Day Brunch. Food and service was excellent. Food stations were well maintained. Will do this again!
We came back for Christmas brunch after a great eating experience on Thanksgiving. Sincere hospitality, many choices of food, quiet (but not dead) atmosphere and good value for the price (especially if you can get the Senior Discount!). Buffets were well-spaced and there was plenty of choice for almost every age and cuisine choice. Made-to-order omelets and waffles. My only complaint was that the items in the steam tables seemed to be room temperature by the time I dug into them. (Maybe I dawdled too long over the other choices, maybe they needed to keep those items at a higher temp.) ... and did I mention the complimentary mimosas with the meal? :-)
Went for xmas eve dinner. Excellent food. Nice, semi-quiet, relaxed atmosphere, pretty setting and views, and clean all around. Very good libations too. Price seems right for the experience.
Greet seating, good food, free parking. The staff were excellent.
Very attentive service and food was delicious.
Wondering experience with a group of friends. They accommodated 7 of us with ease. Great service overall. They only downfall was that bfast ends before 11, but being in a hotel I understand that. So had a delic mushroom risotto. Everyone had a great time!
Our server was extremely pleasant, courteous, and helpful. We reserved for 12 but only 10 showed up. It was lovely and we enjoyed ourselves.
Great atmosphere, different place for breakfast. Really conform seats. Excellent coffee
We went on Thanksgiving. Very busy, was a buffet dinner with several food items that were out on the food line. Could have uses more wait staff for the number of tables
Went to venue for Thanksgiving dinner Buffett and it was horrible. The food was cold, the stations were not clean nor were they stocked in a timely manner. Table service was decent.
Nice environment, quiet and live piano was an added bonus
Never thought I'd eat Thanksgiving in a hotel restaurant but due to a family emergency, it was the only place to get a last minute reservation. Selection of food was good, but served buffet style, it was not warm enough for my taste. Under normal circumstances, I think we would have had a better review, but we agreed that the meal was not as bad as we anticipated.
I can only comment on Thanksgiving dinner at Solarium and I'll never do that again. The service was mostly non-existent. We were seated next to a low divider separating us from the hotel check-in on basic banquet chairs, while other diners sat on soft fancy comfortable chairs. The food was mostly cold and bland. The only thing worth eating was the pumpkin cheesecake. Honestly would have been better off at Denny's.
Good food, great variety, and service was very nice.
We had made reservations but the hosting staff still tried to seat the 2 of us at a bistro table (like THAT is going to be big enough for Thanksgiving dishes!) . When they saw that this wasn't appropriate, they quickly erased our assigned table assignment and put us at a 4-top. The front desk host tried with another couple, too, without success. Meanwhile, in a different dining area, singles were sitting at large tables alone. TRAIN YOUR STAFF!
On the other hand, the food was well-prepared, and thoughtfully labeled to fit a variety of food/allergy challenges. There were A LOT of choices and everything that I nibbled on exceeded expectations.
It was a great value for the price ($44 for seniors) .
Hard to believe on Thanksgiving but THERE WERE NO LINES AROUND THE BUFFET TABLES! We were able to zip around as fast (or as slowly) as we wanted without inconveniencing anyone or watching our food grow cold on our plates as we waited for our turn.
Dining tables were set up in several rooms so we felt like were were having an "intimate dining experience" not "chowing down in the food hall."
We'll be back.
great brunch menu, nice service, really good brunch buffet.
Food was decent. Would definitely recommend lamb lollipops and dessert. Eating in the lobby of the Hilton is pretty cool and it seemed really open so I felt comfortable eating. The staff was really great too. Very attentive and friendly. Went for an early dinner so it wasn’t crowded
Seattle Restaurant Week. They were out of chocolate cake, but the food was very good!
Food was quite good, and we were here during restaurant week so got great value, but the service was honestly awful. The restaurant was relatively full but not overly so, and everything took too long; being seated, getting menus, having our order taken, etc. etc. When we were attended to, the waiter was rushed, very abrupt, and distracted. Hope they can get things figured out!
We did not realize that this restaurant is in the main lobby of the hotel. The first 20 minutes of our date we were listening to a person vacuuming very close by. The food was ok but not worth the price.
A friend and I went for live jazz which we thoroughly enjoyed! I really liked my appetizer (kung pao cauliflower), dessert (red velvet cake) and drink (seasonal pumpkin mimosa), but the burger was too oniony for my taste and a bit dry. My friend got flatbread pizza and key lime tart which were very good. She also got the scallops but there were only 2. She was a little disappointed by that. Beautiful ambiance. Service was exceptional. Can be a bit chilly by the door so bring a jacket.
The entire hotel lost their water. The boiler went down
Really impressed with this restaurant. It is a hidden gem in Bellevue. The food has been perfect every time as I have had to come 5 times in the past month for travel. A little patience goes a long way right now snd the staff has been super kind and thoughtful every single time. Impressed with the menu and what I have ordered multiple times now. Definitely a place to check out if in town or staying at the Hilton.
On a record day of heat; this restaurant was extremely hot - customers were fanning themselves with menus. There were two servers for the whole restaurant. I’d made a reservation, but nobody checked; which was disappointing because I’d made a note about it being my parents 40th wedding anniversary. We left before eating to no fault of the overworked server; it was just too hot and uncomfortable to enjoy the atmosphere.
This was an absolute disaster. Rude service, spoiled coffee cream, no coffee until over 30 minutes after sitting down, problems finding our reservation, forgot multiple requests, server laughed hysterically about forgetting stuff, didn’t have what I ordered… it goes on from there. Just a mess.
Its not a reataurant. Its a lobby bar and food area in a Hilton lobby. I didnt get to eat anything at all. Made a reservation for whole family and called approx one hour prior to confirm our arrival and inform them that we may be 15 min late due to traffic. No one picked ip byt the messenging system specifically said to leave a message which I did. The reservation was 7:30 and we arrived after a 40 mile drive at 7:45 as I told them on the phone message only to be told that the kitchen is closing early at 8 pm. If you are closing at 8 pm then why did you allow a reservation at 7:30 pm, and if there was a change of closing time then at least have the courtesy of calling me to inform me of cancellation, right? I know its difficult due to staffing from the residual effect of the pandemic, but in a hospitality business such basic courtesy is expected. Therefoe, I did NOT taste the food at all so pls I would try and reserve the comments to the services alone.
It was really a great experience! Staff are bice
We drove 30 mins from Seattle. We are from out of town and the server a wasn’t very attentive. He was too busy setting up other tables and doing his side work. Wasn’t great experience
Overall, it was okay but nothing great. If I were staying at the hotel and didn’t want to leave then it makes sense but certainly not something that I would seek out... again. The most positive experience here was our server.
I don’t know why a reservation was needed for this place. No host to meet, staff in general very laissez-faire. Reservation “requirement” deceptively elevated this venue. Pretty much open seating policy. I could sit directly next to someone or not.
We really enjoyed the food and the service. We could talk and hear each other and will definitely be back.
Mother’s Day brunch was lovely.
The food was amazing!
To be fair, we went on Mother's Day. But nothing in the website/Open Table said anything about a buffet. I wanted the the menu I saw on the website - but there was a lot of heavy salt foods ( a lot of foods!) at $60 a person without any notice of this to me, despite indicating that it was not only Mother's Day - but my 60th birthday. I was sat in a table in a banquet hall with no windows or ventilation. Our server, Pat, was friendly, but only came by twice to provide beverage. Lots of tables around left uncleared. Food was meh - may try again for a regular meal - but I was so disappointed. It was the first time I got my mom (84) out to eat inside since COVID.
Incredibly impressive Mother's Day Brunch.
We've had some amazing Sunday brunch buffet experiences (The Pan Pacific in Vancouver BC and Paradise Inn on Mount Rainier come to mind). The scale, variety, quality and presentation of this brunch at Solarium was in that league. Extremely well done.
The variety of options at this buffet was too big to list off (besides I couldn't possibly remember them all).
They had the traditional carving station with the additional twist of lamb in addition to the typical prime rib and ham.
The seafood options included all manner of shellfish and seafood (including a very nice chowder).
The dessert table was massive with an amazing variety of sweet treats; if you saved any room.
The brunch buffet was amazing. Our service overall was great. They were seating some people in event rooms that weren’t in the beautiful open dining area. They originally sat us there. We ended up getting moved to a cozier table in the regular dining area and had a lovely time. It was a little difficult to get our check, it took 30 min to flag someone down. We were being leisurely though so it wasn’t a huge deal.
