SOL Mexican Cocina - Denver
Always enjoy my experience here. Good for lunch, dinner or even just drinks! Must get the loaded quac!!
Service was fantastic and food was cooked to perfection! Margaritas were fresh, if not a bit limey. Looking forward to going back soon.
The food and service was great. They did a great job at social distancing too.
Love Sol! Great food, service and atmosphere!
I have tried Sol now several times and well - their food just isn't good. Had a torta and it actually had a bad flavor. Not just bland but kind of gross. Person I was eating with had a different one which was also bad - ribeye was almost too tough to bite through.
Staff is nice and drinks at night are good but don't go for food
I always have a great experience at Sol Cocina, the food has been great each time. Well flavored and unique, can finding any type of meal for everyone. The drinks-blackberry ginger margarita is my favorite and the elote is the best! The servers are always so kind and helpful.
Great location. Spacious and fun atmosphere. Well organized for Covid-19. Server and service were great.
Honestly, I could not have asked for a better dining experience, especially during covid. Our table was distanced plenty from nearby tables, our waiter was wonderful...attentive, but not pushy, and the food was outstanding!
Michael was great!
Absolutely love SOL Cocina. They have great happy hour deals and a good Taco Tuesday menu!
Everyone felt like they couldn't be bothered on the afternoon I was there.
My reserved table for 4 was set for 3 and no one bothered to get me another chair.
I sat for 10 minutes without any silverware. It was too cold to be advertised as a heated patio... and I called my friends and cancelled our reservation. AND, one would think my taco would have been complimentary...but I paid for it. I am done with Sol for a while...maybe I will visit again in the summer.
Great food and an accommodating atmosphere for the COVID restrictions.
Like all other restaurants right now, SOL is trying to do the best they can with the situation. The tent they set up for outdoor dining is nice, although the number of heaters used to heat the space could be significantly increased. We sat next to the one heater blower, but we were still a bit chilly. But overall, they provided a great experience. The wait staff was awesome and the food was delicious.
Cold in tent, service a little slow, but food amazing!!
The staff did exceptionally well with keeping food and drinks on time while walking in and out of the cold. Very pleased with everyone’s service at Sol, especially during covid!
The food and drinks are always delicious and well worth every penny.
Really good food, the burrito was outstanding. The shrimp appetizer excellent and margaritas very nice. Great Restraunt and doing lot's to help during COVID. Very clean and taking every precaution.
It was a bit chilly but the food abs service was awesome
Safe, warm & delicious!
Cold in the tent
The food is really good and the lunch portions are huge.
We have very good time and the staff is working really hard getting and serving food from inside to the outside dining area. They are very cheerful and awesome
We ate outside in the tent and sat next to the open door which made it very cold since it was only around 25 degrees outside. The food and service were wonderful.
Too cold to sit in the open tent. Took our food and drinks to go. Food was great. The margaritas we terrible. Ordered blackberry and ginger and it was sour and could only taste line. Undrinkable. $15 down the drain.
Worst service ever! The waiter didn't even know what was and the Menu. We asked what the vegetarian side dish consisted of and she said " I don't know, it's a typo". Like if you don't know. Go ask. We still called and complained and got hung up on. Well thanks for great customer service 😒. I will surely never go back
Professional Service and Amazing Food! Highly recommend!
Best outdoor dining experience in Cherry Creek. Nice and Warmer than expected! Food was great and so was the service.
The food is as great as all the other reviews say.
Authentic (w/ some twists, like the calamari), delicious, quick, and were much bigger portions than expected. Given the restrictions, the outdoor tent is comfortably heated and spacious.
What really sets them apart is they really care about the customer experience and will go out of their way to make the meal special.
The manager, Matt, personally delivered our food to check on us. Our waitress, Meghan, recommended both food and drink ideas that matched exactly what we were looking for, and the back waiters/host staff are super accommodating.
Plus you walk around the lighted streets of Cherry Creek after👌🏼
The food here is always exceptional.
Service wasn't very good.
Our Favorite Mexican Restuarant. We are glad they remain open during the pandemic and wish them all the best.
The original waiter never returned - but the one who finally replaced him was great. Food drink and prices are very good. Unfortunately my friend and I could hardly hear each other over the table of ladies not far from us. During COVID no one should be talking so loudly. That’s how droplets are spread. Not from eating and drinking but from LOUD talking. Very unkind. Something to remember when we finally will be able to dine at restaurants again.
Raina our server was great. There when we needed her. Great valued happy hour. Good food. I’m planning to return next month. Can’t wait to try out the tent dining!
My husband and I love this place. They have interesting Mexican ingredient inspired dishes as well as traditional ones. We particularly love the Coconut Calamari and the Ceviche.
The food and ambience were great. The service was good except for one thing. We were told upon arrival that there was an hour and a half time limit. That was fine, but we were not keeping track of time so when we were asked if we wanted another drink we said yes. Then about 5 minutes later we were asked to leave, so we didn't even get to finish. I wish that the waitress would have let us know how much time was left as that would have changed our decision.
Good food . Nice atmosphere.
I think our server has had better days. Both of our orders were incorrect and we asked for the manager to stop by and the manager never came by. We will try SOL again because we have typically had good experiences. I think it was our server on this visit.
Love the ambiance, decor, staff, location.... the only thing missing is the food. Other dishes I've had here have been great, but the burrittos serious lack 1 thing: flavor.
I found the ingredients to be fresh and well presented, but the sauces lack any interesting qualities. I felt like I was eating low calorie health food.
We went there on Sunday night and they allowed to have 25% capacity because of the covid,so they have 90 min limit for a table which is understandable but doesn’t work for people who wants to spend a few hours there. The food and cocktail what I had was great. I had frozen mango margarita, grilled corn which was great and chicken quesadilla.
Thanks.
Great time.
Food was just okay. 1 dish was served cold. Overall, decent but did not meet/exceed expectations. Good margaritas.
Had a reservation but didn’t sit until 30 minutes later but just a sign of the times
Great happy hour menu and prices, fun ambiance and great service. Will definitely be back often!
