SOL Mexican Cocina - Denver
The food is as great as all the other reviews say.
Authentic (w/ some twists, like the calamari), delicious, quick, and were much bigger portions than expected. Given the restrictions, the outdoor tent is comfortably heated and spacious.
What really sets them apart is they really care about the customer experience and will go out of their way to make the meal special.
The manager, Matt, personally delivered our food to check on us. Our waitress, Meghan, recommended both food and drink ideas that matched exactly what we were looking for, and the back waiters/host staff are super accommodating.
Plus you walk around the lighted streets of Cherry Creek after👌🏼
The food here is always exceptional.
Service wasn't very good.
Our Favorite Mexican Restuarant. We are glad they remain open during the pandemic and wish them all the best.
The original waiter never returned - but the one who finally replaced him was great. Food drink and prices are very good. Unfortunately my friend and I could hardly hear each other over the table of ladies not far from us. During COVID no one should be talking so loudly. That’s how droplets are spread. Not from eating and drinking but from LOUD talking. Very unkind. Something to remember when we finally will be able to dine at restaurants again.
Raina our server was great. There when we needed her. Great valued happy hour. Good food. I’m planning to return next month. Can’t wait to try out the tent dining!
My husband and I love this place. They have interesting Mexican ingredient inspired dishes as well as traditional ones. We particularly love the Coconut Calamari and the Ceviche.
The food and ambience were great. The service was good except for one thing. We were told upon arrival that there was an hour and a half time limit. That was fine, but we were not keeping track of time so when we were asked if we wanted another drink we said yes. Then about 5 minutes later we were asked to leave, so we didn't even get to finish. I wish that the waitress would have let us know how much time was left as that would have changed our decision.
Good food . Nice atmosphere.
I think our server has had better days. Both of our orders were incorrect and we asked for the manager to stop by and the manager never came by. We will try SOL again because we have typically had good experiences. I think it was our server on this visit.
Love the ambiance, decor, staff, location.... the only thing missing is the food. Other dishes I've had here have been great, but the burrittos serious lack 1 thing: flavor.
I found the ingredients to be fresh and well presented, but the sauces lack any interesting qualities. I felt like I was eating low calorie health food.
We went there on Sunday night and they allowed to have 25% capacity because of the covid,so they have 90 min limit for a table which is understandable but doesn’t work for people who wants to spend a few hours there. The food and cocktail what I had was great. I had frozen mango margarita, grilled corn which was great and chicken quesadilla.
Food was just okay. 1 dish was served cold. Overall, decent but did not meet/exceed expectations. Good margaritas.
Had a reservation but didn’t sit until 30 minutes later but just a sign of the times
Great happy hour menu and prices, fun ambiance and great service. Will definitely be back often!
2 words: TACO TUESDAY! 🤩
What a great meal and value. Plus, the margaritas were quite tasty as well!
Outstanding, fresh, delectable eats and drinks. Going back soon.
Best Mexican food in Denver! I loved our server, she helped us with our choices and our drinks!
Best Mexican food I have in Denver.
Wonderful service and best Tuesday for Latin fare.
Lovely atmosphere, and great cuisine.
Service was pretty bad. Took forever to get my drinks and my app came after we finished dinner
SOOO GOOD! & the atmosphere was amazing! The ceviche with fruit in it was delicious
I always get the blue corn with short rib. The server said you were out of blue corn shells but that it would still be corn. Was not a corn shell very flimsy flour tortilla and the dish was not the same at all. It was still ok but this is the first time I have not been satisfied. It just wasn’t the same at all. Didn’t even look that great or appetizing so I was surprised. I get the same thing every time. It was a disappointment.
Really great food and cocktails and friendly service.
Really nice ambience and loved the live music. The taco Tuesday pricing is great. The food was decent. We really enjoyed the octopus and the duck but there was an overload of strange flavors in the sauce that came with the duck taco and the peel and eat shrimp. I really enjoyed the steak taco with shrimp. I would for sure come back from drinks and the ambience and a simple taco.
The food was amazing and the jalapeño cucumber marg was unreal
First time visiting SOL. Good food and comfortable atmosphere.
Overall not great. Service was all over the place, food was not good, and the ambiance is a bit weird.
Felt safe and comfortable with guest spacing, friendly staff, delicious food! Just on the expensive side of things, but worth it.
Great service! Outdoor dining was nice and comfy for our small group! Will be back!
Sol was wonderful, my husband and I had a delightful time sitting outside on a fabulous Fall evening. Our waiter, Rudy, made our dinner wonderful. He was informative about the menu and had great advise about what to order. He was spot on with entree and drinks.
We applaud Rudy for all his attention and great care in serving us. Great place!
Outstanding food and service.
Good happy hour
The tortilla on my burrito was so tough I could not even cut it. I took out the insides and left the tortilla. There was something purple inside that was not chewable. It was almost like cloth. The margarita was more expensive than most places and it was full of ice and almost no liquid.
Sol Cocina is always a great choice! They have awesome service and great food. Tuesdays have specials all eve which allow you to try many different favorites. Lots of different taco's. The chicken quesadilla is definitely big enough to share. Really great guacamole too. The servers are attentive and make sure your drinks stay fresh.
Great to have another upscale Mexican restaurant to choose from, something a cut above fast casual. Great location, atmosphere, and menu. Food was super-fresh and well presented. Will become a go-to place for us.
Clean and nice. We sat outside (bring a jacket). Great food.
Booked an inside table, called during the day to confirm inside table, when we arrived there was no inside tables. Were moved to the bar as no table available. Long wait for initial greet. No tequila list at a tequila bar and bartender didn't really know products as was tasting them after serving them to us. Ordered naked Guacamole, it had one chip in it for decoration and no other chips and we received it with no plates or silverware. So we sat there waiting to even ask someone for all three. It was very tasty when we finally enjoyed it. Also tried the Spanish Octopus (which we love) was very chewy and we left more than half of it (very hard to cut with a knife). When we complained were told "it's like that sometimes". No manager visit and no discount.
Great spot in cherry creek! The restaurant was large and they did a good job spreading out tables. I would recommend and go back.
Great guacamole and loved the carnitas Quesadilla...
