We had brunch there this weekend and the food was decent. I will probably not order the breakfast burrito again, it was mostly black beans with a little bit of eggs and avocado-- It should have just been called a bean burrito. The service left a lot to be desired, unfortunately. We sat for about 5 minutes before we were greeted and brought water, even though the bar area was not very busy and there were several servers wandering about. When we were greeted and brought water the server asked if we wanted anything else to drink, my husband ordered coffee and the server forgot. We waited about 10 minutes before we saw her again and flagged her over and we asked if his coffee was on the way. She had forgotten. When she brought it to him it wasn't hot.
We got our food and ate. We finished up and sat there for another good 5 minutes before our server came by to see if we needed boxes and finally brought the check. Overall, the experience left me feeling pretty underwhelmed. We've eaten at several of the restaurants in Cherry Creek and everybody has pretty great and attentive service.
inattentive waitress. The chips were awesome! And so was the salsa. The beans tasted as if someone dropped beer in them.
Our server was friendly and fairly quick. I did have to repeat my order twice because he repeated the wrong order back to me, but nonetheless it came out almost correctly. The food runner dropped off the food and it was missing pork which I asked for. She returned without me asking, about three minutes later with the pork. We also ordered the kids bread putting, so dry! It really needed a side of syrup or something to dip it in.I ordered the chilquiles which were not awful but not awesome. I appreciated the crispiness of the chips, but it came with scrambled eggs. I should’ve asked for an over medium egg, I’m not sure if the menu requires you to specify. We went here because we received a $20 coupon in the mail. The atmosphere was very nice, our server was great too, the food was not awesome. Overall I was satisfied with our experience but likely won’t return. Also, they do not validate parking in the garage, but the website says they do. It cost us five dollars to park. Not a huge deal, it was raining and so parking in the garage was convenient but it was another added expense.
You get black Bean dip, salsa, and massive corn chips so by the time we snacked on those and our queso appetizer (delicious but again WAY too much food) we were totally full. It was disappointing because we wanted to try more of the muni but the portion sizes of these first items was overwhelming. Some people might love big portion but personally we would have preferred to try more things at a smaller size.
Seated 40 minutes after our reservation time and then all servers ignored us for another 20 minutes until I finally complained.
We had 12 people (including 3 kids for Mother's Day). It was the perfect environment and the service was exceptional, not to mention the food. Would recommend this for any occasion for a great ambiance!
Our food was very good. The server was not up to our expectations. He had to be reminded three times to bring more chips so that we could enjoy our guacamole with our drinks. He also refilled our water glasses using a partially used bottle from another table. The worst thing was that I found a piece of plastic in one of my tacos, handed it to the server, and as far as I could tell, he did not call it to a manager’s attention. No manager came to our table about the plastic. That was extremely disconcerting and disappointing. It’s not that we wouldn’t ever return to your restaurant, however, it was not handled properly.
Live music and food were amazing!!
Excellent food and service, nice table nice ambiance
We sat down at a dirty table in the bar area. No one greeted us or anything for quite a while. Finally water and chips and salsa arrived. A little while later a waiter passed by and we asked if we could order. Meanwhile a young girl was playing music on her phone loudly while a woman hired by the restaurant played piano music. The ambience was ruined by the rude young woman who later proceeded to FaceTime with friends loudly for some time. I thought it was music coming through the speakers and thought it was dumb of a restaurant to hire someone to play live music while their speakers blasted other music. We should have left. I did ask the waiter and he informed me that it was not their music but that of a guest’s cell phone. I then asked if the waiter could please take her phone away. Meanwhile our food finally showed up and it was good. This place screams for some management and training. It could be good under proper adult supervision.
Cherry Creek Sneak
The staff made sure I enjoyed my birthday celebration. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Enjoy the restaurant very much.
Consistently a terrific meal with great service. Always enjoy seeing what new taco creations are available. Our go to restaurant when we are in that part of town.
Great food. Higher end Mexican. Active vibrant atmosphere.
While the food was excellent the service was severely lacking. Took over 10 minutes to be greeted. Server came up to us and said “so what are we doing for food”. No introduction, no suggestions, no explanation of menu or concept. Our server Zack seemed very disinterested in serving us and was not happy to be there. There were at least 2 managers on duty maybe 3 none visited the table or others that I saw. Had they, we would have voiced our displeasure. We ordered our shrimp appetizer then ordered entrees. Our entrees arrived within minutes before we were half way through with our appetizer. The female manager that dropped the entrees. didn’t seem to care. No matter how good the food is, when the service is this poor it’s not worth a return trip.
Emily made our experience absolutely perfect. From recommendations to prompt service, it was fantastic!
Easter lunch out with my beautiful family. The food and the live band was great.
I had the chorizo scramble and it was so gross. Even worse, our waitress recommended it. Everything was mushy and I couldn’t even tell what was in it. Our waitress was nice, but rather aloof. She never refilled anything and we had to request everything. Pretty disappointing.
Great family birthday dinner
We waited almost an hour for our food because there was a large party that had to be served. The staff was very apologetic about this. When our food finally arrived I found a short black hair in the center of my egg yolk. It had been covered up with cilantro. It’s a good thing I don’t like cilantro and removed it before starting to eat. Rather than wait another hour for a replacement, I told the manager I would share my friend’s meal. The food was very good but, you guessed it, after eating several bites I found another hair. We were not charged for our meal but, needless to say, I won’t be going back.
Fabulous food and service. The relleno’s were outstanding.
Main dishes were good but side dishes were average.
Slightly upscale Mexican. Good margaritas!
The food here wasn't bad at all. When I think about it, I actually liked the food. What I didnt like was the waiter and how he treated my fiance and I. He was so rude that we pledged to never spend money there agin. The food was a bit overpriced but again wasnt bad, not spectacular but not bad either.
I visit SOL whenever in Denver. Food is always great. Great place to meet up with friends or date night.
great food, great service! Very attentive. Will be back again
Sol has been one of my favorite restaurants since it opened. It took forever to get a drink order in this particular night, but it's usually not a problem. We ended up ordering our drink and meal at the same time. Our waiter seemed extra busy. But it's a cool place with amazing food! I'll keep going back!
Always good and always consistent! Favorite restaurant!!
Wonderful food and company. A visiting friend from Alaska and time to catch up. We both enjoyed all that Sol offered.
Loved the salsa with the Viper Taco. Almost like a mole! Will have to learn to make this. The Shrimp taco dorado was just right to finish off plate of beans & rice
We had a great private room for our book club luncheon. The service and the food were top notch. The calamari is the best in Denver. All the tacos we had were delicious. We will come back soon.
The food was delicious and the staff was so wonderful! I got my plate and forgot to ask for no tomatoes. The wait staff immediately took my plate and brought me new tomato-less food in a timely manner.
We all loved the tortilla chips & salsa! The corn appetizer was fabulous!
First time dining with family in Cherry Creek area and so glad an area resident recommended!
Love it! First time and the food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!
I have given this restaurant 4-5 tries. Nice atmosphere and good service. The food is just bland and unremarkable. Much better Mexican restaurants if you are willing to look around.
We had great service! Our waiter was very helpful with making recommendations and our dinner was great. We will definitely be back.
The food was delicious and the service good. The tacos are hugeeeee. I also really enjoyed the fresh tortilla chips and the salsa.
Gosh I wanted to have a great brunch. Unfortunately everything was poor. The service was awful. Wait 10 minutes for a server wait 15 minutes for a drink. Never did get asked if I wanted a second one. Had to ask for a refill in the chips... which we were devouring as it took forever. The manager (?) who delivered the food, which was a different person then delivered the drinks, which a different person then the waiter. Yeah that kinda disjointed. Anyway when handing the ceviche to the table it sloshed onto the floor. He didn’t wipe it up... didn’t say a word... my shoes smelled great. Ugh. This was my first visit... will be my last.
