Sokai does not disappoint. This was my second time here and I absolutely loved it. Our waiter was very engaging as was the manager. We took the suggestion of our waiter and it was soo good we ordered seconds. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu items and the ingredients that are used. Highly suggest the Lychee Martini and Sake Bloom, two of my favorite drinks on the menu. And the pork belly on masked sweet potatoes, topped with a jalapeno slice. My sister and I our sushi lovers, and we just found our new favorite spot!
Tremendous food and great service
Good experience.. Food was very good
The sushi is amazing! Great with friends or as a family outing with kids.
The food is amazing as always but the service was really lacking today. The hostesses obviously didn’t wipe down the menus before handing them to us because my mother found a rubber band for braces stuck to one of them. Service needs Improvement in terms of wait staff but the food is beyond incredible. Would go again for the food but hope for better service in the future.
Great place for lunch or dinner I enjoy going with my family every weekend and having lunch food is excellent the staff is very courteous and accommodating
Came here for dinner earlyish on a Friday night. Place is a bit pricey. Food was pretty good. Japanese tacos great. Pork steam buns great. I'm from the northeast so this trend of having cream cheese in almost every roll, I think is odd. I asked if they could make just a simple roll. A spicy scallop roll, which where I am from is a pretty common roll. To be fair it wasn't on the menu, though they had all the ingredients to make it. I was told they were too busy and to come back another day and maybe they would be able to make it then. It's not really a big restaurant and not all the tables were full... I'm just not really a big fan of the we could.. but we aren't going to attitude.
Once we got our food, there was no wasabi or ginger so we asked for some, as well as, the dishes to put the soy sauce in and some other sauces. We sat there for about 20 minutes. Finally after several requests we received what we wanted and were able to start eating.
Came for Mother’s Day. This place never disappoints!
It was Tuesday late afternoon so the place was empty.
Food was pretty good, but pricey.
The "Japanese tacos" were extremely tasty, with a good mixture of textures and flavors. Everything we ordered tasted as good as or better than we expected, and the presentation was visually appealing. I could definitely see coming back either for another date night or with kids and out-of-town relatives in tow.
The rolls were very good ; but the lomo saltado was the worst I have ever eaten.
Great service and great food. Our waiter Oscar was awesome
Absolutely love this place. They have a variety of everything & super delicious . Highly recommend it !
Not going back. Had a reservation for 8:00 pm. Left after waiting 20 minutes for our table. Greeter never bothered looking at our reservation made through open table
Nice place for Sushi and Peruvian Food. Enjoyed it, will come back again.
Nice casual dining, great service, Ceviche Causa special was awesome...
Great food and service. Had no issues at all and food came out fast (Friday night). Service was spot on. A bit on the pricey side, but such is life. Will likely go back.
We never get tired of coming here. The sushi is always on point!
This was my second time here and both times I fully enjoyed everything. Our waiter was amazing. Will continue to return
Great sushi great bar great service.
This is the second time that we have dined here, the first time is was a Saturday and they took An hour an half for rolls and chaufa that is basically rice, the second time it was on a Sunday at 8:45 and the restrung was empty the service was terrible again we waited for a roll and the chaufa 1 hour and 15 mins and that was after our appetizer which was ceviche Amarillo was brought wrong Is really a shame cause the food is good and the hostess is very nice And the Restuarant is very pretty but the service and the kitchen has to get it together
We come here all the time and love it every time! Sushi is superb.
Food was delicious especially the Tuna tartar and the rolls. The chaufa was a little bland but otherwise full of chicken and very filling. Our service was great!! And I can't forget the desserts. Thai donuts were sinful! I definitely recommend this restaurant
Drinks were great, food was not all that, sushi was hot, ceviche was ok and rice was not a big deal. All together good was not great at all. I returned my dish...
We were a party of 7 and the service was great. There was a little mess up with one of the plates, but they were quick to correct and the wait time was short. The sushi I ordered was great as well as the rest of the meals that were ordered.
Great place to go.
The sushi was excellent. The Peruvian foods were not as good as expected.
Great food and service. The ceviche and sushi was very tasty
We loved this new restaurant...great addition to the area. Food was of excellent quality! Our server was nice and although she kept forgetting to bring us certain things like water at the beginning, and messed up our bill, overall she was attentive. We all enjoyed our meal and would dine here again.
I got there at 9:40pm. I ended up leaving close to 11pm. The waiter came around every other 20-25min. The Sushi took forever to come out. I ordered two JB tempura rolls. Normally the Salmon is cooked, but in this place they left it uncooked. I was okay with it, but not for my wife since she is pregnant. This is the second location I attend to and same service/experience. The price to food ratio is not reasonable either (8pcs tiny size for $11). I rather go to Sushi Sake, Ohana, Dragonfly or anywhere else, but here. They give you 10-12pcs and are bigger in size for similar price and way better quality than Sokai. This would be my last resort place for Sushi.
Wonderful ambiance coupled with great food and service. Friendly staff and great lychee martinis.
Recently opened in our neighborhood. It was okay. Service was okay. The best thing we had was the fried rice. We did appreciate that the management came over to our table and interacted with the guests.
Had made a reservation, I came 5 mins too late and table was already given away. No call to follow up or anything. Food was nothing special, Chaufa was burnt 1st time around, nearly all the sushi has cream cheese in it........, very 1 toned in flavor as well. AC was dripping on table and into food and service could have improved allot. Don't sit next to door to bathroom and service area.
Drinks were too sweet for my taste and no upsell at all. Overall for the area this is a better improvement but still a long way to go.
This was our third visit to Sokai, and we were once again treated courteously and served quickly. The food is delicious, authentic Peruvian, with creative fusions like the causa ceviche, excellent fried rice, and not-to-be-missed pork belly buns and ceviche rolls. We were so excited we ordered too much food, and nothing disappointed! We'll definitely be back.
A group of friends met to celebrate a birthday. The food was good but the price and portions were way off. 45.00 for 15 little pieces of sashimi is crazy. The cerviche was very good but 15.00 and it was beyond small and very little fish.
There were 6 of us and 3 of us shared and most of us drank water. The bill was well over 200.00 and we were still hungry when we left. The place is beautiful and we had a nice time. I cannot recommend this place because of the portions and price. The food had nice flavor and the service was ok. We had to hunt our server down on a few occasions to get drinks and our bill. Also recommend having a dessert or coffee for birthday person.
Took all the moms in my life for a mother's day lunch. The food was incredible and the service was just as great. The food came out on time and the drinks we ordered were all well made. No complaints what so ever. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was kid friendly.
It was ok. Not somethin
Delicious tacos and rolls! Peruvian and Japanese! Interesting mix. Crunchy Peruvian salted corn on table.
Food delicious. Outside tables face shopping center parking lot. Not so delicious.
So so food. Need to improve service.
Service wasn't the best, but the staff made a good effort to be available and helpful. Noisy like Cheesecake Factory, food was different, and good. Did not care for the salmon floating in a teriyaki sauce, although the salmon was exceptional, or the deep fried spinach surrounding it, very oily, found out I could have requested the salmon on a plate with steamed spinach instead....will know better next time. Would go back and recommend to a friend with lessons learned.
