Great service and food!
Enjoyed the food and drinks very much. The ambiance was great! can’t wait to go back. Service was an A+
Cute date spot. Had a nice romantic feel. Place isn't too big. Good was all very good. Didn't have to wait long. Got a seat right away. And the staff was on point.
The only downside is the seating is very typical of New York. Cram as many seats and tables as you can into your space so getting up to go to the. At broom or letting others pass was a process but the service was fantastic and everything was tried was amazing.
There was such variety and bottles of wine so reasonably priced!
The burrata with the tomato purée was excellent, the strip steak cooked perfectly. We did order too much food haha but even with 7 plates and 2 bottles of wine it was still a reasonable price!
The owner was a wonderful host as well and came by to check on us to make sure everything was perfect.
Will definitely go back!
The food and service at Sojourn is exemplary; however I would recommend it with reservations. The noise level is very loud. The tables are close together and more importantly the aisles are extremely narrow. I stood up to leave and for a second I did not see a clear way to exit because the aisles are so narrow. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was bustling. The servers are extremely attentive, but it leaves one to wonder if that is to ensure that you get in and get out so that the table can be turned over quickly. I would go again but not on a Friday night.
It's a great spot for a date, or a night out. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu.
The host was rude and very obnoxious.
Really enjoyed the food, but the tables are very close together and the restaurant was very noisy on a Saturday night.
We had an excellent dinner for 6 at Sojourn. We ordered a ton of food, probably too much, and ate it all! Everything was fresh and delicious. Something for everyone. We had two kids with us who also loved their meals. Cheese and charcuterie plates were great. Nice sangria. We had a high table in the back of the restaurant which was very nice. Easy to have a conversation despite a packed floor. Highly enjoyable experience.
The Saturday my friend and I went it was extremely crowded. Even though we had reservations, the only available table was right by the door which was freezing. We decided to wait for a better, warmer table, which was better. The meal was delicious and our drinks were fine (and for good value) but the service was almost nonexistent at times, as it was so busy. They also ran out of coffee for our lattes. So maybe this place is better not for brunch ...
My favorite brunch spot in the UES
Great neighborhood restaurant with tasty dishes. Recommend.
Oh my goodness. Best brunch food I’ve had in a minute! Loved. Loved. Loved.
We were seated 15 minutes after the reservation was supposed to start, it took forever to place our order, and the food took a long time to come. I've been to Sojourn before and had better service. The food was delicious and I would recommend Sojourn despite the service being so slow on this visit.
Great experience just like last time. Server was incredibly attentive and the food was good.
Happy hour was awesome. Staff and Rodrigo, our server, was very welcoming and accommodating Highly recommend crispy oysters and salads. Great place to go after a day at the Met. Will definitely return soon
Nice and dark. Great music. Great food. Very relaxing
My first visit here and it made a great impression. I was with a group and we all had different requirements. Two were vegetarian, one wanted to graze and two of us had skipped lunch and were ready for a real meal. All of us came away very satisfied. The duck and the brussels sprouts seem to be the big winners.
We went here for a team dinner for 8 people. It was perfect. We shared some dishes and each got our own dish. There was plenty of food (actually too much!). One dish was better than the other. Pretty decent wine and cocktail list. I do believe they have some seasonal specials as well. Service was very nice too. They don’t rush you. We went around 6:15 and by 8 the place was packed.
It was my friend’s birthday. They did an excellent job at making her day feel special!
We loved this restaurant! It was our first time there and it was a fantastic experience. The host was great to work with and he was very flexible when we need two extra chairs for our friends that came by last minute. The food was great and our service (Patricia?) was GREAT! She was so attentive and didn't miss a beat whenever we needed anything. We were a party of 6 on January 17th at 6:30 - I only state that so they can praise all of the people working that night - it was great and we will be back!!!!!
Nice ambiance, easy reservation and good food; however food took way longer than it should have. We waited almost an hour for our brunch order to come out.
The brunch deal of extree + side + unlimited mimosas/bloody Mary's/Sangria was an excellent deal and the food was good! The service was ok, because the restaurant was so busy. My biggest complaint is the restaurant is small and the tables were on top of each other. My coat and bag kept getting knocked off and there were not much room to move around.
Sunday brunch 9 people. It to 90 minutes from the time we sat down to get our food, we had a toddler. They offered nothing, not a bread basket muffins something it was 11:00 am when we sat down.
Amazing, as usual. One of my favorite restaurants on the Upper East Side!
Eh. Fine for an affordable UES place. Food was certainly not bad. Nothing special. Service was polite but indifferent. (Couldn't get a coffee refill. They got the order wrong and delivered sides after we'd almost finished eating.) Loud boozy crowd in the back. I suspect the all-you-can drink brunch is why people go.
The truffle polenta with egg was very one-note in texture and flavor and made me sick soon after eating. My friend’s french toast was burnt and bacon way overdone. Coffee was decent.
Sojoun is casual but professional. A varied and intersting menu. Excellent food! Attendive staff. Friednly atmosphere. You really don't find place like this on the UES...
Great date spot or for a girls night with the tapas style dishes. Wish the lighting was slightly brighter but otherwise this is a fun spot.
Restaurant, food and service were fantastic, but the bathrooms need some attention. Easy fix. A clean and smelling nice bathroom is a sign the kitchen is clean and in working order..
Great food. Tasty, well seasoned vegetables, salmon and Kobe beef sliders.
Excellent way to ring in the new year!
Having been to Sojourn some 20 odd times over the years, I will never go again. It has gone down hill terribly. Our waiter was completely clueless as to handle a party of 6 and the Manager was rude, condescending and an insult to the restaurant.
We live in Manhattan and go out to restaurants 3 or 4 times a week & have for 10 years. This place was a great addition to the UES, but has become an insult to anyone who would dare throw their money away by gracing them with your presence.
I would go into the details of everything that went wrong, but the list would be too long. Each of them was presented to the manager, and his help was pleaded for. Every request was ignored as the evening progressed from bad to worse. Mind you this all was while we were spending over $500 for a party of six.
My advice - DON'T GO NEAR THIS PLACE !!!!!!
This is a great spot for bottomless brunch - with reasonable prices and the ability to manage large groups. I will say that the food can take awhile to come out at brunch, but if you have the drinks coming, it makes up for it.
Order took forever to come out... then they got the order wrong for my companion
My first time to Sojourn for breakfast. Lobster Benedict was outstanding however it took 40 minutes to arrive at my table and the restaurant wasn't that busy. That being said, still highly recommend.
Horrible management. Server seemed nice, but the manager was so rude that we decided not to order/spend our money here. :(
Did not enjoy the experience. We waited over 1hr and 15min for food. We had a show to see that evening and they staff assured the food was coming with no avail. The restaurant also had an odd leather smell which was gross.
Great atmosphere, diverse and interesting menu, and great wine!!
