Permanently closed - not sure why open table is offering reservations
Restaurant closed. Opentable needs to delist so people don’t book tables at a closed place.
They are permanently closed
Temperature check and sign-on right away and tables are all 6ft away. Nice playlist of music. Really good food for the prices. Drinks were great and the guy (sorry I forgot your name) who served us was fantastic. 100% would recommend and I plan to visit again.
The special Thanksgiving menu had nice options and the food was tasty and a bit overpriced. The service was friendly but uneven, including a long wait for the entrees. Many apologies were made but they did not overcome the time wait for both food and checking out.
I visited Soigne years ago and was excited to go back for my birthday. While I was originally pleased to be the only ones in the restaurant, in hindsight, it was probably indicative of the service and food quality. The French onion soup was OK at best. I’ve had better and I’ve had worst. The macaroni and cheese was dry and the crab cakes were small and fishy. They came with a side of saffron risotto which was a bit strong for me. They allowed me to substitute them for a side of garlic mashed potatoes. But served me instant. And tried to insult my intelligence when I questioned it. One could say I am a mashed potato connoisseur. I understand the science behind it, including instant. Also, you can smell instant. I guess I go into this detail because of the trouble in making and keeping this reservation. We also added that we were celebrating a birthday. We essentially paid $85 for a burger and soup, because everything else was bad.
As a former restaurant worker, I’m disappointed in the lack of accommodation and ability perform the basic tasks of preparing food and proper service.
Lovely! Went with my daughter for brunch and the staff was kind and the food was delicious
Good deal and socially distant tables. Pretty street as well.
Came here for a birthday celebration brunch
Delicious food, gracious service
we will be back!
Excellent service! Really nice neighborhood spot for a quiet evening. They’re super pet friendly, which I love because my husband and I love to be able to bring our dog with us since she’s part of our family. They even gave her dog treats and a bowl of water. We’ll definitely be coming back soon to try brunch!
This was our second visit. We ordered an array of apps which we shared - sausage in puff pastry, crab cake, brussels salad & mussels and the glazed donut for desert. All were delicious. And, a bottle of Grenache which was perfect. The cinnamon, honey butter was a nice touch with bread service. The staff was warm friendly. They take COVID precautions seriously.
Overpriced food, definitely not worth the trip. Would not recommend.
food was great (variety and quality), staff was friendly and prompt, prices were good. wish they were open everyday!
They are doing a great job with all of the COVID precautions and the food was delicious. If this place was in my neighborhood, I’d be there a couple of times a month!
The food is NOT French. It's an insult to French cuisine to call this a "French restaurant". I ordered the pork loin and it was the worst I've ever had - dry, tough, chewy and simply inedible. My teenage daughter ordered the "chicken sandwich" - which French restaurant serves that! - and it was, again, dry, tough, chewy and simply blend. We went based on its positive review on Open Table. I'm sorry. I know times are hard but you can't serve food like that and charge that kind of price. And please, do us a favor - stop calling yourself a "French restaurant" if you can't even know what the "frites" in the "steak frites" are supposed to look and taste. The fries you served are called "French fries", Wendy's style. If you call yourself an American dinner, you are at least being authentic and honest with yourself.
Food was delicious and the service from our waiter was excellent. Highly recommend
Once again, a very good dining experience with all Covid-related precautions taken.
Haven’t been here in quite while and not sure why. Food and service were excellent. Escargots were not chewy at all and the sauce was perfect for dipping the piece of baguette. The steak frites was great. Tasty NY strip cooked exactly medium rare and fries were perfectly crisp. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the chicken cordon bleu and saffron risotto. We shared the chocolate patê for dessert and was the perfect ending. The service was very welcoming, friendly and attentive.
They also take all the Covid safety protocols seriously.
We will be back!
What a great experience this was. The service is outstanding.
If you can't get to Paris due to the pandemic, pas de probleme. Soigne could just as easily be on the left bank of the Seine. Mais non: It's on the left bank of the Hudson. But as far as the food, c'est la meme chose. We had mesclun salad, gateau de crabe, grilled brie plat, pork loin medallions. All merveilleux! Then a decadent chocolate desert with vanilla ice cream. Save the air fare and go to Soigne.
Horrible alcohol selection. Poor atmosphere. Horrible food quality.
Better to order pizza and sit in the car.
Note: this is a COVID-specific review. George our server was amazing--on a hot, humid day he came outdoors to check on us frequently. He was careful to take every conceivable precaution to avoid spreading germs--including repeatedly providing fresh hand wipes. And he was as gracious and charming as he was attentive. The food (a grilled brie plate, a lovely mesclun salad with Roquefort cheese, walnuts, green beans and honey mustard vinaigrette plus bloody marys) was delicious. The outdoor seating is on the street, not particularly well shaded and certainly not picturesque but fairly quiet.
Brought friends from Boston about the gem. Always good service, food and ambience. Will return. Friendly bartender / server George
Excellent! Fine French inspired food, excellent service, lovely ambiance and at a truly affordable price. The steak (frites) was superb and huge! Served medium was perfect! Brussels sprouts yummy! Lobster ravioli with peas in a pink cream sauce excellent. Happy hour gets you half-priced drinks, some of which are very creative. Desserts! Smoked praline ice cream! Chocolate and walnut bread pudding. Wow. This is a top notch restaurant that will make you wonder if you are still in Brooklyn. Highly recommend and will return.
Went for brunch with 7 people total and we all enjoyed! The service was top-notch, the price point was fair, everyone enjoyed their meals and there were $3 cocktails! Would definitely recommend and will return.
3 out of 4 of us did not have problems with our dishes, but the mashed potatoes tasted like boxed mashed potatoes. Additionally, even though we expected small portions, just one crab cake for the appetizer dish was a tad surprising. With the price point, this was all disappointing. Overall, the dish quality would have made more sense for $12 to $16 entrees, not $22+
The place is very friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing! Overall a great experience! Definitely coming back!
Received free champagne as was a long delay in getting seated even when had set-time booking. Salad was good, as expected, but main entree didn't come with the expected parmesan cheese until requested and even then food was unusually very bland. Additionally, even though vegan options available, they had run out of vegan cheese, so that was no longer an option.
Dying to try French in park slope myself and a friend went to Soigne for dinner the other day. What a great decision it was, it was absolutely amazing. Not only is the food fantastic, but so is the service. It is evident that management truly cares about the experience each of their customer's receive. The waiter was so incredible and the bartender made our drinks perfect. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer -- which was so good, not fishy at all and great flavor. For our main courses, I had the chicken cordon bleu which was absolutely delicious. My friend had the mac & cheese which was so good, I'm not usually the biggest fan of mac and cheese but it was out of this world (I think next time I'll have to get an order of this along with my entree). For dessert we got creme brulee - it was incredible. Sometimes creme brulee can be overly sweet but this was perfect. We had such a fantastic experience and plan to go back soon. So glad we made a reservation and decided to try it. If you're looking for a great French restaurant in the area, this is the place for you. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed.
Decided to try out Soigne. It did not disappoint. Service was spot on. We ordered all appetizers and shared in order to have a variety - the Split Pea and French Onion Soup were delicious as was the Stuffed Shrimp, Chicken Sliders and Stuffed Portobello Mushroom. Their Bourbon Lemonade specialty drink was perfect! Will be back, would like to try brunch too.
Ok for diner quality food but highly overrated.
Nice French Food in good atmosphere
Our waiter was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was terrible and over cooked. The Brussel sprouts were just mush, French onion soup tasteless and short ribs pale and bland.
Wonderful Neighborhood place with good food, service, and charm.
Good solid neighborhood place. Nothing special, but decent food and appropriate service.
Food, service and ambiance was excellent. Will definitely return.
I'm someone who finds something wrong with EVERYTHING...and I have nothing but praise for our brunch at Soigne. It was a beautifully mild day and we sat outside, which is always delightful. Our server was attentive without rushing us (we could have sat there all day!) and gave excellent recommendations which we both took and were very pleased with. The menu selection was excellent, as was our food. I had the blueberry/cream cheese stuffed french toast with sausage. I've tried this dish at many places and this was the lightest fluffiest french toast I think I've ever had! The cocktails were wonderfully-priced and if I hadn't had to go somewhere afterwards, I definitely would have taken more advantage of that! Even the lilac scented candle in the bathroom was lovely! Two thumbs up for Soigne! If I had more, I'd give more!
Excellent food, and although sometimes slow, service this evening was great too. The atmosphere is what is a bit disappointing- kind of like an old Mom & Pop place. Maybe better lighting and a change in the colors for the decor may help. If you can deal with an older decor, then it's worth it for the great, great food. We've had dinner here for three times now, and the food has never disappointed. Thanks.
Excellent. Happy hour, prix fixe, happy hour, cocktails at treat. Reasonable and good wine list. Server George friendly and efficient. Will return
Everything was great! A friendly welcome, attentive service and delicious food. We both had the 3 course prix-fixe dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. French onion soup for starters, followed by salmon and chicken cordon bleu and an extra side of mac & cheese. We shared two yummy desserts - creme brulee and chocolate pate topped with ice cream and whipped cream. The food was superb and we'll definitely be back soon.
