Soi4 Bangkok Eatery - Scottsdale
"Soi" is a Thai word for side streets or alleyways that, together, form the essential lifeline that makes up the fabric of Bangkok city. Like the city, our menu is a modern take on the traditional through the use of fresh local ingredients, sustainable practice, and creative approach to authentic Thai dishes. At Soi 4, we also offer Thai inspired artisanal cocktails and a wide variety of local and imported beers.
….influenced, accented, tinged, anything but "fusion'. We like to see it as a beginning of something interesting.
Chai yo – Cheers!
Clams, prawns, calamari, scallops and crab meat wok-fried with celery and scallions in yellow curry
Thai barbecued chicken served with somtum and sticky rice
Sizzling stir-fried skirt steak with green beans, apple eggplant, lemongrass, chili, and basil
Food was amazing the same for the waitress and atmosphere! Excellent time
The food and ambiance was great! Our server was fantastic.
Food VERY poor. Rubbery meat and quite bland
Great flavors in our meals and drinks. Restaurant is quite noisy. Wait staff was extremely gracious and accommodating!
Excellent!!! The service was so great! Our server was so pleasant and the bartender made us die vial ginger drop mocktails! So so good! Food delicious
We will be back
We went there to celebrate a very special family gathering. The drinks and food were outstanding. The server, bartender and the busser were all very attentive without being bothersome. I have never had a bad meal there since they have been open. Definitely worth a visit!
Food was amazing. Crab Fried Rice, Chicken Pad Thai & Fish Trap was the bomb. Nice atmosphere and great service
I brought my husband here to celebrate Father’s Day. We both enjoy Thai food and decided to give this place a try. We drove all the way up from Gilbert to do so.
The atmosphere in this place is really nice. The lighting and decor create an intimate and chill vibe. It was a busy Saturday night but not overwhelmingly so and there were no other parties waiting to be seated. We did make reservations just in case.
Overall the service was underwhelming. It took a good 15 to 20 minutes before anyone approached us after being seated at our quaint little table by the pagoda lantern. It took another 15 minutes before our beverages arrived. And then it took another 20 minutes before we saw our appetizer.
The food is just OK. We tried one appetizer and two main dishes. I would say they were all pretty basic and something that you might get while on an all inclusive vacation. Our first choice in appetizer was not available so we ordered a marinated skirt steak and Indian flatbread served with a curry sauce. We were underwhelmed when it arrived because there were only four small bites of steak which sat upon a small triangle of Indian fry bread. I wish the server would’ve told us it was very small and we should consider ordering a second appetizer.
For my main dish I chose the Seabass and paired it with coconut rice. The coconut rice really stood out to me as the star out of everything we tried. My dinner, again, was just OK and something that would most likely be served on an all inclusive vacation. My husband‘s main dish was also not very notable. He got a chicken curry dish and the chicken was tough and overcooked.
We decided to skip dessert. In general, This place is not worth the drive if you live far from the area. I’m not sure it really is worth the drive if you live close. It’s just basic and nothing that wowed us to make us come back. They should work on their service which might take this from a fair experience too good.
We absolutely love this place but food has not been up to par last 2 times. Really want Soi 4 to succeed because it has a wonderful feel with friendly professional servers. Hope they can get food back on track.
Came there last night for a friend’s birthday. The staff has always been so accommodating to us despite us arriving 15 minutes late. The food is incredible, and the bartender’s skills are spot on and she does a generous pour.
Highly recommend you get the Beef Short Rib Panang, Crispy fish filet, the Indian roti bread with steak appetizer (get TWO!), and the clay pot dish that has vegetables and glass noodles, and eat these dishes family style with coconut rice!
Wonderful dining experience there. Friendly staff delicious food
Wonderful Thai selections. They pay close attention to your dietary restrictions. Yummy GF options. Highly recommend.
Great food. We ordered several dishes and they were all excellent.
We had exceptional service and the food was terrific (we even ordered extra to take home). The restaurant had a great selection for cocktails, especially for the summer!
We sat at a high-top, the bartender was terrific.
I would highly recommend.
As always the best Thai food period. It is a treat.
First visit to Soi4 Bangkok Eatery and it will be a favorite going forward! Great menu and cocktails, everything freshly made including all the marinades and dressings which were exceptional. Got to meet owner and chef, although she wasn't cooking in the kitchen the night we visited, she shared she had prepared everything for the evening service. It's not often my wife and I try and new restaurant and it completely exceeds our expectations...Soi4 is the exception.
If you are looking for quality, fresh, delicious Asian food, this is your place!! The spices and sauces are outstanding. The food is absolutely the best in the whole phoenix/scottsdale area. The interior is soothing, modern and classy, the wait staff so helpful and knowledgeable. You will find some regular Thai food on the menu and also many native dishes that will bring your palette alive. This is not a chain and they actually care about your experience. And by the way, they have a full bar with great drinks.
Our party of four shared five dishes which were all excellent and yummy. My favorite was the eggplant. The wait staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. They accommodated the vegetarian in our group by making substitutions to ingredients and making suggestions. The ambience is upscale. If you are looking for the best thaifood in Scottsdale, this is the place. We look forward to coming again!
Best Thai restaurant in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Very creative on Thai food. Does both the staples well and is creative with many dishes. Fast service, with a great setting to talk or socialize. If you love Thai, check it out.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance! Can't wait to go back!
Probably the best Thai food available in greater Scottsdale. The menu has some wonderful new takes on traditional dishes while still offering everything you love about Thai food. The corn cake appetizer is delicious, as is the beef short rib curry.
Great casual meal. Delicious good and great service ! So few good Thai restaurants in AZ. This place is great !
Love this restaurant!! Thai is my all-time favorite and Soi4 is on the same scale as Malee's on Main in Scottsdale.
My teen daughter found spot on TikTok so we decided to try it. Made easy reservations online and was promptly seated upon arrival. Patio ambiance was great. Loved the cocktail special and recommendations from server. We will definitely be back
Great food and very inviting surroundings
We started with a couple of martinis and spring rolls. We shared the beef chow fun and sea bass all the food and drink choices were delicious
The ambience was so so only because they seated us next to the door despite being empty and we had to watch the in and out of delivery and pick ups
Excellent menu, reasonably priced and served with friendly, caring personal attention.
Something for everyone on the menu. We enjoy the yellow chicken curry, braised short ribs, battered prawns and rack of lamb. There are plenty of vegetarian choices also. This is also a great place for lunch with very reasonable priced options.
One of us has severe food allergies, especially gluten and we are always confident to be able to dine here with confidence.
Hands on operation by owners, one of whom is the head chef. One of our favorite places!
Love this place! Great, fresh food. Service was only slow because of the difficulties getting servers.
Located in Gainey Village, Soi4 sports a two level sitting area plus a terrace that is directed towards an amazing view of the Arizona sunset. The owner was very accommodating with the seating selection and will even help rearrange the scheduled time to get the location you want. The dining experience was great for a “family style” event and portions were just right to allow for a group of 6 to experience an assortment of amazing flavors. We intended to go for a fresh fried fish, but was notified that you must call them a day in advance to obtain the fresh fish, our fault. Overall, amazing food and drinks. I highly recommend Soi4.
Food as good as usual and friendly service. This is my preferred Thai restaurant in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area and always recommend it to friends
Only problem was that the OpenTable system had created 2 reservations for the same day/time/place/nb of persons, which resulted in a cancellation by the restaurant and some confusion when I called them asking why they had cancelled my reservation.
How can a decent reservation system accept the creation of a duplicate reservation? It's chipping away the level of trust I have in the service.
One Scottsdale's hidden treasures. Worth checking out!
Great food and ambience.
Excellent service. Great location next to Sprouts grocery store for those who want to come via Uber to a restaurant and pick up some groceries on the way home.
The starter items and soups are good but the main dishes are lacking flavor - like the panang curry.
The short ribs were great! Cocktails also tasty and fresh. Service was excellent and the food was out quickly.
Food was great esp tiger shrimp appetizer. Lotus cocktail and margarita were delicious. Great service. Highly recommend.
....75 minutes from the time we sat until the food showed up.
best food - nice owner - nice waitresses but very short staffed - must hire more people.
Great food and service! Food is always fresh and hot when served.
My favorite place on Earth.
