At Soho we are a restaurant located just opposite St james park football ground. We specialise in Korean & Japanese Food. Our concept focuses on a range of small plates including Robata Grill, Sushi & Seafood with a number of large plates available. Our chefs focus on a combination of big flavours and presentation. As well as a restaurant we are also a bar serving asian inspired cocktails, wines and beers from around the world.

I came here with my family after celebrating my graduation at Newcastle University. We ordered lots of starters, small dishes and sides to share between the 7 of us and it was all excellent food. Everything seemed fresh, was hot and very tasty. The service was also excellent - they even surprised me with a slice of chocolate cake to say congratulations on my graduation. We would all highly recommend this restaurant!

Had a table booked for 4pm saturday. Waitress seemed like she was in a rush and seemed to miss little things (new forks / sauces) 1st meal the bao bun was rock hard on the edge. Possibly microwaved from frozen? Sushi sharing platter just seems like it was all salmon which may be my fault. I love salmon but there comes a point when its too sickly so wouldve been nice with more variety. At the end I went to the toileas im walking towards the mens door theres a girl fast asleep in the basement area laying across 2 chairs. I didnt mind personally but doesnt seem very professional . Waitress took payment, no thank you or anything and walked away.

Firstly, the food was very good with plenty of choice, and it was nicely presented. The staff were courteous and friendly - the only issue we had was that our waiter abandoned us halfway through taking our order (I think he was new). Also they had run out of kimchi which I feel is amiss for a Korean restaurant, but the major negative was the state of the toilets - had I have used it before we ate, well, we wouldn't have eaten there. Not sure if they are always like this, or perhaps it was later on a Saturday evening and they hadn't been checked.

The food was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed, service was really good and the drinks were lovely. Will be coming back!

Very quiet when we got there got busier later. Ordered starters and a main to share but all the food came at the same time unfortunately.
