About SOHO - Atlanta
Since 1997, we've been striving to please our guests, whether they’re looking for old favorites, seasonal creations, small plates or an introduction to new wine. We’ve adapted our style to reflect current food trends as well as the way our guests want to eat. So while there’s a selection for those who want to splurge on entrees such as the signature Sea Bass, New Zealand Elk or USDA Prime NY Strip, there are plenty of other options including gluten-free and vegetarian selections along with weekly wine and tapas pairings. SOHO - Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
I have been going to SOHO since it opened, but disappointed with the last few meals. I suggest an 86 on the Thai chicken lettuce wrap appetizer. It was too sloppy and messy to eat with either fingers or a knife and fork. I had to go wash my hands after that. The Short Ribs were grossly oversalted, and excessively fatty. I should have sent it back, but didn't want my guest to have to wait on me to order another entree. I think the menu is old and needs an updated infusion of more hip entrees. For example, the Sea Bass at $32 has been on the menu forever. How about grilled red snapper served with wheatberries and charred bok choy for a change. The desserts continue to disappoint for this caliber of restaurant. A dessert cart wheeled around with mini desserts: Napolean, fresh fruit tarts, beignets would be fun. Please offer something more exciting than creme brulee and bread pudding. I can make that at home. On the plus side, Jesse was exceptional in service, personality and professionalism.
New years dinner with friends and family. Waited 1 hour past reservation time to be seated. After dinner was rushed to leave as they wanted to close restaurant. Food was cold when served and not as good as previous visits to restaurant. Highly dissapointed!
Overall our experience was great. We had a reservation for 8:00 and weren't seated until about 8:45. We were told when we arrived that they were running behind on seating, but weren't given an estimated wait time. I understand that it was New Year's Eve, and you want to provide as many reservations as possible, but please be aware of this next year and don't overbook. Jeff, the manager, was extremely apologetic and gave us a glass of Prosecco on the house. I would go back but not on a holiday.
My husband & I are at Soho restaurant this past week. The food was great, the soft lighting, quiet atmosphere made it a great place to have a night out from a hectic Holiday season. BUT, when we tried to use our Visa Gift cards from our children for Christmas, Soho would Not except them!! The manager said they had an out dated system! So if you go there your Gift Card is Not excepted!
Our family had Christmas Eve dinner at Soho. It was the first time for most of us and it did not disappoint. The food was wonderful and the service top notch. They worked with us to accommodate our seating so we could be in a hearing-impaired location to improve our conversation. It was a lovely evening.
Noise level was unbearable. Some dishes were terrific especially the pork chop. Lasagna was tasteless and we were treated very well in letting the waiter know. Overall, after the glowing recommendation it was very disappointing because a gal who was so obnoxious sitting at the next table - her laugh and loudness chased us off.
SoHo is a great restaurant that should get more press. Excellent in most ways; service could be better but the food is worth wait. Also it is a place where you can have a conversation without raising your voice. I highly recommend SoHo and will return more often.
This is in our neighborhood for which we are grateful. The food and service are excellent and there is ample parking....FREE! It's a great choice for an evening out with friends, or just us. I hesitate to give it such a great recommendation because we really like being able to get in usually whenever we wish! We don't want it to become too popular!
It's difficult to review this restaurant in its entirety because we went when there were a lot of big football games that night as well as just two days after Thanksgiving. There was only one other table of diners. I dined there on another weekend when it was filled. We started with calamari, which was very tasty. I ordered the scallops which had a delicate delicious sauce. My daughter had the pork chop which she enjoyed. We finished by sharing the chocolate bread pudding with ice cream. It was good but was more like a soft cake than the bread puddings I've had previously.
I have been to SoHo multiple times over the years, and this restaurant never disappoints. Atmosphere, food, service, and overall ambiance are always good, esp. the seafood entrees. It is a wonderful place for a simple dinner with friends or for a romantic date.
The staff delivers outstanding service and the food is great with a varied menu.
With a hearing difficulty a table in the most quiet area was requested. My guest and I were immediately taken to a table in a somewhat secluded, recessed area with just two tables and that was ideal for me. That consideration was greatly appreciated.
Service by Jesse was very attentive and not intrusive, Especially for a party of seven. Food was excellent, my Springer chicken was crispy and the meat moist, while a couple of picky diners raves about firmness and meat in the crab cakes. Compliments for the veggies from a couple of vegans in our party as well. No complaints, high praise!
