   Soho's prices have skyrocketed. They were offering a "special" of Georgia trout, green beans and potatoes last night for $56!!! Yup - that's not a typo -- FIFTY SIX dollars for fish and veg. And they have morphed what used to be lovely small plates for reasonable price and smaller appetites to 3 "special" plates, all of them hovering around $38. The food remains outstanding and the service is great, but this place is starting to change into a special occasion dinner, rather than a Vinings staple. Still no good chocolate options on the dessert menu -- chocolate bread pudding doesn't count.

   A late seating 8:30 on Sat night. First of 3 couples to arrive, we were quickly greeted, asked for a table outside, and hostess, with only a bit of awkwardness, joined two 4-tops and removed the unneeded chairs; just before remaining company appeared. It was a pleasant evening meal, nice folks, good food, and the rain let-off until the perfect time to leave the table and have drinks inside at the cleared-out bar.

    We have been to Soho many times. I may not go back. The service was awful. We saw our waitress 3 maybe 4 times, water and order, bring the food and then the check. We sat with empty wine glasses for 20+ minutes and I needed another drink to put up with the rest of the experience. The indoor patio was miserably loud and there were only 10 people in the room. It could have been the incredibly loud conversation about a colonoscopy from the table next to us but the acoustics were awful. I couldn't hear my wife but heard every bit of their 10 minutes of terrible dinner conversation. I like the food and service has been better, but it will be a while before I'm back to spend that much money to try it again.

    Our first time here was today. Well let’s begin with our first impressions. SOHO is a dress casual restaurant. It would definitely not be considered as an ‘upscale’ classification. Which is fine, just want to make a clear distinction for everyone who has not been here before. It is located in a boutique style shopping center, a very nice neighborhood restaurant. We don’t see this as a ‘destination’ restaurant where guests would travel to dine here, more for those who live in the area. For that, this is a great local restaurant. It’s has a good size bar for eating or drinking in the center as you walk in. They did not have air conditioning on or if I was on it needed to be turned up. It was hotter in the restaurant then outside. The drinks were all sweating on the table and no one put paper napkins underneath. We had to. Seating is not built for comfort. Chairs are all wooden. Many restaurants do this so the patrons don’t stay to long and they ‘turn’ tables faster thus increasing revenue. An old restaurant trick. Not to say SOHO is using uncomfortable chairs for this reason. Only the owners would know that answer. A nice casual atmosphere. Let’s move to service. Our server was Ariana. She was very pleasant, good table manners but it was obvious she was new. She was not familiar with the menu items. We were served a cheese plate and could tell us what cheeses were what and usually a server will tell you which cheeses complement the accompaniments. Not even an attempt. The other point was Ariana was not attentive. We constantly found ourselves looking for her. Waiting and waiting though out the evening. Her assistant would place a square tray on the table crooked. Now a polished server would square up the tray and not leave it crooked. It’s all about details. Ariana was very pleasant and very sweet but I blame management for this. This is just a lack of training from management pure and simple. She just needs more training. At great restaurants you will never see this

    The shrimp linguini used to be excellent; now not so good. The added spinach makes the taste sour and the spicy sauce is overdone. Bring back the original recipe.

    First time to SOHO but will not be our last. We had Alan serve us and will ask for him in the future. Also got a visit from James Reed the GM. Great guy. A great evening and well versed service and nothing but great experience for us. AAA+!!!! Don't change a thing!

    I ordered the special (trout stuffed with crab with risotto) and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! However when the bill came I realized it was a $55 entree. This came as a shock bc the other seafood dishes were priced much lower. But it was absolutely delicious!
