SOHO - Atlanta

There were 6 of us for a business dinner on a Sunday evening at 7 p.m. The restaurant was not even halfway occupied and our service was slow. We had to go to the bar to get water refilled. We only had one opportunity to order drinks. The food was delicious however the portion size was less than enough. Our overall experience was not great and we all agreed we would not go back.
We dined on Sunday night for a belated Valentine's dinner. The food was excellent. My first time having elk and I was very impressed. My wife's steak frites was cooked perfectly. I was disappointed when i ordered a cocktail off their menu and was told they didn't have all the ingredients. The service was a different matter though. The server wasn't very attentive. We were the first ones to be seated in that area but were kind of forgotten when others were seated. She asked the other tables what they were celebrating but not us! The feeling that my wife and I had was since we had our young daughter with us we were put into a corner by ourselves! The manager did swing by our table twice and asked us how we were doing.
This is my “go to” place when I’m visiting Atlanta. The food is always good and I prefer the smaller, more intimate setting in the Vinings area. My wife and I were celebrating an extended Valentine’s Day while in town for a trade show. We had a modest wait but seated within a few minutes of our reservation. Our service was excellent and the food was on par with my expectations. My wife had the Apple Sausage Ravioli and I had the Braised Short Rib over Kale. Both were Awesome!!!
Food is always good and our waiter was very nice. But so loud, we found ourselves having to almost shout and we were in the corner of the back room.
Daniel was super helpful. The duck special was delicious! And I had a Manhattan which was excellent.
Went there with the wife for Valentine's and the ambience and place were nice, the food was Ok. Wife's food was overcooked. It's hard to judge a restaurant on a busy night. I'd still go back, I think the potential is there and this place deserves another chance. Service was great.
Great food, the ambiance was awesome, and last but not least, the apple sausage ravioli was jaw dropping good 😁.
We had an amazing time and a very special Valentine’s dinner. It was our very first visit at SOHO, and we had such a great time. Everything from the food to the service was top notch. Thank you so much for making our first visit a special one. We will return soon!
It’s the mark of a great restaurant that on a special night, Valentine’s Day, with an overflow crowd, the food was again superb and the service sparkling.
A nice Valentine’s dinner. After one quick resolution, the food was great. Server Allison was personal however, the chef quickly substituted the sea bass for the crab cakes & the sea bass was perfect. Nice meal in the end.
I've been to Soho a couple of times before and enjoyed the food. I ordered the crab cake this time and was not impressed. Too much filler in the mix and not enough crab. Also the fries weren't crisp.
Always great! Food, atmosphere, service, recommend to anyone.
Always a pleasure dining at Soho. Definitely a neighborhood gathering place. Consistently good food, and wine selection, with a nice bar to sit and mingle. Bartenders are always friendly, and know their clientele. Nothing pretentious here, you can chat with strangers, people watch, or ask for a cozy nook and enjoy a romantic dinner.
I cannot remember my bartender’s name but he was middle aged with silver and charcoal hair. He asked a couple of questions and made me a cocktail specifically to my liking. I took every suggestion he made which led to a delicious lunch. I would visit this location again and again. It’s my hopes that you get him as your tour guide at Soho.
Great service and and even better food each time I’ve eaten at SOHO!
Always a winner!
One of my favorite “Go To” restaurants in Atlanta. Great food, wine list, and professional staff! Must do!
Monk fish was excellent!
Quite disappointed in SOHO. I had heard good thing and maybe we went on an off night but it was all around not worth $150! We made a reservation so seating only took about 5 mins. The decorate leave a lot to be desired, strange mix of beach like paintings and brad old hotel-esk table and chairs and window treatments. But once we were seated we had to wait about 10-15 mins before the waiter came by briskly and said I'll be with you guys soon...Another 15 mins goes by before he comes back to get our drink order. We ordered a bottle of Rose for the table, and had to request a wine chiller which took another 10 mins after the bottle was brought to the table and after a second request for one to arrive. The Mussels were very good, flavorful and very filling, but the shrimp linguine I ordered was watery and lackluster in any flavor as well as the shrimp being over cooked and rubbery, the pasta was boxed pasta that was stuck together in clumps, great thought for a dish but extremely poor execution. The Steak Frites my husband ordered was good, but still over cooked as he requested medium rare. Overall very disappointed and will not be back.
Soho is always a great experience. Excellent service, delicious food, and refreshing cocktails.
First time eating there. Enjoyed it very much. Will return soon. The server was great and the manager was great also.
Excellent dinner at soho. Attentive waitress, delicious food and pleasant ambiance. I had the Scottish salmon, which was delicious. Overall, an excellent experience which we will hopefully repeat soon!
Food was over cooked, we were not offered bread until after we finished dinner and it took forever to get a drink order and to get the drinks after we ordered.
Amazing place, quickly seated and made very welcome by our waiter. Everything was perfect for our "date night". Food was exceptional, wine selection was great. Overall A++, best place we've eaten at for a long time.
We ordered the wine flight with the matching tapas. The wines were wonderful and the food - way beyond expectations. The braised short ribs over pasta dish was one of my all time favs!! We had to order a few to take home with us. I love how the management offers different specials such as the wine parings and last summer's lobster boil. We are definitely going to be regulars. Great place with wonderful food and service.
Skip the Buckhead craziness and come to this super hideaway spot. Ridiculously good wine list at great prices.
The seating situation should improve. When we arrived the place was 3/4 empty and they sat us too close to the front door on a very cold evening. We requested to move. Obviously someone would have to sit there when the restaurant fills up but not when it’s half empty. It also seemed a bit racially motivated.
My son’s birthday.
Food is good, but never superior. Wait staff was over eager as there weren’t many people there. We had a lot of interruptions from more than just the server to see if all was fine.. I had dinner with an old friend I haven’t seen in awhile and we were just trying to catch up.
The tapas were great as usual. Two tapas with accompanying wine is a good deal. Cheese platter is also excellent.
Lively bar scene, tasty dinner and good service. A neighborhood gem
Excellent meal, Our server was fantastic- I think his name was Jacob?
Great food and service. Best local spot around.
I don’t know what the side was that came with the crab cakes, but it was brilliant, and the crabcakes were amazing, too! Great Service, too! I went there on a business trip a few years ago, so when I was back for business, I needed to come back to SOHO! Always an excellent choice!
We had a fabulous birthday dinner for my son on Monday night. We all had something different, and shared bites to confirm it was all well executed. I could eat that salmon once a week!
I have gone to Soho for 20 years and it is consistently good . You will never have a challenge finding a lovely glass of wine either. The flights are always fun.
Definitely try Soho if you have never been.
Enjoyed our lunch there very much. Friendly staff, elegant setting and great food.
Another enjoyable night at SoHo Vinings. Easy parking, prompt seating, friendly service. Menu choices were very good. Calamari a little chewy. Steak choice could have used more flavoring, but well prepared. Pork Chop seemed rather dry. Ample portions. Server was amenable to presenting separate checks. (Party of 6 did not have service charge added.)
This is normally a go to place for us because we live in the neighborhood . This was an off night for them . Waiter had an attitude and very indifferent . Food was slammed down. French fries slid off the plate onto the floor and no-one cleaned up. Food was good.
Great service. Delicious calamari, short rib, cocktails and atmosphere.
