Fabulous food, great service, beautiful decor. My second time there and can't wait to go back.
Amazing ambiance. Delicious food. Comfortable seating. Surprisingly, reasonable price for the area. 5 of us ate with food and drinks for low 300. Only complaints: smelled fishy in the restaurant. They dont know how to make a b52 coffee (the proportions). They fixed it but need to work on it. Would definitely return.
For my first time dining at Sofia, I tried out their Easter brunch. It was fantastic! The service was beyond amazing- this is the type of proactive and non invasive service I would like to experience at every restaurant. The food was amazing and I ended up ordering several meals and sharing as I could not decide between many of the choices. Happy to report every choice was excellent and this was a great way to sample the brunch menu. Thanks to the team at Sofia- I enjoyed my meal with you and will be back.
Never disappoints! My 4th time here and still awesome!
Had a girls dinner here, and we loved it!
The Veal Milanese came out of the kitchen looking dry like sandpaper....i asked for some sauce...and without saying a word the brought marinara sauce...and without saying a word they charged me $6.00 for it...thank god I didn't ask for butter!
Raw Tuna (Tonno) was very forgettable, while breaded veal (COTOLETTA ALLA MILANESE) was just spectacular... one of the best ever
Fantastic as usual. This is quickly becoming my favorite local restaurant. It's perfect for a casual meeting, or a fun night out.
Outstanding menu and cooking. very professional service.
Food was amazing. Service was great. And the interior is beautiful. 10/10
Always amazing. Wait staff and managers are awesome. We brought a stroller - no problem. We go all the time!
I brought some of my girls Who were visiting Toronto this past Saturday. Our food was great however getting drinks was a big issue waiting almost 20-30min to get a drink we ordered. I do know that everyone in our section was having the same issue. For that reason I am skeptical in coming back. We came there for an experience eat and drink ... and than more drinks and enjoy the entertainment which we could not. To top it all off after waiting 30min for our espressos our server tells us another 20min because they ran out of glasses and need to wash more. I did not have a good impression with this restaurant and I’m so embarrassed that I had brought my friends there to experience that.
Absolutely loved it we had a blast can’t wait to bring our friends back
Sophia was phenomenal! However, it was too loud (as a live band was playing on Saturday night) - which made it extremely difficult to conversate. Otherwise the food, décor, and service was spectacular.
Our meal came before our drinks. When our drinks did come they were great and our dessert was good.
if you book on Open table and have 4 people in your party, you will most likely get a table by the kitchen or the bathroom ... if more than 4 then you will have a nice table for dinning
Very noisy. Unable to carry on conversation with friends I came with.
I would recommend Sofia for the food. Service was not really good and the noise level was unbearable.
It would of been nice to have a dinner that we didn’t have to yell at each other. The music / band could start later not while we’re eating.
Beautiful atmosphere and great food.
Seems like the restaurant is littered with escorts and pimps. The food was delicious and the service was good as well. We watched a musical chair of escorts working johns in the adjacent table.
A fellow diner as they were leaving made a comment about witnessing the same behaviour.
Went to Sophia for my daughter's birthday for Sunday brunch. Typical over priced Yorkville establishment with low quality dishes, poor service and high prices. Despite all of that my daughter enjoyed herself and particularly liked the doughnuts served beautifully for her birthday - so every cloud has a silver lining.
Do not order the veal is deep fried and hard as a board. Bruchetta both salmon and tomato were nice. Truffled Scrambled eggs were decent.
My friends and I were disappointed they didn't have any milk alternatives available for our coffees.
The restaurant is beautiful, but that’s where it ends. Unfortunately the food was so so at best. The vibe from the staff, other than the front entrance was very nervous and unprofessional. We were there to celebrate a birthday, group of eight. The waiter, although mature, seems inexperienced. Would be around and even interrupt when there was conversation among us , but once asked for something, which we only asked for two things, had to be reminded to bring it after waiting so long for it. Bringing wrong orders to our table and then removing them to take to the proper table. Most of the staff including manager were very confused and in my opinion not very social or friendly. A one star strictly for setting!
Great food. Great vibe. Good for special occasions. Service was great.
Party of 4. The service was just terrible. Our waitress needed multiple reminding on everything. Drinks took 20minutes. No only Sofia cocktails, even a simple gin and tonic. We waited 35 min for the second plate to come of of the kitchen. Then when we would inquire on our food and drink, we were given the cold shoulder and the attitude was “it is what it is”. Quite disappointed. We will stick with STK and ONE.
Great food and excellent service, wonderful all round dining experience
Our server Kirk was excellent and very attentive. He had an exceptional understanding of all items on the menu and went out of his way to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
The sommelier was also very helpful in narrowing down our wine selection based on the flavor profile and regional characteristics we preferred.
The sommelier was especially helpful!
The band are off the charts and food is best in the city.
Excellent food and service !
Waited way too long for a proper table, i got there on time for table then had to wait after 1hour at the bar then they took me to a very poor area at the kitchen Naturally I turn that offer down then have to wait at the bar again for another hour not happy
The service was slow and just unintentional.
Loved it and will be back soon
We researched Sofia’s website and were impressed by the ambiance and live entertainment so decided to book reservations there to celebrate our anniversary. We were disappointed as soon as we were seated because we were assigned a table in the bar - right next to the entrance/exit.....and not in the beautiful dinning room. Then we noticed that there was no live band. The waitress later explained that live entertainment had been cancelled for the month of March. Apparently the sound system needed to be changed? There was nothing on their website indicating this? In any case, there was a DJ who played good music which gave the place a club feel. Although the staff were awesome and most of our food choices were good, we can’t get past the fact that there was no acknowledgement of our anniversary? We specifically indicated on Open Table that we were there for a special occasion. A simple Happy Anniversary or thanks for celebrating your anniversary at Sofia’s....anything would have been appreciated!
I was pleasantly surprised as it was m first time here. The ambience and decor is wonderful and feels nice and luxurious. Our waiter was more than knowledgeable, he was passionate as he described in detail many of the dishes. The food was pretty great as well. I order the wild boar pasta and it was delicious and a decent sized portion. My friends shared the carpaccio starter and said it was amazing - definitely executed in a different way than usual and lots of different flavours and textures. I especially loved that they had their happy hour until 8pm on a Friday night! I even loved their stemware. Seems like they put thought into a lot of things. When I asked where the washroom was, the girl behind the bar even walked me there! I don’t normally write reviews but this place was above my expectations and I would go again!
We had a great meal and the staff was very
Professional and friendly.
AMAZING ! Food, service, ambiance was all amazing!
Nice Italian food: especially the pasta and the meat ! And very nice people !
