Sofia Italian Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Really enjoyed dinner here. The bar scene was lovely -- Christmas tree and fireplace made it very cozy. The food was terrific -- had the eggplant rollatini and charcuterie to start -- both delicious. I ordered the Beef Wellington, which was over-cooked (asked for medium, and got no pink), but my friend's chicken piccata was awesome, served with a creamy risotto. Desserts were forgettable, but the martinis were made perfectly. Most importantly, the service was pretty outstanding! Not intrusive, but attentive and very polite. I will definitely return.
It is as it presents itself a steakhouse with some italian dishes. The antipasto for two was generous and had some interesting items on it, but served with triscuits. Calamari with peppers was very good and cooked perfectly. Beef Wellington was a treat cooked perfect medium rare with a 6 oz filet nice duxelle and and flaky crust. Food serving was good sized serving and drinks were reasonably priced with a generous poor.
This was my husband and my 1st time dining her. We were smart and made reservations this time. The atmosphere, seating, food and service was above excellent. We live local and are very happy we have new place to dine. I do recommend reservations though.
Have been here many times.
This visit was Thanksgiving Day.
They had special turkey dinner as well as full menu available.
Food was delicious ( as always) and did not feel rushed in or out.
Very relaxed atmosphere and we all enjoyed the meal .
Great drinks! Great food! Great service!
Expected more. Looks upscale but not. Comments:
Smallest pour of bourbon ever
Beet salad obviously in refrigerator. Too cold, lettuce wilted
White wine way too cold
Waiter cleared plates as each person finished instead of waiting until all were done
No skim milk for coffee
Enjoyed our first trip to Sofia’s. Wide range of offerings on menu and all were tasty. The place is quite lively and noisy. Service is friendly but a little slow. Our appetizers did not all come out together which caused our timing to be off. Overall a good middle of the road choice particularly for a larger group.
The Sofia Italian Steakhouse has and always will be an amazing place for my wife and I. The ambience was perfect for our anniversary and Elisha, our server, was great. We would recommend it for any occasion as we spent some time near the fireplace with drinks while we waited for our table to be prepared.
This was our first visit but not our last. The filet was great and the ambience wonderful for a nice local dinner. I hadn't been in this venue since it was Fontaines over 30 years ago and it is certainly a different place now. It is a high end steak house and has a very nice menu.
I was disappointed. The prices were very high, there was no vegetarian options. No vegetables or salad came with the meal. Beef Wellington came with a potato, and the pastry was not crisp. The salads ordered were expensive, serving size was small and there was hardly anything in them. Overall disappointed.
I went to Sofia's with my girlfriend for a date night. We had reservations and arrived early to grab a drink. We sat down in the lounge area which had comfortable seats and couches by the fire place. Cocktails were reasonably priced. Started with the calamari and was very impressed. My girlfriend and I both got the chicken parm with the handmade pasta option. We both loved the food. The restraunt was a little loud but it was a Saturday night and it didn't bother either of us. We will definitely be going back in the future.
I was with five other people to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were lucky to be seated in a back room which was reasonably quiet and even luckier to be able to close the door so we could really hear each other's conversation. Our server, Felicia, was pleasant and efficient. The food and drink were delicious. Sofia's provided us with a lovely celebration
Reservation was ready exactly on time. Server was attentive and prompt. Service in general was good. Food was O.K. - menu is standard steakhouse /Italian fare, relatively limited choices (5-6 options for each course), servings size is on the modest size.
Nothing shined on the food front - but the people that had deserts indicated that these were very good. Prices are moderate to high - close to "upscale steakhouse" prices.
The service at this restaurant is commendable, however, the food is just so-so. I've been a handful of times and ordered similar meals and had varying consistency for each visit. The ambiance is nice - it has that typical dark wood, steakhouse vibe to it. Despite being a steakhouse, there are also other non-steak options on the menu as well. Overall, it's an okay restaurant, but nothing spectacular. Please keep in mind that the parking situation is pretty bleak, and you will likely have to valet your car due to the lack of parking spaces.
the atmosphere was attractive, mostly adult patrons with a few somewhat noisy kids and very pleasingly quiet enough for conversation...no dishes and pottery banging, TVs and music blasting like in many places. Food servers were welcoming and performed their tasks well. Nicely presented entree's were expensive, good quality and of adequate proportions but a bit salty for my taste. We didn't order drinks, appetizers, salad, veggie sides or deserts due to the prices. Would have appreciated not being able to see the distracting TVs in the bar area. It was a disappointment to find that the menu had been changed recently and the delicious (but scant) sweet potato ravioli I was planning to order was no longer offered. It is nice to have a lovely restaurant nearby. But I can't afford to dine there more than once or twice a year. We were there early and were able to get a parking spot.
