Sofia Italian Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Lovely restaurant for a special occasion. The lighting was low and had trouble reading the menu, otherwise it added to the ambience. Although we found prices to be very high, the food was excellent and drinks were ample. The service was good. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. My husband and I look forward to returning to try other entrees.
It was ladies night out and we were pleasantly surprised to discover it was
a 3 course meal special night. Three of the ladies ordered from that menu
and one lady ordered from the regular dinner menu. We all started our meal
with a ceasar salad. Two ladies had the salmon & one lady had the seafood Diablo.
These entrees were excellent. The other lady ordered the haddock on risotto and
she stated it was also excellent. We all treated ourselves to a dessert; two ordered
cookies (served warm in a iron pan) with ice cream; one ordered berries & custard ;
and one cannoli. We will defiantly return. The food & service was excellent.
We went on a Saturday night for dinner with a group of 4 people. We were seated immediately. The place was very busy but the waitstaff was very nice and attentive. I have to say it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Lots of good choices for drinks, and food on the menu. Nothing so precious that it needed to be explained by the staff or googled. Arugula Salad with dried fruit was perfectly dressed and decent first course portion. I had the filet mignon and it was great. But the stand out options are the pasta dishes. We shared the pappadelle with short rib for the table and I wished that was my meal instead of the filet. It was amazing. My husband ordered the saltimbocca and it was the best I ever had. He had it over the risotto which was amazing- cheesy, creamy - really yummy. The portions were good size. We bought food home and were too full for dessert. But the desserts coming out of the kitchen looked great. Nicely presented and a good portion. I would definitely go back again and again. It is kind pricey - not your once a week spot. But it is steakhouse priced. They have a nice bar menu thatyou could go on a week night and have a few apps and drinks and call it a night. Loved this place.
Lovely evening in a cozy inner dining room. Not a giant menu but I prefer a chef who does a few things well. Arugula salad was delish. Scampi was a tiny oily but my halibut was cooked perfectly. Service was appropriately attentive and our waters were refilled regularly. I would return for sure.
Although this restaurant was pricey the food was amazing. My family and I went for my brother's birthday and it was highly recommended by a family friend. Each family member was happy with their meal and spoke highly of it. I LOVED MY MEAL! I got the salmon with the tuscan kale salad. The portions were just the right amount. Usually at pricer restaurants they do smaller portions, so my family was happy that this was not the case at Sofia's. We will be coming again.
I love Sophia’s for any occasion! The food is delicious and the ambiance is so calming. Beautiful accommodations and wait staff are the best. Us girls love our get togethers for our birthdays. And the setting is awesome for romantic dinners as well. I highly recommend Sophia’s!
We were so pleased to get seated 10 minutes prior to our reservation. The Staff was so polite and friendly. Our waitress, Lena was a joy and a delight. She made many food preparation provisions for our group. All the main courses were hot and so tasty. Everyone was so happy that we picked this restaurant for our New Year's Eve supper!
First time here for anniversary dinner. Wonderful food and superb service by Sean! We wanted to order chocolate molten cake as the nice finish but it was sold out at 7pm. I felt ok and wasn't angry. But Sean observed our 1% disappointment and he offered us a complimented cream bulee as he wanted to have a nice finish but not a bit of disappointment! Never being served like that! Gave the best tips we have ever given!
Service was very inattentive/ had to wait for waitstaff to show up to ask for another drink/ brought the wrong drink and had to wait again for the right one.
salad extremely small.
Not offered cheese on my lukewarm pasta dish and then was offered a little ramekin of already grated cheese/ no pepper. Waiter was in a rush, birthday party going on VERY loud. Told if we wanted dessert we had better hurry up because Kitchen was closing, no more drinks bar was closing . Closing at 9 and seated at 7:30, felt like they wee just dying to have us out.
Great food and service. We made a reservation and arrived on time. About a 3-5 min wait before being seated. 4 of us for dinner. Two had chicken dishes, one bolagnase and one filet Mignon. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Pasta tasted fresh made. Service was right on would definitely go back again
I enjoy Sophia's. Very often I will stop in by myself and sit at the bar. They have an excellent menu where you can order small plates and they give you a great pour with their martinis. Their
food is is excellent! I love their Arugula salad, chicken parm, and steaks. It's a popular restaurant so make a reservation if you're going for dinner.
