food was well done, the service excellent and the ambiance cool
This was my first time at Sophias and I was not disappointed. Had chicken saltimbocca and it was delicious. The antipasto was SO good, yummy cheeses, Italian meats, fig jam, crackers, grapes..... YUM! I had a dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, it was made very well. Our waitress was excellent. We never had to wait for anything and she was very attentive. I will be back
The food was outstanding and the service was great.
Very, very pleased with our experience and we will return again.
Had to wait for our table but the manage comped our drinks while we waited! Thanks!
We went on Mother’s Day. it was very busy ; we had a reservation and because we had to wait ( only 20 minutes), the manager delivered drinks at the bar on the house! They were very apologetic especially to my 93 year old mother. We were seated in a quieter section of the restaurant. The food was fabulous. Service was very attentive. A great time.
Had reservations but, still had a 30 min wait. Once seated it was 10 minutes before the server came to the table. As always, food and ambience was very good.
Overall good experience, I have eaten at their sister Restaurant Amelia’s in Stoughton MA which is okay. The food here is better the restaurant is a little dark, but over all the ambience is good. The appetizers were excellent, everyone enjoyed their entre, everyone enjoyed desert. The cost is about $75 a person if you are their to enjoy the restaurant. If you’re getting waters and an entre your looking at $40-$50 per person.
Food was great as always and the service was prompt and friendly.
Grossly disappointed. Will not return soon. Steak wasn’t hot. Fish was blah.
Nice atmosphere, bit loud ( expected to be) 3rd visit there, mostly at the bar .
was my wedding anniversary, my wife's halibut although good was minuscule compared to other restaurants ( look like 4 oz. for $28.00) felt ripped a bit.
I ordered my lamb ( $32.00) cooked medium, should have ordered med rare, every house is different but it was very dry despite the sauce.
Potatoes were just not good, no flavor at all.
Not looking for anything here, management came over but it was my anniversary, did not want to start anything.
You gave us a complimentary glass of champagne ( we really are not champagne or the drink that they gave us with a small strawberry or maybe a raspberry, we just toasted to each-other but did not drink.
Food and service were very good. But have to admit was shocked when we received the bill and there was a charge of $2.00 each to serve a birthday cake. Cake cost me $25.00 which we brought to restaurant, had seven people. Cost me more than 50% of the cake cost to have it served. Not happy with that charge - seems way way overboard. DON'T DO BIRTHDAYS here IF YOU ARE BRINING A CAKE IN.
Service was wonderful. Food was fair. More expensive than this type of place should be. I would say try it out. But I'm not sure if I would go back, with all the other good steak restaurants in the area.
Better than average food for what seemed like a bit higher prices than merited by the overall quality (good but not extra-special). Large portions of well-prepared fairly standard dishes so you'll be able to have a reliably good meal, though not necessarily at moderate prices unless you're a pasta fan. Among the 4 of us, all of the dishes were good though none seemed truly outstanding to us as new visitors. We're not locals but many seem to love this place so guess it will merit another try when we're in the area and in the mood for a revisit.
Bianca is a great waitress. Table service perfect. Rolls served immediately and warm. Food excellent.
Food was very good and Daniel was an excellent server.
Great food and service! Highly recommend the Beef Wellington! A bit on the noisy side.
Sofia's has become one of our absolute favorite restaurants. Consistently excellent food and great service. Excellent drink menu and great kid's menu as well. Highly recommend. During dinner time, if you haven't made reseravtions, you can usually grab a couple of seats at the bar or in the cozy lounge area.
food is good but plate very sparse don't think there was even 3 oz of fish they do give a good drink
was wondering why points are not eligible for this reservation made on open table
Fabulous dinner with friends. Seated in the private room with only one other table there so it was perfect for conversation without lots of noise. Loved the chicken saltimbocca. Beef wellington was cooked to perfection. Very attentive service!
Excellent for a family graduation party.
Sons 21st Bday celebration
We are old friends getting together.
The food was wonderful!
Had a great time!:)
I took my dad here for his birthday. We arrived early but were seated right away. Our server was pleasant but confused us by taking away our bread, oil and plates while we were eating it. Then brought new bread and oil but no bread plates. She also took away out flatware saying she had to give us a new set. We were puzzled as there seemed to be no difference except for a steak knife. Both meals were excellent. We also loved the desserts.
First time diner, food and service were great! Nice for conversation, not noisy. Good variety of menu options. Very pleased with the experience !
The food and service was wonderful! We brought friends with us and they loved Sofia's as much as we do. Always a good meal!!
The place is nice. Dark woods and clean, the staff friendly and attentive. I made reservations for 5:30 pm but chose to sit at the bar, the place started filling up fast. My wife and I had the mussel appetizer - it was bland. I had the scallop and shrimp scampi (4 each) scallops were tasty though small, the shrimp disappointing the saving grace was the spaghetti but portion was small and the price large. My wife had the chicken piccata - she said it was delicious and finished the plate, I ate mine as well - I had done a lot of yard work and was really hungry. The Deep Blue drink wasn’t made well but the Espresso Martinis were good. If I go back will probably get a steak
Great place for dinner, good choices, meat, fish and pasta.
Everything was fantastic, the food, the waiter. I loved the look the of the place and next time will have to reserve a spot near the fire place. Very nice spot for a date night for sure!
My husband had an appetizer and salad which were excellent. I had basked oyster appetizer and short rib entree==excellent as well. Waitress very friendly and knowledgeable. This was our first visit although we live nearby and have been passing it by for years! We plan to return.
We went to Sofia Restaurant last Saturday night for my wife's birthday. The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. This is one of the best steakhouses we have ever visited. Also - the deserts are amazing.
It was great
Everything was wonderful!
Service was great, food was very good. Very clean and nicely decorated.
My husband and I having been wanting to go Sofia’s for quite sometime. Sadly it did not live up to our expectations. The pasta was heavy, the sauces unexciting. My husband had Seafood Fra Diavlo. The spice level was appropriately hot, but the sauce was thick and pasty as was the pasta. I ordered the short ribs over Papparedelle. The pasta was thick and dry. The sauce had an odd flavor that I could not recognize. The calamari appetizer, was, however, delicious, with a sweet but tangy sauce. The one bright spot was our server, who was spot on; charming, efficient and very pleasant. Not sure if that is enough to get us to go back.
Been to Sofia’s before and it has always been one of our favorite. Excellent food and service and the best martinis in town. Highly recommended!
This was a nice place. The food was good. The service was very good. Bianca was our server and she did a great job. My friend had the prime rib special and said that for the price it wasn't as tender as it should gave been. I thought the place was a bit loud.
Sofias is a lovely spot for dinner. The menu is extensive and varied. The food is delicious and the portions are huge (ie doggie bag!) Our waitress was very attentive, but not overbearing. The atmosphere was lovely. We were in a small side room which was very private, but when another party was seated, it became quite noisey.
