   We went to Sofia in Miami’s Design District yesterday to celebrate Mother’s Day with friends from Sarasota, FL, who were getting off a cruise. It was the perfect chance to reconnect and celebrate. We spent a lot of time choosing a place that met everyone’s dietary needs, had a good vibe, strong drinks, and a track record of good experiences. Since we had been to Sofia less than a year ago and enjoyed it, it felt like the right choice. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server approached almost immediately asking if we were ready to order drinks and food. It felt rushed, as if they were focused on flipping the table. Still, we understood—it was a busy holiday. I was the only one who ordered bottomless and was surprised how much I liked the Sofia Spritz. We ordered our food and appetizers shortly after. Everything was going well—we were enjoying the drinks, the food, and most importantly, the company. However, I did have to flag the server down for each spritz refill. After a couple refills, she came over abruptly to say, “Your 90 minutes are up—no more refills.” That surprised us. One person in our group showed her time-stamped photos proving we were outside 90 minutes ago. She pulled out her electronic device and defensively showed when drinks were ordered. Then returned with a second device to double down. We never requested a manager, but one came over. She initially sided with the server and told me it was my responsibility to flag the server down. That felt off—we go out to be served, not chase servers. She did apologize and comped a round of drinks, which we appreciated, but the vibe had already changed. A better approach: “Your 90-minute limit is almost up—would you like a final refill?” Also, no free iced tea refills—they're $5 each. We won’t return on a busy day to avoid feeling rushed again. On a positive note, the food and drinks were on par and enjoyed by all.

   I had the most incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious - every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable. I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu. Definitely a new favorite spot!

   It was a great experience, we were in Miami for only one weekend and wanted a beautiful brunch experience, Sofia was the perfect place for that! The food was delicious and the service excellent!

   The food and wine were outstanding The service was great Tables in the center of the restaurant were uncomfortably small for 4 people The staff was gracious and moved us to a larger table

   "La comida y el servicio en el restaurante Sofía son excelentes. La decoración del local es muy atractiva. Sin embargo, sugeriría que bajen un poco el volumen de la música para una experiencia aún más agradable."

    We started off the night with several delicious cocktails while we sat outside 😋, perfect. We had a hard time deciding what to eat and couldn't narrow it down to just one thing, so we chose the tasting menu. We tried several different menu items that were amazing, and every time we thought dinner was finished, they brought something else out. We left totally stuff and were super satisfied. We can't wait to go back. Thanks for the great night.
