Soco Ratings and Reviews
We got there about 30 minutes early and were seated right away. Our server was kind enough to take our photo. The host/concierge was an elegant tall lady who helped us make our menu selection and checked on us periodically. We even saw Mr. and Mrs. Daly come through the door but they did not stay long! (At least we think we saw them..lol. Thank you SoCoBk for making our 13 year anniversary a night we will always remember!
This was my first time going there and I was pleasantly surprised. As soon as I walked in they greeted me warmly. My date was late so just sat at the bar. The GM greeted me and was very kind. Now the food was amazing. Nice portions, absolutely delicious and affordable. On complaint although the jazz trio was great it made it hard to have a conversation. Especially since I was seated next to them. Had my date and I speaking loudly to hear one another. That being said I highly recommend this restaurant and am planning my next visit. Nothing like good and creative soul food.
This was my first experience at Soco. I went for a Birthday Brunch on Sunday, 1/21/18 with two of my girlfriends. The atmosphere was positive and exciting. The aroma throughout the establishment filled the air and heightened the anticipation for trying the food. I had one of their signature dishes, the red velvet waffle and friend chicken. Honestly, it was delectable and so delicious! I did feel like there was a slightly long wait time for the food, however, you can't rush greatness 😁 (And I think we were all just really hungry so the food wasn't coming fast enough, lol). All three of us were very please with the food we ordered. Everyone around us seemed to be having a great time. Smooth R&B music completed the sweet aura of Soco and the servers/workers were polite. I will go back to experience it at Dinner time. I got great vibes and really enjoyed my time there!
Love this place! Quality of food is always on point! Hope it stays that way. I have to say though it was hard to have a conversation with music so loud. We kinda had to yell... that would be the only negative comment I would have to say. But I am going back because the food is delish!!!!
Food was great as usual i orded the blackend salmon with mac && cheese it was amazing the first time i was there i had the jambalaya and that was great as well the drinks are pricey and the size of the cup didnt match the price but other then that everything else was perfect
I have been here on several occasions and really like the food but the service seems to have gotten worse. After having our appetizers the busboy cleared the table along with utensils. My hands were dirty and sticky and there were no extra napkins around an no-one offered any. When the entree came, the waiter walked away without setting up the table with napkins or utensils. Not happy at all with the service but as I said earlier, I like the food.
I love SoCo. I don't know why I have not realized how loud the music is played. It was Sunday night at 8pm and the music was so loud, I had to write my order on a napkin! The food, as usual, was amazing but that noise level needs to come down a notch. It destroyed the lovely ambiance that the place carries. This is not a club; It is a restaurant...
I give this place an A+ it was incredible from the service, ambiance, and of course moat importantly the food!!! We came on a Sunday, and they do all day brunch which was great because we got to order a few extra things to try it out. All impeccable! You can't go wrong with anything!
I took my mom here for birthday brunch and she loved everything from the mussels we had, to the lobster, shrimp and grits. I despise the taste of grits but the grits from Soco were so delicious and creamy I almost ate all of mom's food. I had the red velvet chicken and waffles and it was delicious as well. Every dish was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We would definitely go again. I would love to try their dinner and lunch menu.
PS. The drinks were good too..My mom had to finish mine because I was driving.
