This place was recommended to us. I made a reservation. Arrived at 6:15 PM and there were only two people in the bar talking to somebody that works there. It seemed almost like a cover for criminal activities. Dark and questionable. We did not even stay.
There was no one there. We were 1 of 3 tables. The food runners had no idea where the food went and kept delivering food to our table that we didn't order. There were 3 tables! Food had no flavor . We had to ask for soy sauce from the waitress for our sushi, who stated she didn't know if they even had soy. Just underwhelming and overpriced and the staff seemed bored and like they just wanted to go home.
For the price of our meal the overall experience wasn't worth it. The food didn't meet expectations, the atmosphere and details put into the ambiance of the establishment was little to poor. The staff was not fit for the desired experience and price that Society was trying to portray. The staff was also not knowledgeable about the restaurant. This made our overall experience unsatisfactory. Saddening to celebrate our anniversary this way.
I'll be as nice as I can. This is not a dinner place. It's a dance club with food and drinks.
Love the food and the service
The restaurant had good food but the service could use improvement. I think the waitress was new but very sweet. One of my guests received their sandwich with fries 10 minutes prior to anyone else receiving their food and they had to wait until we all had our food to eat. Took awhile to get water refills and wouldn't have minded if we were asked if we wanted more cocktails.
Very disappointing. It is a huge restaurant space and we were there on a Tuesday night. Maybe not the busiest night of the week. Our server was great but little details were missing. A friend ordered a martini and they were out of olives!! This is a Center with a gourmet grocery store. What would it have taken to walk over and buy some. The excuse was that the food delivery comes the next day. Society has a bar business too. I wondered what was going on up there.
On the other hand the food was pretty good with decent presentation. Other than the martini other drinks were good.
It was ready bad. First of all, the place was empty, only us and a couple at the bar. I ordered a lunch sald and my friend an omelette and one chicken sandwich with friends. I got my salad first after 20mn and my friend waited 30mn to get their dish, so 50mn to cook 2 meals with only our table with a food order. That was ridiculous.
The salad was bad, wayy too much dressing. The omelette didnt come woth potatoes or even a piece of bread and the fries were cold
For being so new, the place is so dirty, and smelly. Announce a clean-up and we will return. The entire first floor reeked of a dirty mop smell. Please clean up with clean mops and rags.
Came for dinner and the Jazz. The dinners were good and the Jazz was great.
The food is beyond awful! The chicken was rubbery. The mashed sweet potatoes Luke-warm. The asparagus was limp and drowning in oil. The positive. The band was good
Food was mixed up and it took a long time.
This was our choice for our anniversary and it was great! We had an amazing time and look forward in going back.. Ty
Great all around. Good was excellent and service was great
I will never go to this restaurant again. Most menu choices not available. To add insult to injury the food never arrived and after almost two hours we left. The only good thing was we were not asked to pay for the two appetizers (one of which was mac and cheese and COLD) or drinks. By far the worst dining experience I have ever had, and I have been around a long time.
Staff management was almost non-existent, Dirty dishes allowed to stack up on tables, Buffet was poorly laid out, two hostesses seemed confused, untrained, although pleasant. Prime rib was very good as was the Carver, Our waitress was MIA most of the time. Seemed under staffed, untrained, unmanaged.
I had reservations and they weren’t ready for us.
Food was adequate (mediocre)but certainly not worth the price-no better than Applebee’s;
Wait staff was good
This was a Sunday brunch. The price was $40 per person, with no alcohol included. The buffet was very basic, eggs, bacon, bagels, some sushi that wasn't bad, but nothing exciting and the overall quality of the food was poor, especially for the price. The desserts seemed store bought. The service was poor, I think the bartender may have been serving us and didn't know how to get coffee. It was overall all a big disappointment. Maybe when they are in club mode it is worth checking out but for a family brunch - pass.
Restaurant was not busy at all.... but still service was slow. Asked for lemon with the water and didn’t get that. Server didn’t refill water. Came to check on us once during the entire meal. We asked for separate checks and he got it all mixed up. Food was average. Overall it was a so so meal.
Entre arrived before Salads .one had to be sent back three times . Friendly young servers who have no experience or training.
This was my first visit to Society and It was impressive! I ordered the lamb and it was superb. The complimentary appetizer of sliced beets, pasta and potato salad and chick peas was delicious. The waiter was helpful and attentive. I am looking forward to returning soon.
Menu on OpenTable is not what the current menu is, and I was very disappointed in the new menu. The absolute worst Cobb salad I ever had. We were literally the only customers at lunch. I can see why
A little unorganized with a confusing 2 menu option. We ordered from both menus. The cheaper menu's food wasn't very good. Items missing and the main dinner was sloppy. The more expensive menu we ordered steak which was good but cold. From the 3 options of Sauvingon Blanc only one was available. It was overall ok but disappointing
Exceptional service and fabulous food
Recommended for ambiance. Roof top bar is great place to enjoy a cocktail. The food was very underwhelming. I had the filet, and can honestly say it was one of the worst cuts of meat I have been served. It was cooked medium rare, but not a good piece of steak. Seasoning would have helped, but for $41-$42, I would have expected a better Steak. Menu was small- extra menu was weird- all Greek. Bottom line, I would go back for cocktails, but not for food.
Brought a friend from out of town to Society. Upon our arrival we were surprised to see how empty the place was . After we were given two free appetizers, it became apparent that they were struggling with the menu. The staff was wonderful and entertaining . The food was fabulous. Unfortunately I don’t think it is going to survive the growing area .
They were out of the two wines we ordered and the first entree we ordered. They substituted the sides from what was listed on the menu without informing us.
We made a Sunday Brunch reservation at Society. The restaurant was empty, and didn't look like they were ready or organized for brunch service. There was a hostess and server for all parties in the restaurant which equated to longer wait times. Only 3 tables were present including ours (the other two were large parties). The menu was very limited compared to the amazing dishes described on their website. The server was very friendly but said that the restaurant was going through some recent changes. The website said that DJ service started at noon but we were told - not until 2 or 3 pm and that it would be upstairs. The night experience at Society is great, so we were really disappointed with their "brunch" experience.
No draft beer on a Saturday night. Band never played on time.. menu was very limited.. just overall very disappointing
Food was terrible. $38 for a New York strip and was not edible. Potatoes were bland. Best thing on the plate was the asparagus. My wife’s salmon was below average. Crab cake was filled with fillers limiting the crab meat. That was below average as well. The sushi was good for not being a traditional sushi restaurant. We will not be back.
On line the menu was great however when we got there it had changed and was like TGI Friday’s. What a disappointment.the waitstaff apologized to us for being let on.what a sham
Great menu on open table. Real menu worst the McDonald’s
Bate and switch of the worst kind
You should kick them off you site
They seem to have a new brunch menu that is condensed from the one online. Also, they were out of half the items on the menu. Not sure what was going on since I have heard great reviews. I probably won’t try it again for some time.
Our server was great, but over worked and experienced some very rude customers at the other tables. We felt really bad for her. I don't believe it was her fault. We always enjoy coming to Society and always bring all of our friends that come to town at least for one visit when they are here. We love that you have music and especially loved Jazz nite.
If I could give less than one star I would. This is BAD
My score is based on the fact that there was 1 waitstaff for the entire restaurant. Apparently a new manager was brought in 2 days prior so maybe it will improve. The 2 of them did work and hustle like crazy but everything took forever - the food, the drinks and the bill. The food was pretty good except not always as described in the menu. I hope they can turn things around.
Service was awful.
The service was not the best. The food was just ok. It was very loud. There was no music.
Great band, great service. Food choices limited. Fun place!
