Light dinner on a hot night on a cool patio after a Warriors win.
Sociale is spectacular from start to finish!
A longtime favorite, especially inside where it is quiet. Small, lovely food, good wine.
We had dinner at this restaurant friendly staff and food is super good, serving is just right.
Goon is excellent. Mollie charming and Josh , a great guy.
I’ll always come back.
Relaxed with reasonable prices for great food. Very good service- friendly and attentive. Always a favorite with us. Topped of with pastry/ milkshake as usual.
Delicious food! Sweet neighborhood setting, have been there 3 times over last few yrs and always have a wonderful, enjoyable meal w friends! Excellent wine list
The food amazing. The sommelier fantastic !
It was like Sicily-a welcomed and pleasant surprise in a comfortable, cozy environment of locals, many celebrating special occasions. The wine and food was superb, from beginning to end. I only regret waiting so long to try this restaurant.
We came at 5pm when Sociale opened after a theater performance downtown.
Easy to get to, parking a breeze. Very casually paced experience...3 of my
friends had never been and all said they would be back. I’ve been enjoying
their food and ambience since they opened... both are impeccable. Now that I’m
living out of the city, it’s wonderful to bypass all the hype of a newest “hot” spot
that’s impossible to get a reservation for and so loud that you swear never again.
We had the avocado toast and burrata salad for apps and and a couple daily special
salad for starters shared by the table. The citrus, toasted pistachios, goat cheese
and arugula w/ radicchio were awesome. Entrees included their sole w/ a side of
wild mushroom risotto, 2/enormous bone in pork chops, gigli pasta special with
short rib ragu, and a scallop/shrimp w/ lemon and roasted veggies. EVERYONE
was in heaven. Our waiter and sommelier were indispensable, everything carefully
crafted and organic, just can’t say enough. Goat cheese cheesecake with lemon
curd so sublime. Can you tell we liked it A+++++‼️
Dining in the charming patio transports one to a cozy bistro in Italy. Food, service, and ambiance are all wonderful!
Super attentive wait staff and extraordinary food. As always. Love this place.
Good food, interesting wines from California and Italy
The wait staff is great the food is incredible and it’s a cozy place to eat. A little noisy at times when it was busy. But nice anyway. Very Pricey but worth it for a special occasion .
The kitchen was very slow, it was almost an hour before we were served our main course. When we asked for additional bread it was almost thrown on the table by the bus person. My serving of roasted hen was miniscule. It was not the best dining experience.
Beautiful and delicious dining experience. Creative yet comforting food, nice wine list, great atmosphere for a date or intimate family dinner with excellent service. Will definitely dine here again.
It had been a while since we dined at Sociale. So glad that they are as good as ever! The food might even have improved a little, if that is possible. Only downside is that the word is apparently out, because they were very busy, and it was especially noisy as a result.
My wife and I went for our anniversary. We decided to share several different dishes. For appetizer, we had the Burrata which was mild and delicious. A worthy investment. For pasta, we had the special which was also really good. For main course, we tried the prawns and halibut with fried brussel sprouts and kale on the side. The prawns and halibut was pretty bland and mushy. Not worth it at all. Tho the fried kale and brussel sprouts was really good. Then we had the Sfingi for dessert. Fried dough with honey and a vanilla milkshake. Complete waste of time and money. The corner donut shop has better fried dough and the milkshake tasted like they used supermarket ice cream. To summarize, $50 was well spent, the other $43 was completely wasted. Will not be going back.
Great meal and love the vibe.
Pasta was ok tho under seasoned. Husbands pork chop was tough and flavorless. Soup was bland.
Intimate setting. Gracious host and personal/attentive staff. Appetizers and entrees as good as I have experienced at comparable restaurants. We will return. Highly recommended.
Sociale is a favorite restaurant and we love to go there Food is delicious and beautifully presented and the staff is so friendly, caring and attentive. We feel “away” and on a holiday when we’re there.
Loved the food, appreciated being served earlier than our reservation and thrilled that the noise level was low. (Hope i filled that out correctly in my evaluation ...great to be in a restaurant that was more quiet...at least at 6pm.
Great place, great food
Delicious food and great service. Looking forward to returning again!
It's our local favorite place. Always good. Always take our out-of-town guests there.
Gnocchi were like hockey pucks, way too much flour in the mix or over worked, and main course fish was so over cooked it was unpleasant, duck pasta was very tasty. One out of three isn't'a good experiecnce.
Always one of the best plates in town, especially if you lean on the expertise of the sommelier. Sociale has a very interesting wine list, and it's affordable. Dining in the courtyard is most pleasant, and the background noise muted. My guests always rave about the experience.
This is my go-to for good, reliable, quality food & understated charm. I need a Sociale fix every few weeks or so from NorthBay!
Dogs should not be allowed into patio area. Using a service dog for perfectly able person is fraud.
Very nice ambience and service.
But Papardele pasta was overcooked.
Gnocchi was literally uncooked. For vegetarians point of view food was not upto the standard with no use of greens in the dishes. But thats is only for vegetarians though
Picked this place for a special friend’s birthday celebration. My flight into San Francisco was quite delayed, had to cancel our reservation and just wing it. Sociale took us in late and did not disappoint! From the host to the sommelier to the waiter, cuisine and birthday chocolate slice of heaven. It was a perfect evening.
Fantastic food, great ambience, amazing wine list.
Charming restaurant with a European feel tucked into a quiet pedestrian feel. The service was impeccable. The food was good but not terrific.
Very nice neighborhood place. We will go back for sure. The outside seating is nice but it was cold, need more heating lamps.
Sociale is consistently excellent. The staff are warm and welcoming and perfectly attentive. The pastas are out of this world. The setting is a sanctuary.
Good food, good service, good ambiance. I recommend!
This is a romantic cozy hidden jewel that I have been enjoying for many many years and it is never a disappointment. Can be noisy though
