Really nice, casual but fun and classy. Lovely servers (we had “Irish” Kelly- she was wonderful!) and hosts as well. The food was all wonderful and very good quality. We also had cocktails- spicy margarita and espresso martinis- they were perfect! We were very pleased

Love the Sociale. Oyster appetizer was very salty. Good but a little too salty and I like salt lol. Server was not as attentive as she could have been. I used to serve back in the day and she could have checked on the table more especially since it was super slow in the restaurant. Wanted to send the appetizer back but she never came back to ask how the appetizer was until we ate it all lol. But overall she was sweet. As a former waitress I get it we have our days.

I’m hesitant to write tough reviews knowing the bounce-back from the pandemic makes industry performance really challenging. However, when diners are also struggling with when and where to spend their time and money when they choose to go out, it’s important to share when those experiences are so underwhelming. In an otherwise fairly empty restaurant space, we were seated right by the bar area, which continued to get crowded based on a special occasion group at the bar. It was very difficult to hear ourselves talk, or think. Seeing other diners also seated near the bar while it filled and continued to get loud was indication the host and management overall could be more considerate of dining guest experience. Not a HUGE deal to us initially as we were there for good food. Unfortunately, the food was quite underwhelming. We ordered: - the trio of dips, which came not as an app but when we were nearly finished with our main courses! We almost cancelled but figured it sounded tasty… and had finally arrived. The dips were all bland and tasteless. Completely overpriced as well (over $20!) - the chicken club sandwich was mediocre at best. Description sounded great but was also quite tasteless. Thin, poorly breaded and fried chicken breasts. Barely any crispy prosciutto (pork = key to a good club!). - the Burrata salad didn’t seem to have any arugula (as advertised) but instead included a lot of toughest greens from a mesclun mix. It was also pretty flavorless. - the fries were likely the standout, but even those were inconsistent… a fair amount soggy, some under seasoned/salted As for service, it was clear they were doing their best. I may not have even chosen to give an honest review had the dip of trios been comped. Our waiter admitted to forgetting to put it in the order… and we barely ate it because of the bland taste. Stronger management and also chef talent (even a chef consultant) to step up their recipe game would go a LONG way

Went for brunch - plenty of breakfast and lunch options. The potatoes that come with the breakfast dishes are delicious. We didn't have the pancakes but heard another table raving about them (and instantly regretted not getting!). Service was friendly and attentive.

Printer's Row and the South Loop must have really arriveed if the neighborhood can support a place like this. The owners have spared little expense to construct a clean, open, space with enough to the requisite urban rustic (exposed pipes, bricks, etc) to make a very attractive interior indeed. Nice big windows to look t ht the neighborhood, too. Friendly, attentative funny wait staff, good drink selection and well mixed cocktails. Amazing food selection. We'll have to come back seceral times to get through our picks, and will, even if we have to come all the way from Ann Arbor to do so.

Others have mentioned that the service was not great - but, I found the staff to be pleasant and knowledgeable; they gave ample time for a social evening. The food was good, but lacking in key areas. The chicken salad on a croissant - everything was great, except the chicken salad which lacked in flavour. The bread pudding was also quite mild in flavour. Presentation was very good. I would give the place a try again, don’t feel it is fair to judge on just one visit.

Great, off-the-beaten path lunch spot to get away from the tradeshow hustle & bustle at the McCormick Center. Strangely empty for lunchtime though, our party of 3 were the only customers there right until we left. The food was great, especially the truffle fries. However, service left little to be desired. For being the only table in the restaurant, the server seemed less than enthused to be serving us and the time from ordering to receiving our food was very slow.

Patrick, the manager of Sociale welcomed us and asked if we would like to sit in the Sociale dining room even though our reservation was for Cafe Press for their brunch and lunch menu for Restaurant Week 2023. Natalia, our server from Cafe Press, came to take our brunch and lunch orders. She was friendly, attentive and very efficient. We enjoyed their morning grazing board with smoked salmon and shrimps, prosciutto, Asiago and egg bagels. Not only was it beautifully put together, it was also delicious. The grilled portobello with caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and goat cheese on focaccia was savory and delightful. Thank you Patrick and Natalia for giving us a wonderful first time experience at Sociale.

Food was good! I liked their take on chicken wings and the flat bread. Wings and ranch sauce was great!! Flat Bread was excellent!! The ribs need a higher quality of meat and were not cooked well, actually overcooked. Guess everyone does not know how to do ribs.....LOL!! I would still recommend this place. The food was tasty and the service was good.....Work on those ribs and it will be an excellent next time!!

In general the experience was fine. The food we ordered that came out correctly was quite good. The flavours were very different and thoroughly enjoyable. Unfortunately the service was not up to snuff for a restaurant of this quality. It took us an hour from the time we sat down and all the time our food arrived, including appetisers. One of our meals had to be sent back twice which made no sense as we had explained what was incorrect and re-ordered and it still came back wrong. Don’t quite know what was going on, but in the window there were two of our meals sitting there for 20min however it was dry and not enjoyable. I do think we may give it another try when it’s better staffed and peak season to see if there is an improvement in the service as the two things that did come out correctly were good. One other note, it looked like there was only two servers for the whole restaurant, so a little bad from the management side.

Sociale is perfect for a casual date. The place has a nice ambiance. I thought the food was tasty, I enjoyed the Buffalo wings and the spinach and Gouda dip. The guacamole was a little bland. Diners at another table ordered burgers, and they looked incredible. Overall, I was pleased with our food choices. The restaurant was pretty empty, so the service was fantastic. The waiter was attentive and prompt. He also had a pleasant attitude. I would definitely go to this restaurant again.

Great place to eat. The service was great. Mick was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the food and he's one hell of a bartender!! This was our first time there and we will be back with a bunch of friends. Highly recommended.

I came with a friend and started with red wine. After a couple of samples, I chose the one I liked best. It turned out to be the most expensive, which I should have checked first. I was having trouble with their menu on my phone and just decided to use recommendations instead. I had the octopus as an appetizer and we shared the penne pasta. For dessert we had the little doughnuts. The octopus was a bit unusual as the bacon and peanuts overpowered the star. I am more of a traditionalist. The pasta came with chicken, but I did not feel it had much flavor. The doughnuts were pretty good. Overall, I felt I overpaid for this meal. I would give it another try if they had a happy hour.

The host was very pleasant so I was excited as to what the rest of the evening would be like. But unfortunately, our server was not the best. She took another couple's order before us & we were seated at least 15 mins before them. After she taken their order, never acknowledged us & she went to eat food. I had to ask someone who was our server because we were waiting. Won't be going back.

Our server and the drinks were great. We started with the chicken wings, which were good! We then split the burger, upgraded to parmesan truffle fries and got a side of the Brussels sprouts. Honestly everything needed seasoning. Had to add quite a bit of salt and pepper, which was too bad

Not great! Sewage backed up into the restaurant and it smelled FOUL! Manager didn’t say a word. Waitstaff was horrible. She disappeared. Had to ask for check. She preloaded 20% tip. You couldn’t take the napkin off your nose it smelled so bad. Could hardly get out the front door without stepping in waste. Second time there. Will not go back. Not worth the $$$!!!

I had a Ceasar Salad with Shrimp and the shrimp we sauteed and tasteless. The server was extremely pleasant, customer-focused, and replaced my shrimp with salmon. Once he returned with the salad, I noticed the lettuce was limp. Rather than sending it back again, I ate the salmon and left unsatisfied. I will probably not return again for food....for drinks, maybe.

We sat on the patio. There was a lot of traffic noise which made it difficult to hear conversation. They do not have paper menus available but offered the use of an IPad to view the menu. Food was fine.
